O' Christmas Tree!

O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree....

Yeah I don't know the rest of the lyrics to that Christmas classic, but I do know that Matt and I successfully got ourselves a Christmas tree last night! After going to one place and seeing that the options were dismal and way too expensive for our taste we headed over to the all mighty and powerful Target. Yeah who knew Target had good trees because I sure didn't? We went on recommendation of my dad and they did not disappoint. We got a lovely little noble fur for our lovely little apartment. Want to see it? Why of course you do because who doesn't love pictures of trees? haha. Anyhoo, enjoy the Christmasness of our Christmas tree:

Matt's ornaments aren't on here yet
hence the plethora of nutcrackers, haha

one of my favorite ornaments

I swear this guy has a face,
but he really is awesome

all lit up and ready to go, woo

And that is our Christmas tree. It's not fully decorated since Matt's ornaments are still at his parent's house and I'm missing a few, but it's cute and I love it and it's ours. Just another step to the funness of grownupness, haha.

Do the holidays make you feel a little older? Or is it just me?

But yay for Christmas! Woo!

pps. check out this woman and her insane amount of Christmas trees, it's slightly crazy.

happy thursday!

I totally get what you mean about the holidays making you feel more adult. It's different and fun in a different way. Cute tree btw!

That song is German and it should go like this...

That lady reminds me of my parents. Growing up, we almost always had at least 12-15 Christmas trees (cowboy tree, glass ornament tree, silver ornament tree, Hallmark moving ornaments tree, etc, etc, etc.), as well as a whole Christmas village with a train station set up in the living room. (They actually won 2nd place in some Christmas decorating contest one year.) I don't really do Christmas decorations - I think they do enough for all of us. :)

Yes, the holidays make me feel older. They also make me feel frustrated by how much fun, cute stuff I wish I had time to do.

nooo the holidays ALWAYS make me feel younger!
probably has something to do with the fact that i'm a 22 yr old still living at home with my parents - but oh well!

I just bought my first fake one. It's only 5ft and from Michael's that was 40%. It's pre-lit with some silver beading.

Small, simple and easy to put away.

Every time I hear that song I think about Family Ties when they didn't have a Christmas Tree only a Christmas Cactus.

"O Cactus Tree O Cactus Tree
You are so tall and... prickly"

The holidays do make me feel older. Especially seeing all of the old Holiday specials on TV and thinking..."Wow I thought this was much longer as a kid"....

Tim and I have a Tree Trim party every year where our friends come over to help decorate our tree and bring an ornament. We've done in the past few years and we have a ton of our "own" ornaments now.
