Katelin's Holiday Film Festival.

So way back in the day I posted about the movies I watch that always get me in the Halloween spirit. However, I realized that I have never shared my list of movies that always help get me in the Christmas spirit. And everyone needs some Christmas spirit every now and then, so here we go.
Love Actually

So it doesn't really have to be Christmas for me to want to watch this movie because it's one of my all time favorites but I love watching it around Christmastime nonetheless. All the stories make me laugh, make me cry, make me happy and ah I just love it.

Home Alone

I can't even count how many times I've watched this movie since I was a kid, it always makes me laugh. And really Macualay Culkin was one seriously cute kid. And the end when everyoen comes home for Christmas always makes me a wee bit teary

The Holiday

A more recent addition to my Christmastime movie viewing but I LOVE this movie. The plot is quite predictable but the humor and the characters (hello I love Kate Winslet) are great and the story is just so cute! And I love Jude Law's daughters in the movie and just ah, this movie is just cute.
It's a Wonderful Life

It's true, I have a crush on Jimmy Stewart. I also have a crush on black and white films and this one is one of my favorites. Although I only first saw it a couple years ago I love it and it has turned into a Christmas Eve viewing tradition and it makes me so happy. The story has such good message and it's just such a Christmas classic.

Miracle on 34th Street

Another Christmas classic. This movie is just so cute and makes me want to believe in Santa Clause forever and ever.

So those are my Christmas movies, the ones I watch every year. Do you have certain movies you watch every Christmas? Let me know!

happy wednesday!

huh. I have never heard of the Holiday...

I think I am one of the few remaining Jack Black fans in the world.

And Cameron Diaz? Yum.

I have never seen Love Actually, I am going to have to rent it this week. You're like the 5th person I've heard mention it this week. :)

I was just saying I need a movie pack with Love Actually and The Holiday. Just add cocoa for a perfect evening.

You've named some of my favorite Christmas movies! I adore all those, and I've recently added some older movies to the list, like Holiday Inn and White Christmas.

And Christmas Vacation is always a classic in our home.

I love THE HOLIDAY! One of the movies I own on DVD!

I don't care much for Cameron Diaz, but Kate Winslet (!), Jude Law and Jack Black are awesome! :)

Okay, we seriously need to be BFFs, because Love, Actually is my all time favorite. Not just at Christmas either. One of the very few movies I've gone out and bought the very day it comes out on DVD. And The Holiday is amazing.

For us, White Christmas and Die Hard are the ones we have to watch for Christmas to really be here. We have a sleepover at my parent's house on Christmas Eve and watch those two and play Apples to Apples. I love the holidays!

All of the above. The Holiday is one of my favorite movies anytime and one of the ones I re-watch the most often.

Also, I love Elf! And Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. I don't know if they're technically Christmas movies, but I really like to watch them over the holidays! :)

It's a Wonderful Life! Love that movie - except for the little girl's voice, something about it just makes me irrationally annoyed.
My other faves: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Mr. Bean Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph, Muppet's Family Christmas, and a little-known one called Claymation Christmas.
