Things you should know.

...last Tuesday I paid $3.86 for gas. The same station this morning....$4.06!!! Ah. WTF?! So I didn't fill up in hopes that the gas station near work would be closer....$4.11! Ah! What is going on the world?! I really should have checked Gas Buddy before I left, oy.

...I have created my most perfect work out mix. Remember a while back when I was desperate for music that would get my butt moving. Well I have found it. 35 minutes of awesome for my trek on the elliptical. Will I share? Why of course:

Awesome right? Well maybe just for me, but hey it works for now so I'm not complaining.

...listening to O.A.R. and Sublime automatically makes it feel like Summertime. Don't ask me why, it just does.

...always check your closets. There could be a homeless woman living there. No seriously, not even kidding.

...I'm sort of a fair weather Lakers fan. There, I said it. I don't really care about basketball nearly as much as some of my friends (and boyfriend even) but don't get me wrong, I will sure as hell cheer for them. So of course I'm excited that we won the Western Conference, booyah. Bring on the championship!

...the kids in Knocked Up are the daughters of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann and seriously they were cute before, they're just super cute now. Heart them.

...Rihanna has a new song out, "Disturbia", and I sort of like. And may have played it six times already today. Just maybe.

...it's Friday. And it's payday. And it's supposed to be 78 degrees today and tomorrow. And not raining. Yes. Basically it means that LA is where it's at, haha.

anything I should know today?

hope you all have a most fabulous weekend!

happy friday!

Around the Hollywoodsphere.

So after perusing the internet a bit, I've come across some stellar Hollywood news that I just have to share (and clearly I'm all about the Hollywood gossip/news/random info), so here we go:
  • Today is my British alter-ego's 33rd birthday! Woo! Happy Birthday Mel B!

  • Ashlee "I look like Pete" Simpson-Wentz and Pete "I look like Ashlee" Wentz confirmed the widely rumored pregnancy. Seriously people, seriously? Ah. I don't really even know what to say. Well I do have one word of advice, eye liner and hair straighteners are not for babies, just so you guys know.

  • And speaking of WTF and Seriouslyness?! My most favorite people (insert total sarcasm) Heidi and Spencer have announced (well mainly she did, but probably because he made her), have announced that they're ready to get married again....gaaaaaaaah. Someone just take them away? Please? Pretty please.

  • And if for some reason you seemed to miss word that one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood is back on the market....mmmmmyesMr. George Clooney is a single man again. Let's just admire his suaveness, okay?

    mmmmmmm :)

  • Okay and speaking of other hot guys, Christian Bale (well actually Batman) is the newest spokesperson for the Got Milk? ads. Is it sad that seeing this ad just furthers my excitement for The Dark Knight, haha? Yeah I seriously cannot wait.

  • Speaking of movies, it was announced today that Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as Axel Foley for a Beverly Hills Cop 4 (slated to come out in 2010). Um. Seriously? Is everyone running out of ideas that they have to keep adding on to old franchises? Speaking of which, did you know a Jurassic Park 4 is in the works as well? Crazy pants I say, crazy.

  • Ty Ty has done it again. Well technically New York Magazine has done it by comparing the all and mighty Ty Ty to the likes of Oprah and Martha Stewart?! Um I love Tyra and all, but I don't think she's reached that point juuuuust yet.

  • Here's Keanu on the set of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. I really have no story to go with this, just that it's Keanu and I heart him :)

Well that's all the Hollywoodness I care to cover today, hope you all have one fabulous day that's oh so close to Friday :)

happy thursday!

Question of the day:

What would you dooooooooo for a Klondike bar?

No really, what would you do?

When I was like nine or ten my summer school teacher asked everyone that question and we had a week to come up with something to show the class. Me, I decided to put on a puppet show. It. Was. Awesome. I performed Goldie Locks and the three monsters, clever I know (that and I only had monster puppets). My mom help me make the shoebox backdrop with changing scenery and everything, it was pretty great I must admit. That and I think I went a little overboard, but what can I say? I really wanted a Klondike bar :)

So, what would you do?

happy wednesday!

I got tired just writing this.

So are you ready? Ready to jump out of your seat??!

Okay really I don't know what I'm talking about, just be prepared to be tired once I recap what a ridiculous weekend I just had. On your mark....get set....go!

Friday: Got off of work early (awesome) and headed over to Matt's house and basically napped/lounged/watched a movie until it was time to head to the Dodger game. Oh Dodgers, my Dodgers. We got to the game a bit early because my mom won this raffley thing and got to go on field beforehand and get up the megatron, that was pretty cool (and I was slightly jealous):

The game itself was okay, nothing too exhilarating (we ended up losing 2-1, sad). Got to hang with the fam and Matt and that's always entertaining. And I think my brothers enjoyed the beach balls more than the game, haha.

The only ridiculous part came at the bottom of the 9th inning when the weather decided that a torrential downpour was necessary. Yeah we were all drenched. And even better, Matt and I couldn't find my car, oh yes that's always fun, haha. Well eventually we made it home and dried off and I'm pretty sure just curled up to watch a movie and get some much needed sleep, whew.

Saturday: Woke up earlyish and headed over to the park for a goodbye party for my friend Charisma who's heading back to Boston. It was definitely a fun time playing with the little kids and talking with Charisma and the other adults in the park (the weather even held out for the most part).

After the party in the park we all hung at my house for a bit and played some Scene It (man I love that game) and stayed warm since the wind and gloomy weather was picking up outside. And before I knew it, it was time for Matt and I to head to my cousin's birthday party. So off we went to Monterey Park (man that place is so hidden) for a fun filled party. Seriously, my cousin and her boyfriend know how to throw a party, I wish I got a picture to show it, but they had so much alcohol, like 160 jell-o shots and so much BBQ, it was amazing. And because I was still on a high from last weekend's "non-hangover" I drank like a champ (which came to kick me in the ass that night, haha). But all in all it was a great party and we'll be celebrating again next weekend so that should be just as kick ass, woo.

After her party Matt and I headed to a shindig at Red, White and Bluezz. Even though we didn't stay long, it was still fun and I enjoyed a fabulous pineapple juice and rum (seriously, delcious). So after that we just headed back to Matt's house since he had to be up early for golf, woo. Annnnd then it was time to sleep, seriously I don't think I did enough of that this weekend.

Sunday: Sunday oh Sunday. Woke up earlyish and went home for a bit. I played some Sims 2 (yes I am seriously obsessed) and did some bill paying (woo, aren't you jealous?) and just enjoyed some chill time at home. It was so nice, seriously loved it. Eventually I headed back over to Matt's house to watch the Laker game with his brothers and dad. Man. Lakers. Seriously!? Well it wasn't all the Lakers fault for the loss, those refs were sort of ridiculous. There were so many fouls in that game, I could have been a better ref (okay that's a lie, but you get my point, haha). So anyhoo watched the game and hung out a bit, then before I knew it it was time to get ready. Get ready for what you ask?? For a girl's night out at Blvd. 3 for a Sex and the City party! Woo!
We almost didn't get in because the line was ridiculous and it was sort of a joke. So we ended up going all out and getting bottle service, ah! Crazy pants I know, but it ended up being totally worth it. Let me show you:
The Brooklyn Bridge in the middle of the club

Me, Maya, Kat, and Megan all cute like :)

We're ready for our close up

I just wanted to emphasize that we got a second bottle (for free!)
even if it was half full, it was still awesome

I wore heels, seriously I did! And that had to be documented.

So apparently this party was sponsored by the Pleasure Chest
and we all got free "toys", Kat and Maya are really excited for theirs, haha

This is what I do when someone says pose, haha

All in all it was a great night. We danced and drank all night long and it was so much fun. Then I got home to Matt's house and stayed up til about four playing basketball with him and his brother, haha, yes we are awesome. Basically it was one kick ass night.

Monday: So after going to bed so late you'd think we'd sleep in a bit, but no, we didn't, haha. Matt and I were up by like 9 and made some breakfast and hung out and then eventually fell back asleep, haha. The only thing on our agenda yesterday was seeing Indiana Jones with his family. So we got there a little before the movie started and it was so packed we had to sit in the second row (yeah we got up close and personal, haha). So we saw the movie. Um. Yeah. I don't really know where to start to give it any sort of review. I heard all these good things about it, but I was pretty let down. It started off pretty good and then it got beyond ridiculous. I won't give anything away but there were just so many things that left me saying "WTF?!" If you ask Matt about the movie he'll basically say that he wants his money and his two hours back, I on the other hand was not that disappointed, but I'm pretty close. Just know that if you go see it you're in for a typical Indy movie but with more than enough corniness and WTFness to last you for three more movies.

So that was my weekend. I think I hit every possible aspect of craziness and business that now I need another weekend. Luckily the next weekend is only three days away, haha.

And how was your weekend? Hope it was fabulous!

happy tuesday!

Gibberish upon gibberish.

So the fact that I just got home and it's about 2:30 has really hindered my blog posting abilities today. And the fact that I haven't uploaded any of this weekend's glorious photos is really not helping either. And I'm tired with a dash of a headache and in no mood to really do anything (damn you gray weather!). Man I sound whiny, I promise I'm not.

Okay this is a lame post. But whatever, I don't care.

Woo no work on Mondays :)
That's something to celebrate right?

Okay I'll be back tomorrow with a super exciting jump out of your seat post, just you wait, woo!

Hope you are all having a fabulous (and not crappy weather like here in supposedly sunny So Cal) and most amazing Memorial Day!

happy monday!

I heart half days.

So today I'm taking another page out of the fabulous Janet's book to bring you my loves and dislikes of today:

Love: Tonight I'm going to the Dodger game, woo!
Seriously dislike: It's a freaking torrential downpour outside so the game may get rained out or we may get soaked, eck.

Love: Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, seriously they are so cute.

Dislike: That I have yet to meet them, I mean really is it too much to ask???

Love: Grey's Anatomy. And the fact that I actually like Meredith again, even though Cristina will always be my favorite. That and that Derek finally had some freaking morals, finally.
Dislike: How predictable the finale was last night. I pretty much who was going to live, who was going to make out and all in all what was going to happen (but don't get me wrong I still liked it, haha).

Love: Going to the gym in the morning. I've gone about five times now and I really like it, so hopefully I can stick to it.
Dislike: I only can work out so much since I have to get home, get ready for work, etc. So I still need to go to the gym on some afternoons.

Love: My Ipod for knowing exactly what songs to play this morning at the gym.
Dislike: I almost left it at home which made me leave later than usual.

Love: Indiana Jones came is out! (seriously one of the best theme songs ever)
Dislike: Who knows when I'll have time to see it, this is going to be one ridiculously busy weekend.

Love: My hair looks pretty awesome today (the only benefit of rainy weather).
Dislike: It definitely doesn't look this good every day.

Love: It's a half day and Friday and a three day weekend!
Dislike: Yeah there's nothing to dislike about

What do you love or dislike about today?

happy weekend all!

Thursday, May 22, 2008

I had Captain Crunch for breakfast...that should explain things.

So today I had a whole post figured out but instead there are a couple random things I'd like to share:

One. So I was reading a couple days ago that they are making another Terminator movie. And not just one, but apparently three new ones. And who is playing John Connor.....Christian Bale?!? Ah. I heart him. But in the Terminator movies??? I'm not quite sure. I think I'm good with him just sticking to Bruce Wayne.

Two. As you may recall I'm a big baseball fan. Well mainly a Dodger fan. And I have been for a long time. And during my time as a baseball fan Mike Piazza has been my fave. Even after he left the Dodgers I still sort of followed him and tried to go to games when his team did play the Dodgers. Well yesterday Mike announced his retirement from baseball. Now I know he wasn't really on a team this year and was basically retired anyways, but I'm still a bit sad. He still has the most homeruns for any catcher and a couple other records. Basically he rocks and he will be missed from the baseball world.

Three. So I don't really ever watch Dancing with the Stars but I happened to catch the finale on Tuesday and wow. It was good, it was fun, yada yada yada. But to me the best part was Usher's performance of "Yeah." Did you watch it? Seriously, it was kind of fun. So if you missed it, check it out:

*update, i can tell he lip synced, i just liked the dancing and the song itself, thats' all i'm sayin :)*

Four. So remember how I said I just finished My Sister's Keeper and how they're making a movie about it? Well some screen caps were shown today of a bald Cameron Diaz, however it's a bald cap. Now the reason the Fanning girls quit the movie is because they didn't want to shave their heads. Now I take it the girls that are signed on now (Abagail Breslin and Sofia Vassilieva) are going to go bald for real but doesn't that seem a little unfair? Cameron gets to wear a cap while the young girls have to go bald for real. I don't know, maybe it's just me but that just doesn't seem right.
*another update. i've sort of changed my mind on this, haha. i realize that the daughter is probably bald for more in the movie than cameron so it does make more sense. but it's still interesting*

Five. And just for kicks a funny pic of Kat and I :)

Well that's all I got for today, time to get workin workin.

happy thursday!

The time I met Aladdin, the Fonz and a Housewife.

So it's no secret that I love pretty much all things Hollywood. I especially love celebrities and celeb gossip and all that ridiculous stuff. But even more so, I love meeting celebrities. Don't ask me why, because I honestly don't know. However I know that I've been pretty lucky in the celebrity department and I wanted to take today's post to share a couple more celebrity run ins I've had in the past, just because, woo:

So the summer before my senior year of college I was lucky enough to score an internship at Extra, it was awesome. I basically met more celebrities that summer than I had in the past three years, I was living on cloud nine. And while I was working at Extra, my best friend was working at Warner Brothers seeing her fair share of celebrities as well, basically we loved it.

Well story number one comes from a day I went to go meet Megan for lunch at Warner. I was so excited to go to the lot because, well... it's awesome. I love walking on the backlot and all that jazz and I was hoping to see some big celebrity because Megan had just seen George Clooney the day before, so my fingers were crossed. Well we got to lunch in the main cafeteria and I look around and all I see is a bunch of extras all bloodied and kind of gross (which was cool, but they weren't celebrities). So my hopes were running low that I'd actually see a celeb and I'm talking to Megan when a couple seconds later I hear a voice right behind me that I could pick out of anywhere...it was Aladdin! Okay Aladdin is my all time favorite Disney movie (next to Peter Pan) so I was beyond excited. But even cooler is that the voice of Aladdin is none other than Scott Weinger also known as Steve from Full House!

I don't really think I said anything to him except "excuse me" or "hi", I'm not quite sure. But he was nice and still cute and still Aladdin, and that's all that really mattered, haha.

Celebrity story number two actually comes from Extra. Towards the end of my time there I was basically working one on one with a producer and writing questions for interviews. So for the on set interview of Crossing Jordan I was asked to come along (insert squeeeee). I didn't even watch that show but I was so excited to go. I got to meet Jill Hennessy (of Law and Order fame and the star of the show), Jerry O' Connell (who was incredibly nice to me), Kathryn Hahn (who was so sweet and awesome) and by far the best person, Henry Winkler, yes the Fonz. I wasn't even a Happy Days fan but who doesn't know the Fonz? While Henry was giving his interview I was scribbling notes down and in the middle of his interview he goes "are you writing a novel there? How does your hand not hurt yet? I'm impressed. " and basically went on to praise me and say how I'm so dedicated, etc. He was so nice, it was amazing. So yes I am now a Fonz fan for life.

And for the last celebrity story of the day from Extra (trust me I have more, but this post would go on forever if I talked about them all) is one featuring one of my favorite Housewives, Marcia Cross. It was the morning the Emmy nominations had been announced and all the interns got assigned random places to go to take notes on interviews and bring back tapes and I was lucky enough to get assigned to someone I actually knew, haha. So after getting lost beyond words and fearing that I'd lose my job I finally made it to some random ass building and had to use what little muscles I had to lug a cooler full of champagne and a chocolate gift set across a parking lot and into an elevator that was impossible to find. Basically by the time I finally made it to the room where the Extra interviewer and Marcia were I looked a little beat. Luckily Marcia was so nice and told me to take a breath and then they started their interview while I took notes and was in awe of her red hair (seriously it was glowing) on her green sweater (yeah you know she did that on purpose, haha). It was also cool to see that she is nothing like Bree, haha. Not nearly as proper and even admitted that her house was nowhere near the cleanliness that Bree kept hers. All in all she was one of the nicest people I met that summer and the only one still working, haha.

Well that's all the celebness I got today. Have you met anyone famous lately? Do tell :)

happy wednesday!

Clearly I pick favorites in Hollywood.

Once again it's Tuesday and I'm about to resort to some bullet point notes, just so you know, I'm giving you a head's up....and here goes:
  • On Friday I finished My Sister's Keeper. It was so good. I defintiely called what happened at the end, but that didn't stop me from tearing it up. The story itself made me think and the characters made me sympathize, so basically Jodi did one amazing job. And now after reading the book I'm having a really hard time picturing Cameron Diaz as the mom in the movie adaptation and Alec Baldwin as the lawyer. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise me.

  • A Shiloh sighting!? Twice in two weeks, this is almost unheard of. But I do not mind, she is freaking adorable.

  • America Ferrera I heart you. No really, I do. You freaking look flawless, you don't have any scandals and you're my age. You are my hero. You're right up there with Mandy Moore, just so you know.

Oh and where did you get this fabulous black dress??? I want it!

  • It takes a very secure man to rock pink attire or any shade. Joshua Jackson is very secure and very confident, especially when Diane Kruger is at his side. They are seriously precious and I love them and heart him and ah!

Ah and even better, BuzzSugar has a new snippet of Josh's new Fall show, Fringe. I cannot wait, even if it looks ridiculous. But check it out, Team Josh!

  • So the Mummy and the Mummy Returns are two of my favorite movies (I finally got them on DVD for my birthday, woo!) so I don't really know how I feel about the fact that a third one is coming out. I'm pretty torn actually. Especially since Rachel Weisz isn't reprising her role as Evie and Maria Bello is taking her place (pshaw, no). Anyhoo, Lipstick Bitches posted a trailer for the newest installation in the series, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and I'm sharing it here, what do you think? A bomb or a blockbuster? I'm not quite sure yet...

Okay well that's all I got for today in the Hollywood realm. I haven't watched Greek yet and How I Met Your Mother was definitely sweet and had one fabulous ending, so check them out.

As for me it's time to get crackin on the work day, woo! Have a most fabulous day all.

happy tuesday!

I still got it.

And when I still got it, I mean I can drink seven margaritas in one night and not be hungover the next morning. That my friends was Tucson.

But let me back up real quick. Thursday like I said was Matt and I's two year anniversary. So we spent a very relaxing evening going to Islands for dinner (I seriously love that place), Cold Stone's for some dessert and to the movies to see Iron Man which was much much better than I anticipated. Basically it was lovely and just the night I needed before heading to the desert.

So Friday morning we headed off to Tucson, it only took us a mere eight and a half hours (ah! ga! wha!). By the time we (my parents, my aunt and I) got there we were exhausted, hot and ready to relax. Within twenty minutes we headed to the hotel bar and got some drinks. Then it hit us that we could actually hit up Happy Hour at Applebee's down the street. It was awesome. Appetizers, margaritas....basically it was heaven. By the end of the night the whole family (my cousin who was graduating, her parents, grandma and brother) met up at the hotel bar again and had a grand ole evening.

Saturday morning woke up, got breakfast with the fam, hung out by the pool then headed off to graduation. Graduation was long a bit boring, but still a good time. Afterwards we headed off to my cousin's grad party where there was delicious Mexican food and a margarita fountain, can you say mmmmmm? All in all it was a good time. Even though something sort of big, but not really, happened. Sitting around seeing all the college kids playing Beruit and hanging out, I realized that I as much as I miss college, that's not always me anymore. I had a good time drinking margaritas and watching people play and get trashed, but that wasn't what I wanted to do. I love my cousins I really do, but I just felt old (even though I'm only about two years older than most of the people there) and a little out of place. So I ended up leaving the party early with the adults and going back to the hotel bar and drinking some more. It ended up working out fine and being a lovely night and I actually saw some of SNL which was pretty hilarious. I didn't end up taking as many pics as I had hoped to, but here are some of the best:

The whole group for Britt's graduation

My mom, me and my aunts

Me and the graduate :)

Sunday we left bright and early and got back home around four which wasn't too bad considering the drive there. Matt came over and made the family dinner (he gets major points for that, haha) and we all hung out for a while, twas lovely. Afterwards I watched the Desperate Housewives finale with my mom (Ah! Crazy! Wow!), and it was amazing. Love it. Then hit the hay to wake up early today and go to the gym and come to work ready to kick ass and catch up, haha.

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

Le Brawn

Hi guys!

I'm Katelin's college friend, Jen. Since Kate's out of town (and sadly, not to visit me in NC again!), she asked me to guest post.

Those of you that have read Katelin's blog for longer than six seconds will be familiar with her fabulous roster of actor and musician crushes. Joshua Jackson, Keanu, Craig David, Ryan Cabrera, and NKOTB (performing live this morning!!!) are just a few of her faves.

Since it's Friday and the craziness of the work week has dissolved my brain to mush and the "ooh"ing and "aah"ing come much easier than actual words, here are some of my favorite boys:

First and foremost, Monsieur LeBron James:

It wasn't until I moved from Cleveland to North Carolina (a land of awesomeness, but devoid of any worthy professional sports) that I realized how great it is to have pro teams nearby. At the moment, we're smack dab in the middle of NBA playoffs, and Cavs games are finally on television down here (finally, a televised sport other than NASCAR!). We face elimination tonight, but hopefully LeBron will save the day.

And an action shot before we move on:

But a guy doesn’t have to be a pro athlete. A sense of humor will do just fine. Let us examine fine specimen numero deux:

Did you watch The Office season finale last night?!?! If you haven't seen it yet, I won't spoil it, but ahhhhh. I really love Pam & Jim, but it's gotten a little too lovey-dovey and boring. I miss the sexual tension! That said, can the next season start tomorrow, please??

And let's not forget the gentlemen that melt my heart with music:

Michael Bublé - so cute! This must be his Harlequin cover shot. Emily Blunt is so lucky to be dating him - he wrote "Everything" for her, I don't think it gets much more romantic than that.

My Idol pick: David Cook! I just think he's gorgeous, despite the fact that he's a man and is practically skinnier than me.

But if things don't work out between me and LeBron, John, Mike, or Dave, I am fully prepared to be a crazy cat lady and furmom to this guy:

And to leave you with a dose of crazy/funny, check out a younger Bill O'Reilly flipping out because the teleprompter wasn't working and below that, the always funny Stephen Colbert's rebuttal (anyone else see the Ron Burgundy similarities??): (ETA: Boo, y'all, YouTube removed the Colbert video! Below O'Reilly is a snippet, but sadly not the whole thing.)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for inviting me to guest post, Kate, and just between you and me, I know the truth. I know that you've skipped town to see NKOTB perform on the Today Show...just bring back Joey's autograph, okay?

Anniversary, we haz it.

*warning, warning, mushy post ahead, you've been warned*

So today is Matt and I's two year anniversary. Yes you're reading that right, two years. And yesterday was two years since I graduated college, so how does that figure?

Well let me give some back story since I don't think I've ever mentioned it. I sort of just brought Matt into my blog one day and was like "oh yeah, I have a boyfriend, say hi to Matt, he's cute." So here's the us story in short (sort of):

Flashback to Summer 2000. I spent the whole summer abroad in Germany and came back to lots of new people in my friends circle, which was totally awesome. Well I went with my friend to her boyfriend's house (who was also my friend) and he had some friends over, including Matt, and it was one big schnazzy hangout (oh Summer). After that I saw Matt a couple times and we instantly hit it off as friends. And before we knew it we were best friends.

Best friends that even though we didn't go to the same high school talked like we did and hung out with all our mutual friends, it was awesome. He went to some dances at my school with some of my friends and I went to his prom with him Junior and Senior year, it was quite the friendship we had going. Jump to Senior year when I went on Spring Break with him, his family and some friends. Matt told me he liked me. I really didn't know what to say, except "No you don't." Haha. But my relationship issues are for a whole other post. Basically I didn't want to mess the friendship up especially since I was heading off to Ohio in the Fall and he was going to Arizona and I was not going to college with a boyfriend. So we left it at that.

Fast forward to March of my Senior year in college. Matt and I were still super close and talked a lot and were definitely enjoying our separate lives at college. I had just been home the week before with my friends for Spring Break so you can imagine my surprise when on a random Friday night Matt ended up at my apartment door. He worked in cahoots with my roommate to surprise me, and man was I surprised, haha. It was probably one of the best weekends on campus. Parties all day, hanging out with everyone and Matt it was amazing.

So come Saturday night, his last night there I decided to crash on the futon with him and have a slumber party. I think we were both a little tipsy and Matt started doing the flirty hand thing (girls you know what I'm talking about right?) so I just looked him in the eye and was like "Do you want to kiss me?" which I'm pretty sure through him off but he did look back and say "Yeah." So me being the bold person that I am basically said "Well then you have ten seconds to do it." And he listened, haha. And we made out like high schoolers on my futon until we fell asleep.

After that I didn't really know what to do. I swear I had just seen the episode of Grey's when Meredith and George start fighting after they have sex and I was like "Ah! I can't ruin a friendship" but at the same time couldn't help thinking "but what if it's meant to be?" Yes I know, I'm retarded. So we (more like me) decided that we'd put whatever "us" there was on hold until I came home after graduation and see how things went from there.

Well as the story goes and the date I came home and realized "yes I do want to be with Matt, yes it is mean to be." Silly and corny as it is, it's crazy too. I was practically single my whole life, with random hookups and boyfriend thrown in the mix for a short bit too, and the idea that if I started dating Matt everything would be put on the line sort of freaked me out.

But I'm way past the freaking out and more into the ohemgeeilovethisboy mode, haha.

So with that, Happy Anniversary Matt! I love you :)

Also note I leave for Tucson tomorrow so tune in to one fabulous guest blogger, have a fabulous weekend all!

happy thursday!

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Oh Sun, I missed you. Oh college, I miss you.

So remember a week ago when I was whining about the ridiculously gloomy weather? Yeah well apparently the weather gods took pity on me and have given me this as today's forecast:

Doesn't that just make you happy? Ah. Sun. I love you.

Now if only I could just ditch work and go straight to the beach, then the day would be perfect, haha. I'll just settle with eating my lunch and reading outside, sounds like a good way to absorb the day, woo.

Okay moving on from the weather, because really you can only say so much. My friend AJ just brought to my attention the fact that two years ago today we graduated college....ummmwtf?!?! How did that happen?!?! Now I know I have some readers that have been out of college much longer and are probably past the phase of wishing they were back, etc, but really for me it was seriously four of the best years of my life. Anyone that knows me knows how much I loved college, it's sort of ridiculous, haha. There are so many stories I could share and people I could talk about, but instead I'll just share some pictures from my college years to commemorate today (and I'll try not to tear up I swear):
Freshman Year:
Hangin out on my roomie's bed
and yes note my hot coat, haha.

The aftermath of one kickass snow fight
...of course the girls won

Sophmore Year

We were all about school spirit!

I swear we did more than just holidays that year, haha)

Senior Year

Apparently graduating didn't make us any more mature

Oh college, how I heart thee. I seriously have like five albums full of pictures from college because this was pre-digital camera and most pre-Facebook. These are just some of the best I could find. Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed my college montage, I know I did, haha.

Hope you all have a most fabulous Wednesday! Woo!

happy wednesday!
