Hollywoodtinis all around.

Well since I did such a late Hollywood post last Thursday not a whole lot has happened in Hollywood since then, but I'll make it work. So Hollywood news here we go:
  • Today's first cute little bebe we have Sasha Schreiber. Seriously this picture just melted my heart, such a cute Mommy and Me shot:

    precious!

  • And bebe numero dos is little Levi McConaughey. Seriously he is so doe-eyed it's adorable.

    awww so cute.

  • Moving on from the bebe cuteness to the Ryan Gosling hotness. Seriously the man makes the most random clothes look good. Oh and I just had to post a Ryan picture because The Notebook was on this weekend and I got butterflies all over again even though I've seen it way too many times, but really swoon.

    why hello there.

  • Apparently last night was the Costume Institute Gala and man there were some fabulous and adorable couples and I just have to share a few:

    Josh and Diane, seriously adorable

    Ashley and Justin,
    I'm getting used to this
    only
because I heart Justin so much

Leslie Mann rocked it and Judd Apatow is just a cute geek

  • Oh and guys I did not forget about you, miss Megan Fox graces the cover of this month's Esquire magazine and I admit, girl looks good. And yeah she's more covered up than usual, but I think she makes it look good:

  • Oh so I watched Twilight yesterday while I was home doing work and man I love that movie. It may not be the best movie ever but it's just so nice to watch and Edward Cullen is just so swoon worthy and I just hope that New Moon is even better.

Oh oh and Twilight got the most MTV Movie Award nominations (which are probably the only awards Twilight could win, haha), so go vote!

  • And in TV news...
How I Met Your Mother. Finally the yellow umbrella is back, we're getting somewhere. But ah! Stella!? Stella?! Really? Oh I love this show. And seriously Barney, you are awesome, haha. (except umm didn't Barney not have a list, wasn't it a scrap book? Yeah I know too much about this show, haha).

Grey's Anatomy. Aw Izzie why won't you tell your mom what's wrong? Ah I was so sad. And Lexie you are so cute, I'm finally starting to like you again. And um Derek you look mighty handsome in a tux, I can't wait to see the wedding episode this week, ah! A wedding! Yay!

Medium. Oh man last week's episode was so creepy, so good but so creepy. I loved the ending too with all the ladies rallying together to save Allison's dreams, soooo good.

Brothers and Sisters. Kitty stop being lame. Ryan just leave already. Scottie I heart you. Nora you are the cutest most overprotective and concerned mama around. And Sarah I think you rock. Seriously this show is so good and I am so attached to the family it's sort of crazy, I can't believe the season finale is already this weekend. And Tommy's back! Ah! I can't wait!

  • And for today's WTF story I hope you haven't eaten at a fast food place lately because this one is kind of gross (and by kind of I mean really)... a girl in Switzerland allegedly found a condom in her Happy Meal. Ummmm how do you explain that one to your kid? Er how do you continue eating without hurling? Ah!

  • And how did I almost forget....
    Happy Birthday Craig David!!!!

Feel free to come back to LA okay? :)
And that my friends is the short(ish) and sweet Hollywood update...anything I missed, let me know.

happy tuesday!

A birthday, some go karts and sweet helmets.

Another weekend of birthdayness come and gone already, seriously weekends go by way too fast, especially when birthdays are involved. But who's birthday you ask? Why Matt's of course!!

Friday: I worked from home so I could help the injured fiancee (he pinched a nerve in his back, oy) a bit. So I did a ton of work and helped Matt out and it was quite nice. Later in the day we went and got my ring sized, so it's finally on the right finger and I love it! Afterwards we went over to Matt's dad's house for dinner which was fun then over to his mom's house to spend the night so Matt could sleep in a bit before his chriropractor appointment in the morning. It was a nice night in of relaxing and watching Bedtime Stories (I sort of love the cutenes of that movie).

Saturday: Woke up early and I was on my way to running errands. Seriously I went to more stores than I can count and spent way more money than I planned on, but it was totally worth it. Eventually it was time for Matt's surprise birthday party (his actual birthday is Wednesday, but nothing like a party before the big day) at K1 Go Karts. Turns out though that a couple people had accidentally spoiled the surprise and Matt knew what was happening so I was kind of mad at him for trying to rush me to the place, seriously such a nerd. But once we got there and a bunch of our friends were there it was nothing but a great time (even if I was sort of a wuss and scared a wee bit).
All the guys (minus JR) pre race

JR and some of the ladies

getting briefed on the go karts

Matt and I rockin the oh so fashionable fire masks, haha

my sister and I love those helmets

Megan's a pro driver already

Matt before his last race

Seriously, it was so much fun. We raced in two heats and got print outs of our lap times and everything and all around a great time. Even more fun they awarded medals at the end of it all, and it was hilarious.

the winners of the "losers" bracket, haha

and the winners of the winners,

oh yes Matt kicked everyone's butt

the whole racing group, woo

Seriously it was a great time (even though I came in dead last, haha). Afterwards a couple of people came back to our place to hang out, drink, eat, play the Wii, watch Kat Williams Live, all that good stuff. On top of it, I was in cahoots with my mom and she came over and decorated a bit for Matt's birthday this time.

Matt and his birthday sign

my sister's birthday present to Matt

Basically it was a great night of racing and awesomeness. Woo.

Sunday: Man waking up was hard. But Matt and I made it to my parent's house and we all trekked over to the Castaway for a birthday/engagement breakfast with Matt's dad, my aunt and uncle and my godmother that surprised me by coming up from San Diego. There was so much food it was insane, but man it was delicious.

the breakfast party

the gorgeous view

After breakfast we hung out for a bit with the family, then over to Michaela's parent's house to hang out with Matt's brother and her fam for a bit. Eventually I came home and napped and by napped I mean I passed out for like four hours, haha. Such a relaxing afternoon/night I definitely wish it had lasted longer.

And that was the weekend. Yay to birthdays!

oh and yay to interviews also, my interview with Lisa for being the Featured 20 Something Blogger is up, check it out. Woo.

How was your weekend? Did it speeed on by too?

Blurry blogging.

So I'm not going to lie, my brain has been fuzzy and I've been walking on clouds all week. I mean I know you can't really blame me but I have no idea how I blogged all week, did work and was even semi productive. It's all sort of a blur of happiness.

And because of this, today's post is short(ish) and sweet.
  • When my parent's told my youngest brother (who's 11) that Matt was proposing to me, he asked them "Did he go to Jared's?" (please tell me you've seen those commercials and get the hilarity and preciousness to the statement).

  • My other brother (who's 13) called me on Monday to tell me he thought of a great wedding location. On a cliff at a beach at sunset. That was all he called to tell me. (I may or may not have teared up at the cuteness of my "too cool for school" teenage brother).

  • Matt has already started brainstorming and writing stuff down for the wedding. And he's so into it all that I know he'll definitely help with the planning and what not and gah I love that man. I'm marrying a winner for sure.

  • As much as I am tempted, my blog most likely won't be weddingcentric once we start the planning part. I'm not saying I won't post anything wedding, but don't expect every detail, gotta have some surprises here :)

  • And totally opposite of weddings, the three day rule. Amazing. Seriously, amazing. Alexa reminded me of Monday's gem on How I Met Your Mother and I just have to share it.

And that's all I got today folks. Anything you want to share?

Hope you have a most fabulous weekend!

happy friday!

Hollywood is running late.

So it's Thursday and I haven't had a Hollywood post yet so ummm let's get to it shall we?
  • And starting off with the cute bebes we have a newbie in the mix. Little Usher the fifth aka Cinco, haha best nickname ever. But really little Usher is sort of adorable, and it doesn't help that his dad is big Usher, haha.

    how precious

  • And for the second bebe of the week we have little Harlow Madden because ohmygosh she is so freakin adorable. Seriously her little smile is just the cutest thing, I love it.

    ahhhhh so cute!

  • Movin on from the bebes....in sad news, another Golden Girl has passed away. Bea Arthur passed away over the weekend. Although she probably wasn't everyone's favorite on the show you still can't help but be sad. We'll miss you Bea!

  • And in happier news, Twilight news to be exact...not a whole lot actually. Oh, the Twilight cheeseburger video has been making the rounds. So check it out. Enjoy. Oh oh again, Taylor Lautner has been seen canoodling with Selena Gomez and this pic is just adorable to me, oh teenage love affairs:

  • Also in favorites news. Craig David was on several websites today. Without a shirt on. Fixing stuff. People know who he is and not just me!

  • Another hottie that has emerged to promote Wolverine...oh no not Hugh, I do love Hugh don't get me wrong, but helloooooo Ryan Reynolds, nice to see you again!

    yumm.

  • Oh hey guys I didn't forget you because umm Halle Berry was at the LA premiere of Wolverine and I gotta say, she's smokin. I may have a girl crush.

  • And in TV news....
How I Met Your Mother. Best show ever oooooooor Best show on right now ooooooor Best of the Best of the Best? Haha. Seriously this show cracks me up.

Top Model. Buh bye Natalie. I sort of liked you, but eh. Peace out. For last week's recap I will again divert your attention to the most hilarious of recaps here. Oh and this Tyra spoof video is also a must watch, seriously hilarious. As for last night's ep....Teyona and Aminat are dumb, seriously they bother me (and I have this sick feeling one of them is going to win, ugh) and I knew Fo was leaving, I'm so sad I liked her.

Grey's Anatomy. Yay for a new episode! It was so cute and so sad and so happy. And I thought it was pretty funny that so much of it was wedding because of course I notice that now, haha. And speaking of the Derek and Meredith wedding, they have their own Knot page, haha.

John and Kate Plus 8. Yeah I know the show isn't on right now, but ummm John is being sketchy. Seriously John, stop it.

The Hills. Why do I watch this? I don't know. I know that once Lauren leaves I will be watching it no more. But I will say that Heidi and Spencer have ruined the best day of the year...my birthday...those toolbags were married on my birthday and in my hometown! WTF Speidi?! Why would you ruin such an amazing day?! You even made my favorite color your wedding color and it didn't look good! Ah! How could you!?

However I can forgive you simply because you took this picture:

    oh too ridiculous.
(thank you julie for this gem)

  • And for today's WTF news we have a girl that beat off two "thugs" with her marching band baton. Seriously it's not really WTF, more like bad ass. But really that is sort of awesome, you know those guys were not expecting the girl to beat the crap out of them, gotta love it.

And that my friends is the Hollywood news of the week (well as much as I could find in a short time, haha), anything I left out?

happy thursday!

The Joshua Jackson story.

So I told you I'd tell this story eventually right? Hollywood news just has to wait another day because before my life got uber exciting and engagedlike I ummmm met Joshua Jackson!!!

So how did this all happen? Let me share.

My mom's friend got me tickets (that my parents paid for, Happy Birthday to me!) to the Paley Fest presentation of Fringe. Basically every night for two weeks a different TV show is highlighted and different cast members and staff of the show come and speak on a panel and last Thursday night just happened to be for Fringe.

So Matt and I sat with my mom's friend and the show started. A special clip was picked to start off the night and I almost died of laughter. It was from the "Breakfast Club" episode of Dawson's Creek when Pacey mentions Mighty Ducks. Seriously, priceless.

After the clip was shown, a full episode of Fringe was aired. Once the episode was over people clapped and I looked over to the doorway near me and there was Joshua Jackson. I almost died of happiness right there! But then Josh ran back in to be appropriately introduced, haha. The moderator of the night was a writer for Entertainment Weekly and he introduced JJ Abrams first and then a writer and a producer or something and then Ana Torv (the leading lady of the show) and before I knew it out came Joshua Jackson again! Ah! Heart! Yay! And last but not least, John Noble (who plays Josh's dad on the show) came out.

The whole panel was great. Joshua Jackson is hilarious and witty and ah, I am an even bigger fan now it's that's possible. JJ Abrams is so young looking. John Noble is pretty ridiculous too. And Ana Torv seems so fragile and cute and I heart her too.

Once the panel was over everyone rushed the stage to get autographs. I tried to get up there but it just wasn't happenin, so I took pictures instead. And I tried to get through to shake Josh's hand but that wasn't happening either. And he wasn't taking pictures with people so I was sort of bummed, but I totally understood, way too many people.

helloooooo Pacey Whitter!

he was signing away, what a nice guy

Ana found something pretty funny

aw I love his smile! le swoon

However, luck was on my side! I found a spot right by the exit and as Josh was leaving I yelled out "Josh!" and he looked over at me and I said "I just want to shake your hand I'm a really big fan" and he shook my hand and said "Thanks for coming out, it's great to meet you" and he smiled and I was giddy and swooning and Matt was laughing at me from afar and then Josh was out the door.

But OHMYGOSH I MET JOSHUA JACKSON!

That statement alone is aweosme. I shook his hand. I said hello. He talked to me. He smiled at me. Seriously amazing. Meeting two of my top five in two weeks, yeah I'd say that's sort of awesome. And heck I've met three of my top five in the past six months, man I love those celebrity gods.

I wonder who I'll get to meet next..... Keanu? You out there? :)

happy wednesday!

And the birthdayness continues...

First of all, thank you all so much on your sweet comments and tweets again of congrats. It really was a weekend to never forget and I'm so glad I could share it with everyone, woo. I mean my best friend flew in from North Carolina, then I got engaged. I mean what could else could I ask for?

But alas I present The best birthday in the history of all of my birthdays Part II.

Saturday: On my actual birthday me, Matt and Jen made the rounds to my parent's house then had brunch with Matt's dad and ended up at his mom's house afterwards to celebrate a bit. After celebrating with the parents, Matt stayed at his mom's house to watch the draft and Jen and I went off to shop a bit and get ourselves some fancy schmancy manicures.

After our girly day of hanging out we went back to the apartment and hung out with Matt for a bit before getting ready for the night. My sister came and picked us up and dropped us off at dinner (which was so nice of her to be DD all night) while she did her own thing (heck she even paid for dinner, such a good sister). Dinner was fun at Tokyo Wako, their food is so tasty and I was still giddy from having my two favorite people there and being engaged, my gosh I'm engaged!

Once we finished dinner, we killed time a bit before heading over to the wine bar. After that, everyone started showing up and it was a great celebrating my birthday and our engagement with all of my friends. I was seriously in birthday heaven.

some of my favorite girls celebrating my birthday!

ohmygosh guys, we're engaged! haha

Aww me and Jen!

everyone toasting to it all

Kimmy and me having a good time

all the sisters

I've known this girl since 1st grade, love Leticia, love her

the engaged couples, ah, love it

All in all it was a great night, tons of food and drinks and lots of friends. I had a great time celebrating with everyone that came. After the bar a bunch of us eventually made our way back to our apartment and when I walked into our apartment this is what I saw this time...

My sister, while we were at dinner, filled our apartment with 25 balloons and left a present for me on the table. It was so surreal and adorable and cute and fun and I loved it.

We all hung out a bit and drank some more, played music and laughed and ohmygoshed and yeah, it was fabulous. Best birthday ever.

Sunday: Woke up and hung out a bit. Stopped at In-N-Out for breakfast/lunch before dropping Jen off at the airport. I was pretty sad to see her go but then again I am seeing her in a month so it's all good. Afterwards Matt and I made it home and I took a nap (I mean man this weekend was exhausting, but in the best way possible). Post-nap, Matt, my dad, my brother and I headed over to tell my grandma the good news of our engagement. It was fun to have such good news for her.

After visiting my grandma we went to my parent's house later to celebrate my birthday and our engagement with my family. It was so fun to retell the story and have some red velvet cupcakes and champagne, because honestly I still can't totally believe it.

toasting with the family, minus one sister

All in all it was the most amazing birthday I have ever had and I couldn't have asked for anything else. And I'm so glad my family and friends were there to share it all with me!

happy tuesday!

Big Birthday, even bigger news!

aka The best birthday in the history of all of my birthdays Part I.

First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you everyone for the fabulous birthday wishes and tweets and Facebook posts and everything, it was so incredibly sweet and you are all rock stars.

Secondly, remember when I said that Matt told me he got the "best present in the history of presents"? Yeah well his present definitely lived up to his claim. It was the best present I could ever possibly ask for.

Backing up a bit, Friday at work was awesome. Got to go to lunch with some coworkers and after lunch we were supposed to have a meeting but instead we went and had cupcakes and it was great. Even better my boss let me leave a bit early so I could make it home in time for the plans Matt had made.

So I get home, get all dolled up for dinner and we hit the road. Before I know it we're by LAX but I wasn't really paying attention too much. Matt "missed" his exit and we ended up having to go to LAX which I still didn't really think about as anything and before I knew it we had pulled up to a gate and there was my best friend Jen!!! Matt had flown her in for my birthday. I most definitely screamed and jumped out of the car and cried a bit from happiness and ah! It was such an awesome surprise.

After we got Jen we headed back up to Pasadena and Matt said we were going to stop at our apartment so Jen could drop her stuff off and what not. So we walk in to the apartment and this is what I saw...

I squealed yet again!! My parents had come over and decorated with birthday signs and balloons and dropped off the dinner Matt had ordered and even left a pitcher of margaritas! Seriously it was so cute. I was so excited to have dinner in with two of my favorite people and talk and drink and just have a good time.

After dinner was done Matt said he had one more gift for me but it was outside so I had to walk out with him. Then he stopped me on our porch and told me to close my eyes while he went to go get it. I was such a nerd and said I didn't want to keep my eyes closed because I was afraid of the bugs. But before I knew it Matt told me to open my eyes and when I did he was on one knee in front of me with the most perfect ring ever. He didn't even have time to propose before I started crying and saying "ohmygod are you serious?! are you serious?!" I was such a teary, goofy mess and eventually Matt got up and asked me to marry him. And I yelled out "of course!!"

And Jen, being the best friend that she is stayed inside ready with the camera for when we came back in. So she got these great shots of the newly engaged us! Ah! I still can't believe it!

ohmyfreakingoodnessihaveafiance!

kisses and more kisses!

of course I had to get a picture with Jen!
ah! so glad she was here to share it with me.

letting our family and friends know

toasting to our future marriage...ohmygosh marriage!
haha, I still can't get over it.
obviously. :)

and Jen took a picture of the ring,
I am very much in love with it

So folks that was my Friday and my goodness I couldn't be any happier.

Part II of the birthday coming tomorrow and then I promise the Joshua Jackson story, but you can't blame me for posting this first :)

happy monday!
