A real BlogHer recap...Part I at least.

Okay well I'm sure you've already read some of the recaps but I just have to have a real one don't I?

Thursday I made it into NYC and to my hotel with barely enough time to relax before I was on my way to the Social Luxe lounge a couple of blocks away (oh and did I mention I walked four blocks in the wrong direction at first, I am so NOT a city girl it's ridiculous). The party was a total hit and so much fun. I was there partially for work (Ghiradelli was our client) and partially to have fun and mingle with friends and have a great time, which I totally did.

After the party I made my way to Bryant Park Grill for a Nikon party where I was reunited with Doni and Jess and got to meet Jeanna. I also won a photo shoot with some schnazzy pants photographer so I'll be sure to share those pictures when I get them because I definitely practiced what Tyra taught me. After eating more appetizers than I can count and several margaritas I was ready to call it a night (I mean I did just get in that day and had three more days ahead of me!), so to bed I went!

Friday was the first full day of the conference and it was pretty crazy as usual. So many people I knew and so many I had no idea who they were and there were sessions an exhibition hall and it was just nuts.

Friday night was quite the awesome night though. It started out by hitting up the official Kirtsy sponsored BlogHer gala where blog posts were interpreted through art forms and all sorts of other lovely things occurred.

the awesome Karen from Chookooloonks
painted this on me after asking what I was proud of
and I said "being mixed." I sort of love this new nickname.

one of my favorite pieces.

After the gala I made my way to Brand About Town's Nintendo sponsored dinner. Needless to say it was awesome. We rode Mario driven rickshaw's through Central Park and had dinner at the Boat House and it was awesome and I love blogger friends and Nintendo and just awesomeness all around.

sort of love this one of Central Park with the
Mario flag in the corner, haha.

after our rickshaw ride, Caroline, Jamie,
me and Jess ready for dinner!

me and my roomie for the weekend, Lacey.

It was just fun to hang out and be silly with my friends and I got to see the oh-so-adorably pregnant Katie and meet her husband John and just sort of heart her even more and I drank lots of wine and ate delicious food and basically I heart Brand About Town a little more every day.

Pretty much it was an excellent start to the weekend. And Saturday and Sunday were even more awesome that I can't fit it all into one post, so just wait until tomorrow for some tutus, and Dexter assault and fangirl ridiculous moments and silly dancing and all around fantastical.

So come back tomorrow for the rest of my crazy New York weekend, woo!

happy wednesday!
