Hollywood is running late.

So it's Thursday and I haven't had a Hollywood post yet so ummm let's get to it shall we?
  • And starting off with the cute bebes we have a newbie in the mix. Little Usher the fifth aka Cinco, haha best nickname ever. But really little Usher is sort of adorable, and it doesn't help that his dad is big Usher, haha.

    how precious

  • And for the second bebe of the week we have little Harlow Madden because ohmygosh she is so freakin adorable. Seriously her little smile is just the cutest thing, I love it.

    ahhhhh so cute!

  • Movin on from the bebes....in sad news, another Golden Girl has passed away. Bea Arthur passed away over the weekend. Although she probably wasn't everyone's favorite on the show you still can't help but be sad. We'll miss you Bea!

  • And in happier news, Twilight news to be exact...not a whole lot actually. Oh, the Twilight cheeseburger video has been making the rounds. So check it out. Enjoy. Oh oh again, Taylor Lautner has been seen canoodling with Selena Gomez and this pic is just adorable to me, oh teenage love affairs:

  • Also in favorites news. Craig David was on several websites today. Without a shirt on. Fixing stuff. People know who he is and not just me!

  • Another hottie that has emerged to promote Wolverine...oh no not Hugh, I do love Hugh don't get me wrong, but helloooooo Ryan Reynolds, nice to see you again!

    yumm.

  • Oh hey guys I didn't forget you because umm Halle Berry was at the LA premiere of Wolverine and I gotta say, she's smokin. I may have a girl crush.

  • And in TV news....
How I Met Your Mother. Best show ever oooooooor Best show on right now ooooooor Best of the Best of the Best? Haha. Seriously this show cracks me up.

Top Model. Buh bye Natalie. I sort of liked you, but eh. Peace out. For last week's recap I will again divert your attention to the most hilarious of recaps here. Oh and this Tyra spoof video is also a must watch, seriously hilarious. As for last night's ep....Teyona and Aminat are dumb, seriously they bother me (and I have this sick feeling one of them is going to win, ugh) and I knew Fo was leaving, I'm so sad I liked her.

Grey's Anatomy. Yay for a new episode! It was so cute and so sad and so happy. And I thought it was pretty funny that so much of it was wedding because of course I notice that now, haha. And speaking of the Derek and Meredith wedding, they have their own Knot page, haha.

John and Kate Plus 8. Yeah I know the show isn't on right now, but ummm John is being sketchy. Seriously John, stop it.

The Hills. Why do I watch this? I don't know. I know that once Lauren leaves I will be watching it no more. But I will say that Heidi and Spencer have ruined the best day of the year...my birthday...those toolbags were married on my birthday and in my hometown! WTF Speidi?! Why would you ruin such an amazing day?! You even made my favorite color your wedding color and it didn't look good! Ah! How could you!?

However I can forgive you simply because you took this picture:

    oh too ridiculous.
(thank you julie for this gem)

  • And for today's WTF news we have a girl that beat off two "thugs" with her marching band baton. Seriously it's not really WTF, more like bad ass. But really that is sort of awesome, you know those guys were not expecting the girl to beat the crap out of them, gotta love it.

And that my friends is the Hollywood news of the week (well as much as I could find in a short time, haha), anything I left out?

happy thursday!

The Joshua Jackson story.

So I told you I'd tell this story eventually right? Hollywood news just has to wait another day because before my life got uber exciting and engagedlike I ummmm met Joshua Jackson!!!

So how did this all happen? Let me share.

My mom's friend got me tickets (that my parents paid for, Happy Birthday to me!) to the Paley Fest presentation of Fringe. Basically every night for two weeks a different TV show is highlighted and different cast members and staff of the show come and speak on a panel and last Thursday night just happened to be for Fringe.

So Matt and I sat with my mom's friend and the show started. A special clip was picked to start off the night and I almost died of laughter. It was from the "Breakfast Club" episode of Dawson's Creek when Pacey mentions Mighty Ducks. Seriously, priceless.

After the clip was shown, a full episode of Fringe was aired. Once the episode was over people clapped and I looked over to the doorway near me and there was Joshua Jackson. I almost died of happiness right there! But then Josh ran back in to be appropriately introduced, haha. The moderator of the night was a writer for Entertainment Weekly and he introduced JJ Abrams first and then a writer and a producer or something and then Ana Torv (the leading lady of the show) and before I knew it out came Joshua Jackson again! Ah! Heart! Yay! And last but not least, John Noble (who plays Josh's dad on the show) came out.

The whole panel was great. Joshua Jackson is hilarious and witty and ah, I am an even bigger fan now it's that's possible. JJ Abrams is so young looking. John Noble is pretty ridiculous too. And Ana Torv seems so fragile and cute and I heart her too.

Once the panel was over everyone rushed the stage to get autographs. I tried to get up there but it just wasn't happenin, so I took pictures instead. And I tried to get through to shake Josh's hand but that wasn't happening either. And he wasn't taking pictures with people so I was sort of bummed, but I totally understood, way too many people.

helloooooo Pacey Whitter!

he was signing away, what a nice guy

Ana found something pretty funny

aw I love his smile! le swoon

However, luck was on my side! I found a spot right by the exit and as Josh was leaving I yelled out "Josh!" and he looked over at me and I said "I just want to shake your hand I'm a really big fan" and he shook my hand and said "Thanks for coming out, it's great to meet you" and he smiled and I was giddy and swooning and Matt was laughing at me from afar and then Josh was out the door.

But OHMYGOSH I MET JOSHUA JACKSON!

That statement alone is aweosme. I shook his hand. I said hello. He talked to me. He smiled at me. Seriously amazing. Meeting two of my top five in two weeks, yeah I'd say that's sort of awesome. And heck I've met three of my top five in the past six months, man I love those celebrity gods.

I wonder who I'll get to meet next..... Keanu? You out there? :)

happy wednesday!

And the birthdayness continues...

First of all, thank you all so much on your sweet comments and tweets again of congrats. It really was a weekend to never forget and I'm so glad I could share it with everyone, woo. I mean my best friend flew in from North Carolina, then I got engaged. I mean what could else could I ask for?

But alas I present The best birthday in the history of all of my birthdays Part II.

Saturday: On my actual birthday me, Matt and Jen made the rounds to my parent's house then had brunch with Matt's dad and ended up at his mom's house afterwards to celebrate a bit. After celebrating with the parents, Matt stayed at his mom's house to watch the draft and Jen and I went off to shop a bit and get ourselves some fancy schmancy manicures.

After our girly day of hanging out we went back to the apartment and hung out with Matt for a bit before getting ready for the night. My sister came and picked us up and dropped us off at dinner (which was so nice of her to be DD all night) while she did her own thing (heck she even paid for dinner, such a good sister). Dinner was fun at Tokyo Wako, their food is so tasty and I was still giddy from having my two favorite people there and being engaged, my gosh I'm engaged!

Once we finished dinner, we killed time a bit before heading over to the wine bar. After that, everyone started showing up and it was a great celebrating my birthday and our engagement with all of my friends. I was seriously in birthday heaven.

some of my favorite girls celebrating my birthday!

ohmygosh guys, we're engaged! haha

Aww me and Jen!

everyone toasting to it all

Kimmy and me having a good time

all the sisters

I've known this girl since 1st grade, love Leticia, love her

the engaged couples, ah, love it

All in all it was a great night, tons of food and drinks and lots of friends. I had a great time celebrating with everyone that came. After the bar a bunch of us eventually made our way back to our apartment and when I walked into our apartment this is what I saw this time...

My sister, while we were at dinner, filled our apartment with 25 balloons and left a present for me on the table. It was so surreal and adorable and cute and fun and I loved it.

We all hung out a bit and drank some more, played music and laughed and ohmygoshed and yeah, it was fabulous. Best birthday ever.

Sunday: Woke up and hung out a bit. Stopped at In-N-Out for breakfast/lunch before dropping Jen off at the airport. I was pretty sad to see her go but then again I am seeing her in a month so it's all good. Afterwards Matt and I made it home and I took a nap (I mean man this weekend was exhausting, but in the best way possible). Post-nap, Matt, my dad, my brother and I headed over to tell my grandma the good news of our engagement. It was fun to have such good news for her.

After visiting my grandma we went to my parent's house later to celebrate my birthday and our engagement with my family. It was so fun to retell the story and have some red velvet cupcakes and champagne, because honestly I still can't totally believe it.

toasting with the family, minus one sister

All in all it was the most amazing birthday I have ever had and I couldn't have asked for anything else. And I'm so glad my family and friends were there to share it all with me!

happy tuesday!

Big Birthday, even bigger news!

aka The best birthday in the history of all of my birthdays Part I.

First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you everyone for the fabulous birthday wishes and tweets and Facebook posts and everything, it was so incredibly sweet and you are all rock stars.

Secondly, remember when I said that Matt told me he got the "best present in the history of presents"? Yeah well his present definitely lived up to his claim. It was the best present I could ever possibly ask for.

Backing up a bit, Friday at work was awesome. Got to go to lunch with some coworkers and after lunch we were supposed to have a meeting but instead we went and had cupcakes and it was great. Even better my boss let me leave a bit early so I could make it home in time for the plans Matt had made.

So I get home, get all dolled up for dinner and we hit the road. Before I know it we're by LAX but I wasn't really paying attention too much. Matt "missed" his exit and we ended up having to go to LAX which I still didn't really think about as anything and before I knew it we had pulled up to a gate and there was my best friend Jen!!! Matt had flown her in for my birthday. I most definitely screamed and jumped out of the car and cried a bit from happiness and ah! It was such an awesome surprise.

After we got Jen we headed back up to Pasadena and Matt said we were going to stop at our apartment so Jen could drop her stuff off and what not. So we walk in to the apartment and this is what I saw...

I squealed yet again!! My parents had come over and decorated with birthday signs and balloons and dropped off the dinner Matt had ordered and even left a pitcher of margaritas! Seriously it was so cute. I was so excited to have dinner in with two of my favorite people and talk and drink and just have a good time.

After dinner was done Matt said he had one more gift for me but it was outside so I had to walk out with him. Then he stopped me on our porch and told me to close my eyes while he went to go get it. I was such a nerd and said I didn't want to keep my eyes closed because I was afraid of the bugs. But before I knew it Matt told me to open my eyes and when I did he was on one knee in front of me with the most perfect ring ever. He didn't even have time to propose before I started crying and saying "ohmygod are you serious?! are you serious?!" I was such a teary, goofy mess and eventually Matt got up and asked me to marry him. And I yelled out "of course!!"

And Jen, being the best friend that she is stayed inside ready with the camera for when we came back in. So she got these great shots of the newly engaged us! Ah! I still can't believe it!

ohmyfreakingoodnessihaveafiance!

kisses and more kisses!

of course I had to get a picture with Jen!
ah! so glad she was here to share it with me.

letting our family and friends know

toasting to our future marriage...ohmygosh marriage!
haha, I still can't get over it.
obviously. :)

and Jen took a picture of the ring,
I am very much in love with it

So folks that was my Friday and my goodness I couldn't be any happier.

Part II of the birthday coming tomorrow and then I promise the Joshua Jackson story, but you can't blame me for posting this first :)

happy monday!

25 and Fabulous!

It's here! It's really truly finally here! After mentioning it non-stop and getting giddy just thinking about it my Birthday is HERE!! *

I am so ready to be 25 it's not even funny. Don't ask me why (well sure you can ask me) but I've always been excited to turn 25. Most likely because my birthday is April 25th but also because 25 just sounds so cool. I remember being in 6th grade and thinking how cool 25 will be, not 21 but 25. Love it.

25 sounds adult. 25 sounds like a mature person. 25 sounds classy. 25 sounds like fabulous, that's what it sounds like. And now, I am 25!!

Man saying that just makes me smile. And I pretty much sound like the biggest dork ever, but whatever, haha.

Anyhoo I just can't wait for the birthday festivities to start; after work tonight Matt's taking me to a surprise dinner and giving me "the best present in the history of presents" then Saturday night I rented out the back room at a wine bar and a bunch of friends are coming and we'll have food and wine and be merry and I can't wait!

And with that I bid you adieu and hope you have a most fabulous weekend. Oh and...

Happy Birthday to Me!!
Squeeeeee!

***oh and yes I totally met Joshua Jackson and this is officially the best most amazing month ever and that post will be coming next week, woo***

*okay well let's not get technical my birthday isn't until tomorrow but I don't post on the weekends so ta da birthday post today!

happy friday!

Three Things.

One. Today is Thursday which makes today awesome because I am off to the Paley Festival for Fringe tonight and I may actually get to see Joshua Jackson, and then I may faint or squeal in joy or just giggle like a school girl and hope Matt still loves me afterwards.

Two. I got a new birthday dress in the mail and it didn't fit, so it made me really glad I bought a backup that's just as cute if not cuter. But it also made me realize that even though it's my birthday my Wii Fit still needs me and I need it. And with 25 I will work out again! Woo!

Annnnnnd Three. I promise after Tuesday I won't be talking about my birthday any more and the blog will be birthday free for a bit, and I hope you're not all sick of my birthdayness yet and you still heart me dear freaders. :)

And what three things would you like to share today? Woo!

happy thursday!

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

The awesome is almost overwhelming.

Things that are awesome:
  • Birthday celebrations starting on Friday. (I know you're getting sick of hearing about it, but my goodness I am so excited for my birthday, it's like 21 all over again, haha)

  • This song. Any song that can make the Eiffel 65 song popular again gets props from me.

  • Leftover cheese pizza for lunch.

  • All seven of my college besties going to North Carolina Memorial Day weekend! I almost squealed when I bought my ticket yesterday, haha.

  • Bloggers taking over Sin City in June. It's going to be epic.

  • Me not having a total breakdown over the cost of everything the next two months. Hey I like Ramen, so it's okay.

  • Possibly, maybe, who knows, fingers crossed seeing Joshua Jackson on Thursday night.

    yes please. :)

  • My hair. I'm in love with the shortness.

  • It's Earth Day! Yay Earth! Are you green today?

  • Twitter. I'm so glad it's finally picked up since I was on it for so long with no one doing anything. Now it's a little crazy, but it's still awesome.

  • Red velvet cupcakes. *hint hint* :)
Things that aren't as awesome:
  • It's supposed to be in the 60s this weekend. 60s people? 60s? We just had 100s here, what the eff is this 60s business? I do not approve.

Yeah that's about all the unawesome I can think of right now. Life is just way too good right now. What's awesome in your life these days?

happy wednesday!

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Oh yes, a Hollywoodful post.

Hey Tuesday, here already? Yeah I don't mind. And Hollywood news here we go...
  • And this week's first cute bebe is little Zuma Rossdale. Seriously he is such a cutie pie. I love it.

    you lookin at me? :)

  • And because I currently love all things How I Met Your Mother, I had to share this adorable new family photo of Alyson Hannigan with her hubby and brand new baby Satyana.

    what a cute widdle bebe

  • Also in bebe news, Ellen Pompeo is knocked up! So exciting, I wonder if they're going to write it in to Grey's or not. But either way congrats to Ellen and Chris!

  • Moving on from the bebes to some favorites. Joshua Jackson. I heart him. And with Diane! Ah! Divine! And the fact that I could possibly see him this Thursday at the Paley Festival, yeah I can barely contain myself. But besides that, they really are adorable together:

    so dapper.

  • In other favorites news, it's time for some Twilightness. Oh yes, still going. First order of Twilight, new favorite site: Letters to Rob. (there's also a Letters to Twilight but I love the Rob one best). Seriously it's hilarious and I recommend you check it out.

And Twilight to the second. Love this pic of Kellan and Peter "reading" New Moon in the airport. Oh what pranksters.

And the third Twilight related item of the day, Rob Pattinson. Seriously the man is hot. Hot I say.

    so zexy.

  • Totally unrelated to my favorites have you heard of Susan Boyle? Of course you have. But I finally watched the video last week and I was impressed. Seriously the woman just made me happy. If you haven't watched her singing yet, you need to.

  • In movie news...
The official trailer came out for My Sister's Keeper. Now I loved the book, seriously loved it. And I'm still not a fan of Cameron Diaz as the mom and apparently the ending is different which sounds ridiculous so I just don't know if I'll actually be able to see this movie. But hey you can give it a chance and let me know what you think.

  • And in TV news...
    Fringe.
It got renewed for a second season! Hurrah! That and ohmygod last week's episode with the gila monster, ah. I screamed. Love the show, but it scares the bejeebus out of me sometimes.

How I Met Your Mother. Awwww Barney still likes Robyn! Adorable. And man I love this show. Matt and I are still watching Season 3 on DVD and every episode cracks me up, I can't help it.

Speaking of Barney, NPH hosted the TV Land awards last weekend. I didn't watch it, but I still love him and this pic cracks me up:

Desperate Housewives. Wow, they really killed Edie off. I thought it was a pretty sweet farewell. Sort of reminded me of the episode when the handyman died but eh still fun. And I love that they didn't sugarcoat her personality either, true Edie form.

Brothers and Sisters. Love. This. Show. For starters, Ryan needs to leave. He's ridiculous. I can't stand him. I love that Sarah hooked up with a temp, because man he was hot and that was hilarious. And umm Tommy, figure your stuff out already, oh wait not going to happen, dumb write off. Boo.

Greek. Awwww Ashley likes a boy. A cute boy. And Rusty likes a girl. A cute girl. Seriously this show is so mushy I freakin love it.

Top Model. Oh London I liked you, I really did. But it was so obvious you were getting kicked off with your "weight loss" issues and what not. Ugh. Ridiculous. But man the recap is funny, so check it out.

10 Things I Hate About You. Remember the movie? Of course you do. It's aweosme. But apparently ABC Family wants to turn it into a TV show. Heck they don't want to, they are! This summer! I think I veto this idea and I will not be watching it. I mean really. No ABC Family, No!

  • And um not a whoooole lot else happening in Hollywood this week. Britney Spears had a concert or two, Josh Kelley and Ryan Cabrera are twittering like crazy and I'm still bummed their show isn't in LA, Perez went on Larry King about the Miss California show down or whatever it's being called and Madonna fell off a horse. Anything else? Umm. No idea.

  • Today's WTF story we have a mom and daughter duo that I in no way want to be like. The mom has spent over $15,000 in surgery to look more like her daughter. Umm creepy? Very creepy? Ah yes. It's almost like Linda and Brooke Hogan but creepier. I'm not even posting their pic but you can get the full story here, enjoy the creep factor.

Anything I missed today? Let me know.

happy tuesday!

Is it Summer yet?

Is it Summer already? Because really it totally felt like it this weekend. It was in the 90s the whole time and I was so lazy and hung out with friends it was amazing. Seriously, amazing. I don't even think I can put it into words how it was was, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try...

Friday: Got home from work a bit early (which is always awesome) and headed to dinner at the OG (also known as Olive Garden to some people) with Matt to use up a gift card he had. And oh man, it was scrumptious. I got the newest dish, the lasagna rollatini with chicken and I think I may have drooled at how good it was, haha. I most definitely recommend the next time you hit up an OG. After dinner we used more gift certificates at Baskin Robbins and indulged a bit in some ice cream deliciousness. Once we got home we headed to the local dive bar with two of our friends and it was so much fun. I'm pretty sure I was buzzed by the time the night was done, haha. All in all I'd call the night success.

Saturday: Woke up earlyish and commenced in project Clean Apartment which luckily didn't take too long, oh the benefits of living with someone, haha. And then before I knew it I was off to chop my hair off. After getting my hair cut (which I must say I loved, as always) I headed over to Paseo to do some shopping because yeah with a birthday coming up why not spend more money on myself, haha. I bought a new dress and some shoes and a tshirt and ah! Love. After some shopping I met my friend Megan at the movies and we saw Sunshine Cleaning. It was actually really good. I mean I knew it'd be good, it looked good, I love Amy Adams, I love Emily Blunt, Alan Arkin is hilarious and umm yeah can't really go too wrong there. Yeah it's dark but it was also refreshing and funny and I really enjoyed it. After the movie I headed home where Matt and I basically did nothing for the rest of the night. It. Was. Awesome. I mean I don't know where the night went, we watched some shows on the DVR, drank some wine (well mostly I did), played some Wii, made some stove top popcorn, gave myself a pedicure and yeah, it was great.

Sunday: Went down to San Clemente with my mom and some of her friends to celebrate my godmother's birthday which was fun. Walked around all the cute shops, took in some sun in the proces, had some tasty Mexican food, twas loverly.

When I got home Sunday night Matt and our buddy Jeff and our friend Stef were BBQing outside. It was like I was walking into Summer, it was awesome. The dinner turned out great (ribs, salmon, asparagus, pasta) and we had fruity drinks and beer and watched How I Met Your Mother. Afterwards Jeff played the guitar for a bit and we sang along and hung out and basically it was amazing. Oh oh and of course I took some pics too, gotta show off the new hair cut.

aw cuuuute.

check out that hair cut, not bad right? :)

Matt and Jeff reppin it

Me and Stef, woo

So in a word, lovely. A lovely kind of night that made me love having our own apartment all over again :)

And now it's Monday again. But it's okay, it's my BIRTHDAY WEEK! haha, I kid. Well not really, Saturday is my birthday and I'm so excited for it, and I hope this week just flies by, so Woo to that!

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

Friday, April 17, 2009

Oh weekend I love you.

Yesterday was incredibly busy at work my brain got fried. Not even kidding, I'm pretty sure I heard it fizzle a couple times throughout the day. Because of this, I spent most of last night envisioning all of the things I have to look forward to this weekend...
  • Getting my hair chopped on Saturday. I want it short like I usually go and I figured why not do it before my birthday, bring in 25 looking at least a little different.

  • Not falling. I've made it since Sunday without toppling over my own feet again and I'm confident I can make it through the weekend.

  • A possible movie outing? I get the shakes if I don't go at least twice a month. :)

  • Going to Dana Point with my mom, my godmother and some of their friends. The weather should be lovely and it'll be fun to hang with the ladies.

  • Wine. I plan on drinking it. Hopefully that doesn't affect my plan of not falling.

  • Cleaning the apartment. Yeah I may be a crazy person, but I sincerely like cleaning and getting the place all spic and span. Maybe toss in a Target run or a Costco jaunt and it'll be perfect. Or even Bed, Bath & Beyond, but I don't know if we'll have enough time.

  • A potential pedicure and manicure.

  • Dress shopping. Birthday dress shopping to be exact. Yes I did already order one online but I want to have a backup in case I don't love it. I am a weirdo.

  • Spending some down time with Matt. No agenda nights are the best.

And what are you looking forward to this weekend?

happy friday!

A Life List you say?

To answer your question, yes. Yes I am still giddy about the fact that I met Craig David. I met the second guy off of my top five list and have officially met all of my favorite musicians. Life is good.

But meeting Craig David also reminded me of my Life List. You know that list that everyone has of things they want to do before they die? Yeah well I'm not going to lie, meeting Craig David was on there. And now I can check it off.

So what else is on my ever growing list? I'll show you.

1. Meet all of my top five list (Keanu Reeves, Joshua Jackson, Craig David, Christian Bale, and Ryan Gosling). I've got two for five so far!

2. Go to the Oscars. Just red carpet would be fine, but I would love to sit in and see the show too.

3. Visit Venezuela and see Angel Falls. Ever since I did a report on it in middle school I've always wanted to go.

4. Be an extra in a movie (or heck even the star!)

5. Wear bright colored shoes on my wedding day.

6. Go ice skating and enjoy it.

7. Own a house that's big enough for my whole family to have a meal in and enjoy the holidays together.

8. Have a signature food dish.

9. Actually get past beginner stage on Guitar Hero.

10. Live in another state (or country) for a couple months or year.

11. Work as a kindergarten teacher's assistant.

12. Take my friends out to dinner and pay for the bill without worrying about it.

13. Visit all fifty states. I only have 13 left!

14. Like red wine.

15. Have blond haired children....or any hair colored children is lovely.

16. Throw the first pitch at a Dodger's game. Or just go on the field.

17. Climb a rock wall without crying.

18. Make something out of all the movie tickets I've acquired over the years.

19. Learn sign language.

20. See Wicked on Broadway.

21. Make homemade pasta.

22. Refurbish a piece of furniture.

23. Get paid to watch movies.

24. Go on a road trip without a plan.

25. Eat pasta in Italy and chocolate in Switzerland and take a picture in a real phone booth in London.

26......

And then some. Obviously this list doesn't have a ton of stuff and it's still in the process of being added on to and I am open to any suggestions you have so share them. What's on your list?

happy thursday!

Craig David is my new BFF.

Oh Em Freaking Gee.

That pretty much sums up last night. As I write this I don't really have a voice, my feet are sore, I'm exhausted and it was all totally worth it. The Craig David concert in a word was: Awesome. Seriously I still can't get over it, haha.

Basically my sister and I got to the Mint at 6:20 and waited in the line outside, made some friends (seriously there were so many die hard Craig fans it made my heart happy) and hung out til we were finally let in at like 7:30:

check him out headlining Tuesday! Ah!

my sis and I waiting in line

Once we got in I couldn't believe how incredibly small the Mint was. I mean I could reach out my hand and practically touch the stage, that's how close we were! I had like two short people in front of me and that was it! It was amazing! Even more amazing was when Craig finally came to stage (opening with "Hot Stuff") and everyone went wild, myself included of course, haha.

heart him!

oooooh Hot Stuff

Is he not amazingly zexy. And just add a British accent and a ton of girls (and even some guys) screaming and you have the concert. The show was just Craig and his guitar/keyboard player and it was perfect. I love acoustic songs and all and wow just wow. Sorry I keep saying wow but I'm still in awe of the concert and I'm not even at the best part yet...

So yeah the concert was great...two more shots to prove it:

Craig and Kwame (sp?) getting down

yeah it was pretty hot in there, haha

Basically Craig played every song I love and ended with my favorite of faves "Fill Me In" and he came out for a brief encore and I couldn't believe the show was already over. After it was over I convinced my sister to linger around and hang out to see if we could meet him. Ultimately I met Craig's security guard and chatted up with him a bit and told him how I was such a huge Craig fan and I decided to get a picture with in case I couldn't meet Craig:

And then I got a pic with the guitar player who was hanging out with everyone and totally friendly and funny:

And I had almost given up hope on meeting Craig until I saw people finally get to go back stage. So my sister and I lined up and slowly but surely made our way to the front where several people were trying to push past us the security guard pointed out how he had to make sure that my sister and I got back there to meet him (umm I almost melted). And before I knew it Craig's manager er I don't know who she was, lead us to the a back room to meet Craig!!!!

I think I may have been shaking on the way back there but the woman took my camera and asked our names and introduced us to Craig. I stayed surprisingly calm (as my sister pointed out, haha) and I told Craig all about how I was supposed to meet him in 2002 and how things got messed up and I never got to. And he was so nice and totally apologized and gave me a hug (actually three) and I told him about the past shows I'd been to and how this was one of my favorites because it was so intimate. And aaaaaaaaaaah the heaven's parted and I got not one, but TWO pictures with him!!!

me and Craig, new bffs :)

and Kourt joined the pic too!

After the pictures I told Craig to please come back to LA sooner than 7 years from now and he made the joke "how about 7 days from now?", haha. Oh how I wish! After we left I couldn't believe I could even walk since I was so ecstatic and exhausted, but we made it and I still can't believe it...

I MET CRAIG DAVID!!!!

I know it doesn't mean much to a lot of people, but to me last night was nine years in the making and I'm so incredibly happy it finally happened!

Anyhoo yay Craig! And I highly recommend you check out his music, it's fantastic.

happy wednesday!
