Merry Christmas (eve)!

While I wish I had the time and creativity to write a super meaningful post about how grateful I am for everything and love you all as my readers, I really just can't now. So expect that post to come later this week sometime. The holidays have been hectic and crazy and amazing so far and it's barely just begun. Dinner is almost ready and family will be together and we'll watch Christmas movies and just be together (hopefully without argument, haha).

So I'd just like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas full of craziness, bliss, happiness and any other ness word you can think of, haha.

And just because...my favorite celebs say Merry Christmas too! :)

hi keanu

shiloh! you're out! just in time for christmas!

jen and kerri take their cuties on a stroll, love it!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is all around....

Well I feel like it's been a while since I've talked about any celebs or Hollywood news, and you know what...it may just stay that way. There are just too many dang pregnant ladies and coked out singers that I just don't really have much to say that Perez or Trent or Michael aren't already saying. Except these two...aw....my favorite celebrity duo that can do no wrong in my eyes (and apparently Go Fug Yourself agrees)....

Awwwwww....

Okay I'm done.

So instead of writing about my usual Hollywoodness I thought I'd add another holiday themed blog in the mix since Christmas is only four days away (eee!) and I have all of next week off and don't know how much I'll actually be blogging in there. So I'm naming my top three Christmas movies (aka movies I usually watch to feel more Christmassie) Here goes....

#3 Mickey's Christmas Carol. Well one, how can you not love a Disney movie? And two, it's a Christmas Carol. That should say it all right there. I don't know, maybe it's the kid in me, but I love this movie.

#2 Home Alone. Because who honestly didn't do the screaming face after this movie?

And #1.....Love Actually.
I mean really. How does this movie not give you goosebumps? It makes me laugh and tear up and basically feel all warm and fuzzy inside, haha. I love the songs, the stories, the people, gah I love it all....actually (haha, bad joke).

And what are your favorite holiday movies?
Happy Holidays!

My life in numbers.

ten emails sent in less than four minutes (I rule).
nine post it notes on or around the vicinity of my computer.
eight times I've laughed out loud today.
seven sneezes is my daily average...including today.
six times I've listened to When My Heart Finds Christmas today (Harry Connick Jr....swoon).
five days until Christmas.
four campaigns that require my attention next week.
three gifts I still need to buy.
two cups of raspberry tea....yummmmmy.

all equal one overly busy, overly exhausted yet overly excited and happy Katelin.

happy "it's one day closer to friday" thursday!

I'm a lover with strong dislikes.

love: only 2.5 days of work left until vacation!
strongly dislike: I'll have to do work next week while on vacation (ce la vie).

love: listening to the Nutcracker Suite and pretending to be in it (I'm a dreamer, what can I say)
strongly dislike: the only place I like to see the Nutcracker performed has maybe five performances this year and I can't go to any of them.

love: cold weather that makes it seem like it really is December.
strongly dislike: the torrential downpour that's been happening lately and making driving quite the difficult task (as if it wasn't already).

love: all my TV shows are in reruns. Thus I can go out more, watch movies and all around have a life.
strongly dislike: all my shows are in reruns and people are losing jobs and money.

love: Christmas is next week!
strongly dislike: I still have a couple gifts to get and I don't want to battle the crazy crowds.

love: friends that send me uplifting emails and internet hugs :)
strongly dislike: they're too far away to give me real hugs.

love: watching movies in bed with Matt listening to the rain.
strongly dislike: we're both still sickies.

love: it's the holidays and I have lots to love and be thankful for.

Juno and Josh. Love it.

So I have a free second here (woot!) and I've got two things to talk about quickly. Numero Uno...Juno. This movie was great. My friend Courtney and I went and saw it last night (yes same girl I saw Lars and the Real Girl With, we love quirky awkward movies...what can I say?) Anyhoo. in brief the movie is about a girl, Juno (Ellen Page), who gets knocked up by her adorably awkward best friend/wanabe boyfriend Paulie (Michael Cera). She's only sixteen and immediately seeks a family to adopt the unborn baby, cue Jen Garner and Jason Bateman as the happy suburban couple desperately wanting a baby. That's about all the back story you really need for this one. Anything else I say would take away from the humor of the movie. Juno is so blunt and the comedy is so raw it's hilarious. Granted the whole movie isn't just about comedy, there are some serious parts and rather touching moments (Jen does an amazing job I think, as does Ellen Page). Basically I highly recommend it. It's funny, it's cute, it's sweet and it's just the kind of comedy you need to relax and watch during this oh so busy season. Anyhoo, check out the trailer and then go to your nearest Indie Flick carrying theater and watch it:

And secondly. Josh Kelley. He is great. First of all, he's marrying Katherine Heigl this weekend...how cute will that wedding be?! I just hope she picks some better bridesmaid dresses than in her newest movie 27 Dresses, haha. And he's going to sing at their wedding!? Precious.
Anyhoo, not the main reason I'm writing about him. I just got an email today to pre-order his new CD Special Company that's coming out in February. So who wants to buy it for me?? It's only ten bucks, haha. Well that and his Myspace is housing a couple more of his songs like "Hey Katie", "Unfair", and my pretty much favorite "Tidal Wave" . So go and check them out and enjoy the musical wonderousness!

Happy Tuesday!

Partytimeeeee.

Okay so apparently my life hates me and I have no time to properly blog or read blogs today (or maybe this whole week, eeee!) I have to get so much done before Friday it's a little insane. But I will do my best to blog and come visit everyone when I have a chance. In the meantime, enjoy pictures from my crazy ass work party....Loves it!

Happy Holidays from Katelin's job :)

Work Parties=Awesome.

Oh man. Those are pretty much the only words that can sum up yesterday. The secret santa was great...nothing as bad as last year really except for the ball gag and sex rope that someone got, haha. I ended up getting a Scooby Doo bank with a bobble head Scooby on it, I love it. And it's totally hanging out on my desk, haha.

And then there was the party....haha. I don't want to talk about it too much until I have some great pictures to share. But just know that the open bar was taken advantage of, Guitar Hero was played, dancing was done, Cambodian music played, more shots were taken, more dancing, and my god it was a great time.

And what's even better? That today I got in at 11:20 and I wasn't the last person here, haha. It's fantastic. I love seeing people roll on into work and hear random stories of parts of the evening that I missed...amazing. Way to make a Friday morning.

Especially since I realized that last week's episode of Grey's was its last for a while....meaning no McPacey!!! Alas, seeing these pictures did make me quite happy this morning...oh the little things....

Happy weekend!

I can't seem to have a normal post.

Well I am all over the place again today...what a week this has been! And although my job has been crazy, I still love it. Especially for the following reasons....

_Yesterday one of my bosses got a masseuse to come in and give everyone 15 minute massages. Let's just say...HEAVEN. It was amazing. And the knots in my back are magically gone.

_Today we get our Christmas bonus! Woot.

_This afternoon is our Secret Santa exchange. Last year someone got a blow up doll, another person got a dildo, I got Dodger tickets and our accountant got a giant calculator. I can't wait to see what people get this year!

_Tonight is our infamous Holiday party. Last year there was an open bar, lots of food, and crazy times. The food was tasty, but the drinks were better, haha. Sadly I'm still a little under the weather and can't take too much advantage of the drinks, but I'll still have grand ole time with my coworkers and my date...aka le boyfriend. Wee!

Basically I'm super excited and still have a ton of work to do, ah! I'll be back tomorrow with Holiday party stories and some TV roundup, woo! :)

I'm envisioning getting work done....soon

Links to the woot degree.

So I made it through Tuesday, now can I make it through Wednesday?? That's the real question, haha.

Basically I'm just uber busy and don't have time to bust out real posts, however I will share some of the best links I've found so far today...

_ Like I mentioned a while ago, I tend to make up words and use ridiculous words out of context. Well yet again the good folks at Merriam-Webster have inducted another one of my favorite useless phrases into the dictionary, everyone say hello to 2007's most popular word: Woot.

_Moviefone has made a list of the top 25 worst movie remakes, it's pretty accurate. And I'm happy to say none of my favorite movies made it on there, whew.

_Jessica Alba is pregnant! Okay you can add that to the headlines I wasn't expecting to see this year. She just doesn't come off as the mom ready type yet, well hell neither does Nicole Richie, but I guess it works. Congrats Jess!

_Apparently there is some new gold wonder pill that makes your poo turn gold. Now tell me, why in the world would anyone want gold poop? And for 425$?! Ya I think I'll pass on this newest trend.

_And lastly, a big ole Happy Birthday to the man, the myth, the legend....Mr. Bob Barker! Hope you're enjoying retirement Bob...actually you're probably playing Plinko as we speak. Enjoy it Bob, enjoy.

Happy Wednesday!

I am taking you down Tuesday.

Today is a busy busy day and I just wanted you to know that. Hence my reason for this lame post.

Just think of Tuesday as the bull here:

I'm going to ride it out and hopefully not fall flat on my face and make a fool of myself.

Saddle up!

happy tuesday!

The Hollywood Hotness.

I haven't done much Hollywood posting lately, so let me fill you in a bit:

_Last night in Hollywood was the premiere for the romantic comedy with guaranteed tears PS. I Love You. All the stars came out, including one of my faves, Harry Connick Jr.! Eeeee! And even more eeeee is that last night I could have gone to the premiere! Ah! My mom told me last night that she forgot to check her messages and that we could have gone to the premiere! Ah! Oh well. Next time. Anyhoo here are some of my fave pics:

_According to TMZ everyone's favorite dbag couple Heidi and Spencer have called off their wedding! Say it ain't so. Actually say it is so. They are so annoying, gah. Speaking of which, The Hills finale is tonight! Eeeeee. Who's excited?! This girl, right here. It will be 16 minutes of gloriousness followed by some "surprise announcement" what could it be??

_John Mayer was up in the hills of LA filming a new music video and the pics from it just look good. Can't wait for him to release a new CD, he just doesn't make bad music.

_Battle of the cuteness.
Katie out shopping with a Christmas clad Suri

vs.
Jen and a funny hatted yet still freaking adorable Violet

You already know my winner, but you can pick anyways.

_My coworker said that the Spice Girls were amazing. The ladies pretty much rocked it and their costumes were amazing and the set designs were to die for. All around a kick ass time. She was even in the fourth row and got to meet the Pussycat Dolls...yes color me jealous, haha. Heck I'm just glad the Spice Girls are still kickin ass.

And with that said, time to get back to work! Happy Monday!

It was windy and it was wonderous.

Well I'm back home after a lovely weekend in Morro Bay. It was definitely the weekend I needed after the craziness and curve balls that last week had. There was good friends, good food and lots of good ole fashioned fun, haha. We hung out, played games, watched movies, went to the park and flew a kite and played on the swings, went to the local bar and played shuffle board and songs on the juke box. It was great. I would go into more detail but I'm exhausted. I didn't take as many pictures as I hoped, but here they are anyways...

Matt and I all bundled up (it was feraking windy!)

the sun shining through the trees

the shark kite, aka the dive bomber

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Fridays=short posts too.

So I don't have much time to blog today since I'm in the middle of four different campaigns that all require my attention today. Just wanted to check in and say life is weird, life is busy and life is just all around crazy.

At least I have people all around me that I love and a fun weekend ahead in Morro Bay with Matt and our friends. Let's just hope the rain doesn't halt these plans. *fingers crossed*

Anyhoo, enough rambling. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! See ya Monday!

Oh and just so all this week's post have some sort of Christmas in them, here's a fave pic of Matt and I from le holidays last year, aren't we cute? Haha.

pps. My coworker is seeing the Spice Girls tonight and I am so jealous! I will have to give you her review on Monday, cause man I wish I was there.

ppss. I tried to resist. And I realized my celeb/Hollywood posts have been lacking recently. So here's Violet and Jen, in matching hats! ah! Cute! Haha :)

Santa is the man.

Well I was totally planning on scratching the Christmas themed post today to rant about how Heather got Cover Girl of the week again on Top Model even though she was kicked off last week (explain that to me please, gah!), however I have resorted to posting about much happier joyful things related to this lovely Holiday season.

So with that said I have decided to post about some of the best gifts from Santa. I know, kind of corny, but man I can't help it (so deal!). Let me share a back story...when I was little, my sister and I would have to go to bed early on Christmas Eve and we both could never sleep. We'd be up all night anxious and giggling listening for Santa and anticipating the morning. Eventually we'd fall asleep and the next morning we'd run to our parents room and be told to go back to bed because it was only six and there was a no present policy before seven, haha. So we'd sit in our room, twiddle our fingers and anxiously await going to the front room to see what Santa had brought us. Eventually seven would hit and we'd dart to the front room to see our gifts from Santa with our name tags put in front of the proper gifts and pretty much squeal with happiness. Somehow Santa always knew what we wanted....

[also note I was a super girly girl as a kid, I mean I loved dolls/Barbies...all of it, and I mean all of it]

And with that said....One Christmas I asked for Magic Nursery Dolls. Anyone remember those? Oh man. I think I had them all, the preemie baby, the toddler, the triplets and one particular Christmas I wanted the one that was a surprise baby. It was a fake stomach carrier thingy (sorry that's a bad description but I can't find a dang picture, so just imagine something cutesy and fun carrier for doll babies) that kicked and everything and when you opened a baby was inside. Anyhoo, back to the story...so one Christmas I get the fake carrier thingy with a surprise baby in it and I dash over in excitement to open it up and see what baby I got and "OH MY GOSH MOM THERE ARE TWINS!" So if you weren't a big doll person like I was, you may not understand the amazingness of twins. And not just twins, a boy and a girl twin. It was like a one in a bagillion chance of that happening. Needless to say I had a ginormous smile the whole dang day and made everyone see how cute my dolls were, haha.

Okay so after posting that I realize how lame that is. Haha. But really, as a child that was one of the happiest days ever. No one ever got twin dolls! Santa was pretty much the man in my book that year. He could do no wrong in my eyes. Heck I don't think Santa ever did wrong. One year I got a bike and man I was out the door on that thing before I even got dressed, it was awesome. And then one time I asked for the Camping Barbie on Christmas Eve and had never even mentioned it before and somehow, the next morning waiting for me by the tree was Camping Barbie, wow. So clearly, I was a Santa believer for a loooong time because heck, he rocked.

And even now, with two younger brothers on the verge of non-believing I still get so into the Santa spirit that I still can't sleep on Christmas Eve. I get the jitters in my stomach as I anticipate the next morning. I definitely don't get up at six anymore but that doesn't mean my brothers don't, haha.

So now that I've rambled off my embarrassing childhood obsession with twin dolls, any great Christmas (or Hanukkah) gift stories? And please tell me I'm not the only kid that was up at six on Christmas morning, haha.

Christmas music!

So it's taken a while and I don't really know how I got here, but all of a sudden I just can't stop posting about Christmas stuff (ah!). But of course, this is a good thing. So in light of Christmas and loveliness and funness I thought I'd use today to share some of my favorite Christmas songs, so here goes:

#1. Okay well I realize as I'm writing the first one, this list may me a combination of favorite CDs/songs whereas my overall favorite of all is Harry Connick Jr.'s When My Heart Finds Christmas CD. My favorite songs on the CD are "Sleigh Ride" and "Let it Snow" but overall the whole CD is amazing! How can you not love Harry and his crooner ways?! Ah! So if you haven't heard it, I wholeheartedly recommend you do so, now!

#2. Okay and the second "song" on my list is yet again a whole CD, bear with me people. For as long as I can remember I have loved the story of the Nutcracker. If you don't know what it is, ooooh you are so missing out. Granted I doubt you don't know the music because I know you've heard at least one song in a commercial 0r playing in any department store. So with that said, The Nutcracker Suite is the CD I play nonstop (after Harry's of course) during the holiday season while I clean and wrap presents and imagine I'm Clara waltzing across the stage...ah it's glorious.

#3. Although she has most recently regained the spotlight as the oh so conniving Wilhemina on Ugly Betty, Vanessa Williams has one hell of a Christmas CD. Her CD Star Bright is just so pretty you can't help but to glide when you walk (okay I exaggerate a bit, I just saw Enchanted and can't help thinking of waltzes, bear with me here). And her rendition of "Hark the Herald Angel Sing" is probably one of my favorites to sing to, it's just so happy!

#4. Well I couldn't well have a Christmas song list without the one of the most popular amazingly girly fantastic holiday songs there are ,Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas. Her CD may not be one of my favorites, but maaaan there is no way you can't sing your heart out to the song.

Well those are my top of the crop Christmas song picks, what are yours? Got any recommendations of Christmas CD's or songs that I just have to hear? Please share, I love hearing new songs! Woo!

only 20 days 'til Christmas! :)

My "wishlist"

Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas I would like the following...

Grey's Anatomy Season 3.

Unlimited air travel.

A month off of work to do said travel.

Enough money to move out and have DVR all in the same month.

Jen and Ben to randomly call me up next time they're in Los Angeles because they need a babysitter and heard that I'm awesome and their daughter would ultimately love me, if not she would love my amazing Barbie collection.

Keanu to shave. Please. Oh Please.

PINK underwear

These ladies all in one place

And a kiss under the mistletoe

Thanks. You know where to find me.

Love,
Katelin
