Wedding talk...and go!

I've been engaged a month. A month people! When did that happen? Your guess is as good as mine.

But really. I haven't really talked much wedding here since then and there still isn't a whole to talk about besides the fact that weddings are freakin expensive! It also doesn't help that Matt and I have tons of family and friends making our guest list a little ridiculous right now. And finding a place for all of these family and friends is sort of tiring. So tiring that for a short second I sort of contemplated throwing it all out the window and just considered getting hitched in Vegas next weekend.

Buuuut then reality sunk in and of course I wouldn't want that. I want all of my friends and family at my wedding and dag nabbit we will find a place we like that doesn't require us to promise our first born, haha.

So somewhere in the midst of it all we'll start making some real plans and I'll go gaga over everything on Etsy and WeddingBee and The Knot and ah! I'm getting married people!

And I still couldn't 'be more excited!! :)

Anything making you excited today?

happy weekend all!

Hollywood shenanigans.

So somehow it's Thursday already and there hasn't been a Hollywood post yet. Yeah a long weekend can do that to the blog. Anyhoo Hollywood day is finally here so let's get to it:
  • For this week's cute bebes we have the Damon family. I don't remember the last time we saw Matt with his girls but ohmygoodness they are seriously the cutest little things.

    so precious!

  • And also in the cute bebeness is little Matilda Ledger and the same adorable smile her dad had. Seriously she makes my heart melt and this picture with her and one of her mom's friends just makes me smile:

    adorable.

  • Also in baby news, apparently Mel Gibson's new ladyfriend is knocked up already. Ummmokay. And apparently Mel can joke about it and said to just call him Octo-Mel (since he already has seven kids with his soon to be ex-wife). Oy vey.

  • Moving on from the bebes and on to some hotness. Ryan Gosling's been in New York filming a new movie and my goodnes when he isn't smoking, he is smokin (haha, lamest joke ever).

    hello hotness.

  • Also in some good lookingness, even though it was over a week ago, Brad and Angelina looked freaking fabulous at Cannes. Although I'm not their biggest fans ever (not what you call a Brangeloonie) I do think they can pull off some glamorous looks and I love it:

    so classy.

  • In today's Twilight news....big spoilers kids, big spoilers! So many pictures from the New Moon set I almost squealed (okay I did squeal) when I saw them.

    hello shirtlessness Edward.

    cuteness!

And on top of it all, someone put together a video montage of all the pics to lay out the scene. Seriously if I didn't have so many books to read I'd start the Twilight series all over right this second! Ah can it just be November already!?!? Squeeeeeeee.

  • Speaking of movies...
Angels and Demons. I really liked it. Even though it freaked me the hell out with the creepy killer and bizarre things, I was a fan. And I can't wait to read the book because I hear it's a million times better.

Star Trek. Okay so I admit I had absolutely no intention of really seeing this movie, none whatsoever. But Matt and I went and I was a big fan. It was hilarious! No one told me it was so funny. And no one told me it had Eric Bana, Winona Ryder and Tyler Perry on top of all the other main stars, so crazy. But yeah in a nutshell, for not being a trekkie I was a big fan. And Chris Pine didn't hurt the cause either :)

  • And in TV news...
Apparently TV networks want to eff with my schedule. Everything is getting moved around (or canceled!) Ah!

Oh and want to see where TV sitcoms took place? Of course you do! Check out this map to be entertained and enjoy a little time warp.

Greek. I'm a week behind but seriously I love that Dale and Cappie are friend, love it. And love the secret society idea thing too, too funny. And basically umm I just love this show. It cracks me up.

Medium. Are you watching this show? You should be! Even though it almost got canceled and got picked up by CBS instead it's a great show. So bizarre but so awesome. I loved this week's episode and man. Just so good, basically you should watch it and I have a feeling next week's finale will be great.

John and Kate Plus 8. I don't even think I can talk about this show without saying WTF. Jen and I watched the season premiere on Monday and ummm is it just me or should they not be filming anymore??! Clearly they are having marital issues and they're not a fan of the stardom and their kids probably don't enjoy it all either (if they even notice) and stopping the show would be best for everyone (except TLC of course). I don't know, the episode just made me sad all around.

Without a Trace. The series finale. SERIES people. I sort of loved this show and all of a sudden it got canceled on me. And the finale wasn't even all that great, it was sort of a blah episode. Yay everyone lived. But the main characters broke up and then there was a wedding we didn't get to see and I'm just sad it's over, I really enjoyed that show and now it's gone. At least I'll have the TNT reruns still.

Fringe. I hate my DVR. It cut off the second to last episode and it didn't tape the finale. I am sad. And even sadder than the guy who plays Charlie got fired from the show. Sheesh. Basically I need to find a way to watch the finale, I need my Josh fix!

The Hills. I am declaring it here. After the finale this Sunday I will no longer watch the show. No thank Kristin Cavaleri (or however you spell your name). I am too old to watch the most scripted reality show and I was a Lauren fan anyways. And Spencer's proposal was ridiculous and gah. Oh and speaking of the main dbag, just watch this video and enjoy the hilarity that is sure to ensue.

Top Model. Yeah the season's over, but check out this interview with Celia. I sort of liked her a lot.

  • In music news...I am officially obsessed with MGMT's "Electric Feel." No joke, I listened to it 35 times yesterday, it's pretty bad, haha. It's so last year but oh so awesome.

  • And lastly in WTF news...Desmond Hatchett, the most fertile manwhoring twenty nine year old man around. At 29 he has 21 children with at least 11 different women. Soak that in and then tell me what you think. Like wo.
And that my friends is what's going on in Hollywood this week. Anything I missed? As always, fill me in!

happy thursday!

Oh how I love good girly weekend.

Oooooh and I'm back for real! Hi freaders! I've missed you. How have you been? How was your long weekend? Mine was pretty dang fabulous and I'm sort of sad it's over already, but alas 'tis life. Anyhoo time to recap and share the awesomeness, woo:

Thursday: Left for Atlanta at the crack of dawn. Flew all day and finally made it only to get lost in the airport, I'm a winner, haha. Eventually I made it out and my friend Kathleen and I were on our way to good ole North Carolina. Six hours later we made it and hung out with Jen and grabbed some drinks and just enjoyed being together, it was great.

Friday: Slept in which was amazing and lazed around for a good part of the morning before the three of us headed off to Childress Vineywards for the afternoon. It was so much fun. We tried some tasty wines and then bought a bottle and relaxed outside for a bit.

Jen, me and Kathleen enjoying some delicious wine

oh what a view

Seriously, it was a great afternoon... after we left the winery we watched some TV and hung out before picking up our friend Zoe from the airport and waiting for the Ohio girls to get there. And once they did get there, it was glorious! Nothing beats having almost all of your favorite girls together again.

Saturday: Slept in again (and man it was amazing) and took our time getting ready before heading off to the Taste of Durham. It was so freaking hot I couldn't believe it. But at least the food was tasty. I had some delicious ahi tuna and mac and cheese and shaved ice and mmmmmmdelish.

the girls enjoying some tastiness

enjoying the lovely day

We also listened to some music and hung out a bit before heading back to the airport to get our final friend Alli since her flights had been delayed all day. And man I can just say that being together again was glorious. So many laughs and jokes and memories oh good times...oh and also the best song ever, not even kidding, The Booty Song. Just try not to laugh when you listen to it.

After dinner we headed back to Jen's place to pregame, play Apples to Apples (I still stand by it as the best game eva, haha, love it), and just hang out before heading to the bars.

some of the ladies hangin out

oh I really love this game

After hanging out a bit we eventually made our way to the bar (all eight of us stacked into one cab, oh man was that tricky) downtown. And I gotta say, as expected, it was great. We all got buzzed (if not drunk) and laughed the night away, met Jen's bf, had some cheap drinks (oh I love the South), and an all around great time. My favorite part was when we left the bar and had an impromptu photo shoot around a statue in the middle of town in the middle of a street, it was hilarious.

heart these girls

fantabulous

The night ended with us squishing into Jen's bf car, singing the Booty song and laughing until all hours of the night. Twas awesome.

Sunday: (sorry this is long, it was a long weekend!) We got ourselves together after the long night and headed to another winery. You can never have too much wine right? It was such a fun time, we got to sit in the barrel room and chat and be loud and pick out our wines and yes, lovely.

cheers!

posing with the wine barrels, mmmmmwine!

After the wineries we headed to Winston-Salem had some dinner, laughed at the fact that I say "granted" a million more times than the average person, and and a dandy time. After dinner we came back and indulged in some ABC Family goodness of Another Cinderella Movie and then Bride Wars. It's nights like that that make me miss my girlfriends. Those movies were both horrendous and fabulous and so much better watching it with girls, haha.

Monday: Lazed around in the morning and eventually everyone but me took off. It was sort of sad to see them go but I know I'll see them again in October for Virginia's wedding so I can't wait! After everyone left Jen and I spent the day window shopping and hanging out and chatting and catching up and all around having a girly fabulous day. Seriously my favorite. A favorite kind of weekend all around and I couldn't have pictured it any other way.

Tuesday: Flew home way to early and was way too sad to end my vacation. Luckily when I did get home Matt didn't want the vacation to end just yet either. After relaxing a bit we headed to the movies and saw Angels and Demons, had some dinner, then went back to the theater to see Star Trek. It was just the night I needed.

And that my friends is the oh so fabulous long weekend I so needed and most definitely enjoyed to the fullest.

and how was your weekend?

happy wednesday!

Annnnnd I'm back!

Well sort of. As you can tell I didn't blog yesterday and hopefully you all saw Alexa's gem of a dream post.

Anyhoo I only say I'm back sort of because I'm technically flying home as you read this. So no I can't recap the whole weekend and no I don't have any of my own pictures up and dang it all I just don't really have a whole lot to share just yet. But I didn't want to leave you hanging for so long.

So just know I drank tons of wine, laughed non-stop, ate at the weirdest times, hung out with some of the best friends a girl could imagine, watched movies on ABC family and had an all around blast.

And with that I leave you with a teaser picture:

Jen and I with Mr. Childress's car.
Apparently he's a big deal or something, haha.

Come back tomorrow for the whole weekend rundown. Hope you all had a most fantabulous weekend!

happy tuesday!

friday share v3 - dream edition

whoa, so this is what it feels like to be a footsie friend of katelin's? i can get used to my feet in the sand, that's for sure. excuse me while i get comfortable - there's the spot.

HI, i'm alexa and i write the blog cleveland's a plum. yes, THAT cleveland, the one in ohio, the city with LEBRON.

anyways, so recently i've started a friday feature on my blog where i share something then YOU share something. hence the ridiculously catchy and original title of 'friday share', (that's why i get paid the big bucks), and this friday i'm bringing it over to katelin's.

considering katelin is so well versed in all things hollywood, living in LA and all. i decided that this would be a good place to discuss a hollywood themed dream i had on wednesday. which goes a little something like this...

picture it, cleveland ohio, my apartment downtown. it's evening and i'm sitting on my couch reading a book while halfway listening to entertainment tonight. when there's a knock on my door.

i answer it and to my surprise it's BRAD PITT and his children. and i'm talking ALL of his children: maddox, pax, zahara, shiloh, knox and vivienne. i'm standing there in disbelief when he says,

"i have an emergency and i need you, alexa, to watch my children"

"me? why? how did you know where i live?", i said.

"i know everything about you", brad creepily said while pushing his brood into my apartment.

and with that he was off, walking away from me down the hall. all the while i was yelling, "but where's angelina? can't she watch them? don't you have a nanny!!?!?"

i close my apartment door and turn around to see the kids standing there staring at me.

"hi guys", i said, "do you want a popsicle?"

i received a unanimous yes and headed to the fridge to grab some freezer pops, handing one to each child. i show the ridiculously well behaved children to my deck and we sit outside and catch fireflies.

seriously, fireflies. and then i woke up.

do i or do i not have the most boring dreams?

i mean this dream had the potential of being awesome. hello -brad pitt at your door! that alone can go in so so so many pleasant directions. but what happens? i get left with his kids, not him, sitting on my deck eating popsicles.

apparently my boring life is even forcing its way into my dream life. lame-o.

so what have you dreamed about lately? it's got to be better than mine.

People that should be paying me.

Yesterday as I was getting dressed and noticed that about 85% of my shirt drawer was Old Navy in origin I realized that they should pay me. I mean so many of my clothes are from there and I love it all, so why not pay me for it? I'm a walking billboard for crimeny sake. And that got me thinking about all the other people that should probably be paying me as well...
  • Stephenie Meyer. Seriously I know the woman's got money to spare and I've told so many people about Twilight it's not even funny. I could practically be a Twilight publicist, haha.

  • All airlines. I put so much money into them I'm pretty sure they could repay me just a bit.

  • Craig David. I'm pretty sure none of my friends knew who he was until I introduced them. Seriously I'm like his freakin publicist. Now if only he would make his US visits more frequently my job would be easier, haha.

  • Granny Smith apples. I think I go through more apples in a week than some families go through in a month. I'm pretty sure I could be an apple spokesperson or something. And man are they delicious.

  • The creators of flip flops. I wear them almost every day in any weather it's sort of ridiculous. But I think they should pay me because I need some new ones, haha.

Seriously people shouldn't I be getting paid for my hard work? And really I've got a wedding to pay for soon and some travels to be had, yeah extra money would be loverly. So you hear that Stephenie and Old Navy? Pay up please. Sweet, thanks. Love, Katelin.

Anyone that should be paying you?

happy wednesday!

Don't Mosby me Hollywood.

It's Tuesday and you know what that means.....Hollywood post day, woo woo. So let's get to it already:
  • Starting off the cuteness of the bebes we have an adorable picture of Sasha and Liev Schreiber. Seriously, Sasha is quickly becoming one of my faves in the adorableness category, haha. But really how can you not say "awwwwww" to this picture.

    presh!

  • And also in the bebe cuteness we have my favorite of the faves, little Violet Affleck strolling along with mama Jen and baby Sera, seriously, most precious adorableist family in Hollywood eva:

    wuv it.

  • Sort of related to the bebes...apparently Brad Pitt is driving all the moms of Long Island crazy (in a good way of course!). It's being said that the usually laid back moms are bringing out the designer jeans and makeup in hopes of running into Brad when he picks up the kid from day care or even goes grocery shopping while Angelina's filming. Seriously this story cracked me up because I know I would do the same thing. When I was waiting to meet Ryan Gosling I made sure to look somewhat cuteish (ie no gaucho pants, haha). Love it.

  • In "oh-my-gosh-I'm-still-a-sixth-grader-at-heart" Kate Winslet recently gave an interview to Flare magazine in which she revealed that she wears two rings. Her wedding ring with husband Sam Mendes and a ring from Leo that's even engraved. Seriously! Ah! Jack and Rose for eva!

Also in Leo news, he's such a good Laker fan. Front row and cheering and looking all good scruffy like.

    hello good lookin.

  • In Twilight news.
Dakota Fanning is such a gorgeous young woman. I mean it's crazy that we've all seen her grow up and she's so sophisticated, I guess she's like our generations' Drew Barrymore (just without the rehab and all that) and the Olsen twins 2.0. But really I'm so excited for her to be in New Moon and seriously heart her.

yeah I couldn't even rock that look

Another Twilight tidbit...apparently a clip/promo/preview/snippit of New Moon is going to be aired at the MTV movie awards. Heyo! I may have to DVR it just for that, haha. Oh and even more New Moon-ness, apparently the first poster has leaked and I like it.

Also in Twilightness....RPatz of course. Mmmmmm. Everyone needs some daily Robness.

oh check him out all Edward-like

Also in Rob news, apparently he's slated on a new movie with Hugh Jackman. Hello! I'm already in line to see it, haha.

  • And in TV news...
Grey's Anatomy. Oh. Em. Gee. If you haven't watched the finale yet then you are missing out and I'm going to spoil it if you keep reading, haha. But seriously, wow. The episode was pretty good to me, not their best, but the last 10 minutes, holy crap. I was screaming at my TV, tears streaming, ohmygoshing more times that I can count. I seriously rewatched the part where John Doe was revealed to be George at least 6 times and got teary every one of them. I was in shock, heck I still am. And I totally called that Izzie's life would be in limbo and heck now George's is too. But I'm predicting that Izzie will make it and George will not and man, is it the season premiere yet?? (a better recap of the ep is here at BuzzSugar if you have no idea what I'm talking about and want to read about it)

Top Model. Well that was a let down. Teyona won. We all saw it coming as much as I didn't want her to win it, she did. They even gave me hope that awkward Allison may win, but no, not the case. I couldn't really tell you how the episode went because I fast forwarded through most of it to see who won. As always, the best recap eva is here.

Fringe. I am so behind it's not even funny. But I do want to take this time to yell at Fox for changing Fringe's time slot next Fall to Thursdays at 9 to compete with Grey's and CSI: WTF FOX?! Do you not know that my DVR can only tape 2 shows and I only have 1 TV?! How rude!!

John and Kate Plus 8. Man I used to love this show and the family but there is just so much drama around them everywhere now it's sad. I just feel bad for the kids, because man they are cute. Heck Tia sums it all up best, I agree with her about the fam and the drama and I'm kind of curious about the new season.

    How I Met Your Mother.
Aw yay! Robin and Barney, yay! The Mosby, haha, classic. Marshall jumped, yay! The goat story finally, yay! And Professor Mosby, yay! Seriously love this show and even though there were no major cliff hangers I still loved it.

Desperate Housewives. Almost too much to talk about. One. Anna is so much like the Scavo's banned away step-daughter it's sort of lame. Two. I love Mrs. McClusky and her sister, so funny. And so excited they may be getting their own show! Three. Lynette is pregnant!? With twins!! Oh man. Four. Bree and Carl!!! What the hell!? Five. Thank god everyone knows the Dave mystery now

And that my friends is what's happenin in Hollywood. Anything I missed?

happy tuesday!

A "throw your cap in the air" kind of weekend.

Dear weekend. Come back already! You went by too fast! Ah! I men really there was an anniversary, a graduation, a birthday, some parties, I'm tired again just thinking about it! Anyhoo recap here we go!

Friday: Thank you all so much for the comments on Friday's post and tolerating all of my mushiness lately, haha. But yeah Friday night was loverly spending our anniversary together. Matt made a fabulous dinner and we had some wine, relaxed a bit, went over to Baskin Robbins and got some ice cream, then settled in for a night with Role Models. So yeah we just enjoyed a good night in and I loved it.

Saturday: Ran some errands in the morning before heading out to my sister's college graduation. COLLEGE GRADUATION! My LITTLE SISTER graduated from COLLEGE! Ah! I still can't believe it. I'm so proud of her and still baffled at the fact that she's already graduated. So crazy!

the graduate!

The graduation was a typical graduation and afterwards we hung around and took some pics of the fam before heading off to dinner.

the graduate with the family

After dinner Matt and I went to the local dive bar with my aunt, my dad and our cousin. It was so much fun. We drank a lot and got waaaay too into the touch screen game and got an audience in the process, haha. It was awesome.

Sunday: My sister's graduation party was the day's main event. Some family from out of town made it in, lots of friends came too and a really good time all around. It was even more fun for me to see some family and friends that I hadn't seen since getting engaged, so it was fun to retell the story and show off my ring a bit.

all the family (well most of)

my cousin and I flashing our rings, haha

my parents and the graduate

Matt and I rockin our shades

After her party Matt and I went to his mom's house for a BBQ with his fam and to see his family in town from Chicago. So basically I can't eat any more for a week because that's all I did the whole weekend, eat and drink and be merry, haha. After the BBQ I went out again for my friend's little sister's 21st birthday. It was a fun time hanging out with friends, drinking my water and convincing people it was straight vodka, haha, and just having a good time. All in all it was a great way to cap off a fantastic weekend.

And how was your weekend? Any graduations? I feel like they're everywhere now! It's grad season! (congrats to all grads, woo!)

happy monday!

Happy Threesaversary!

I know this is becoming a "oh-my-gosh-I'm-engaged-and-so-in-love" blog but I can't help it today.

Because today marks our three year anniversary!

Last year I shared "our story" and this year I thought I'd share some threesness....

Three TV shows I watch that Matt openly makes fun of:
  • Top Model
  • The Hills
  • Grey's Anatomy
Three TV shows I think he secretly likes (or at least pays attention to):
  • Grey's Anatomy (not even kidding, Matt figured out last night's finale before I did! Ohhh what a twist!!)
  • Desperate Housewives (I'm pretty sure he knows who's married to who and that's impressive)
  • Without a Trace (Yeah you can't not like this show compare to the other crap I watch, haha)
Three TV channels Matt will have the TV on if he has the remote:
  • ESPN (umm yeah. This is the majority of any of his channel changes, haha)
  • Discovery Channel (Mythbusters or any How It's Made show)
  • Food Network (he is a food fanatic)
Three things I've learned about Matt while living with him:
  • He flays a lot in his sleep sometimes.
  • He leaves stuff everywhere....but eventually picks it up.
  • He get ready waaaaay quicker than I do.
Three things I say to Matt pretty regularly:
  • "Maaaaatt. Can you kill this spider pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee?"
  • "Aren't you glad I watch the Hills? Spencer makes you look like the best fiance ever!"
  • "So what game is this? Who's playing?"
Three things Matt says to me regularly:
  • "I can't believe you watch this show"
  • "Yes, even if you gain a million pounds I'll still love you"
  • "Your face"
Basically I love the guy and I can't wait to spend oh so many more years with him!

Happy Anniversary Matt!

Hope everyone has a most fabulous weekend!

happy friday!

I Loved College.

Three years ago I graduated college. So it's only appropriate I listen to Asher Roth's "I Love College" 24935809586 times today right?

I mean I really did love college. And even if I didn't have all the scenarios from the song, I had some really ridiculous and awesome times and if I could I would do it all over again.

Last year on this day I shared some college pics, but this year I want to share some college fun facts and mini-stories to take me back and share a bit with the freaders, so here we go:
  • My school had a huge hill to get up to campus from town. After going to the bars one night, my friend Kathleen and I most definitely got a ride from a pizza guy, we hopped in the back of his pick up and rode to the top. Oh good times.

  • Kathleen and I also liked to reenact the scene from the Notebook when Noah and Ally lie in the middle of the street. What can I say? We rock.

  • My junior year of college I made a fake Real World video with some of my friends and it's one of the funniest videos ever, I seriously need to get that edited.

  • Also junior year, I got my friend AJ (who doesn't really like sweets) to chug chocolate syrup for peppermint patty shots and he started dancing to Usher's "Yeah" in a room full of girls. And it's all on video, haha.

  • I had my own radio show and loved it. However, funny story I was so hungover once that I puked in the trash can in the lobby...while a song was playing. And yeah it was the first day I had a mentee, haha.

  • Freshmen year when it was snowing and we decided to steal trays from the dining hall by tossing them out the window so we could go sledding on them. Best idea I've ever had, haha. Worst idea? Not wearing gloves when I went sledding, whoops!

  • Also freshmen year, Jennifer Garner came to campus to speak and we got to ask her questions. And I asked her something along the lines of why did she do Dude Where's My Car? How that question came to me I have no idea, but I wish I had asked something cooler.

  • When it was announced that Britney Spears had her bebe my roomies and I played Britney music, danced on the furniture and sang as loud as we could....until our RA told us we needed to turn it down a notch, haha.

  • My sophmore year my friends and I started Wasted Week. Basically we drank the whole week and had theme nights (like Minnesota Monday) and harassed all of our friends that were actually doing work, it was wonderous.

  • One night my friend Zoe and I tried to high five each other and completely missed. Like completely. It then became tradition to never get it right and even add a few steps. It was like our secret non-handshake, haha.

  • Senior year we had a Price is Right party and it was awesome. We even had a drink-o board. Seriously, best party of the whole year.

Seriously I could keep this going forever but this post is already long. Basically college was amazing and I can't believe it's already been three years since I was there, like wo.

...And even more appropriate is that one week from today I'll be in North Carolina with seven of my best college friends (the first time all of us have been together since May '07)!!

camped out at The Price is Right

cheers to the eight great!

And I couldn't be more excited!!

Any good college memories you want to share?

happy thursday!

I'm being followed by Weddings.

Weddings are stalking me. I'm not even kidding. Ever since I got engaged there have been weddings everywhere I turn! Don't believe me? Well...
  • Greek. Last week (or was it two weeks ago?) there was a wedding at Cyprus, everyone went, the bride was crazy and her hair was big.

  • Grey's Anatomy. As I mentioned yesterday Izzy and Alex got married, it was so sweet and precious and adorable and Meredith and Derek still have to tie the knot.

  • The Today Show. They've been advertising their yearly "Today Throws a Wedding" recently and I've half-not-really-sort-but-definitely-not considered it.

  • Brothers and Sisters. Justin and Rebecca are getting married and his pre-proposal made me get a little teary on Sunday, so sweet.

  • Desperate Housewives. Catherine is wedding obsessed and getting hitched the hotness that is Mike and Susan was going to marry Jackson before immigration got him, so who knows what's going on there.

  • Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Okay I knew what I was getting myself into when I went to see this with my mom but it was the only one we both wanted to see and it was very wedding-centric and pretty cute.

  • 7 Up. I'm currently reading book 7 of the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich and there are so much talk of her maybe marriage to Joe Morelli it's cracking me up.

  • PopSugar. One of my favorite celeb photo sites has a Wedding Season section that's been staring me down lately and staring at celeb weddingness.

  • Friends' weddings. I have four weddings coming up. I just received Virginia's Save the Date (which is adorable by the way), an engagement party evite and I'm currently booking a hotel and flight for another wedding in New Mexico.

  • MOH. The last of those four weddings is my cousin's wedding in which I am the maid of honor and my duties are calling lately, gotta get some sort of shower and bachelorette party going on soon.

See what I mean? Weddings are everywhere! They're in my mail, on TV, online, in books I read, eveywhere!....And I'm okay with that.

I like getting ideas and adding stuff to the "wedding folder" in my inbox and remembering things I in no way want to do (sorry Grey's no purple pastels for this wedding) or things I may want to say at toasts or stuff like that.

actually I'm thinking these pastels may work instead, haha

So anything following you around lately? Or are weddings stalking everyone these days, haha?

happy wednesday!

Heyo Hollywood.

Why hello there Tuesday nice to see you again so soon. Hollywood is here and ready so let's go:
  • This week's first celeb wittle bebe we have the Stefani-Rossdale boys. Seriously they are just all sorts of preciousness hanging out with mama Gwen:

    so adorable!

  • And for the second pair of cute bebes we have some more adorable boys that I don't think I'd seen before. Little Lebron Jr. and Bryce Maximus James. Seriously these boys are so cute, and heck their dad is the NBA MVP, haha.

    what cuties!

  • In favorites news, I heart Josh and Diane. Obviously I love Josh Jackson and I love him with Diane. They are so cute together. And as they stroll around Paris I just can see the love, woo.

    so cute.

  • For today's latest Twilight news, there really is no news just a picture of Rob Pattinson. I mean he's all cute and vampireish looking, it's pretty schnazzy. Is it November yet? I'm ready for New Moon to come out already!

    helloooo Mr. Cullen
  • Random non-favorites news, apparently for their wedding anniversary Dean McDermott gave Tori Spelling a new wedding ring. And it's some sort of tradition that he buys her a new ring every year. Ummm doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of the wedding ring? Maybe that's just me. And it also seems a little excessive, but then again when has Tori Spelling not been excesive.

  • A congrats is due to Jimmy Fallon who officially recieved his college diploma this weekend, seventeen years later. Better late than never right? Congrats Jimmy!

  • In movie news...
Fun fact about Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, the girl that plays a young Jen Garner is the same girl that plays young Jen Garner in 13 Going on 30. At least she's got a job any time a movie needs a young JG, haha.
  • And in TV news...
Ohmygoodness it's finale week. I'm pretty sure my DVR is excited. And I'm sort of excited to check out some shows on DVD and movie watching, oh the good ole movie watching. Anyhoodles shows are still going and I've got some recaps...

Desperate Housewives. Come on now. Daaaave. Please tell me he dies in this week's finale. Or gets arrested. Because honestly I can't take him any more. And ohmygoodness MJ is adorable, seriously precious. And um why is everyone getting engaged or married on every show? I'm pretty sure it's because I got engaged and all my shows followed suit, haha.

Brothers and Sisters. I love the Walkers. As messed up and crazy as they are I pretty much love them. However I am pretty annoyed with Kitty's behavior, it's just lame and gah, get over it. Granted I did think she realized that at the end but alas it's the finale so who knows what's happening next season. And yaaaay for Justin and Rebecca (even if she does have a Pacey-like past), they're so cute. Even though they are sort of crazy, I sort have come to love them together again.

Grey's Anatomy. Oh yes, I teared. I tear at everything now. But the whole giving Izzy the wedding and George walking her down the aisle, yeah I teared. And umm when every kid in that car accident died!? Yeah I teared then too. Oh man. But helllloooo this week's finale, Izzy. Will she die or won't she?

Greek. Max is just the cutest thing. Awkward yes, but adorable. And poor Rusty, so in love and yet so conflicted. Ashley and her boy are so cute, love them. Seriously I love this silly show and it makes me miss college, even if my days weren't as crazy I still miss it.

Top Model. Bye bye Celia. I was sort of bummed to see her go because really, she was fierce. And I'm not really a fan of the top three but oh well. I think it's going to be Teyona and Allison in the top two and Teyona may take it. And as usual, best recap ever here.

The Hills. I didn't watch yesterday's episode yet but apparently Spencer decided that Heidi isn't the only one that needs a "music" career. Spencer released a rap. I couldn't listen to it but if you want to laugh for the rest of the day feel free to check it out.

How I Met Your Mother. Ted's ringtone is "Let's Go To the Mall", haha. I freaking love it. And oh Barney I heart you and your ridiculousness. But Stella, why Stella? I hope this was a leeway to something better coming on the show. And welcome back Lily and your super pregnant self.(*update: Lily the character isn't pregnant but Alyson Hannigan was very pregnant during filming and you can totally tell how they're hiding it, along with Colbie. So no characters are preg, just the actors, woo!*)

  • In today's WTF news we have a fantabulous new (at least to me) website. At first we had, Fail Blog and then FML and most recently texts from last night and now we have Awkward Family Photos. Oh man this site is a gem. So much awkwardness it's hilarious.

And that my friends is this week in Hollywood...anything I missed? Feel free to add it to the comments as always.

happy tuesday!

Weekend-o-lovely.

Monday? Again? Already? Okay I guess. At least the weekend was great...and goooo!

Friday: Work was work. Then I came home and Matt and I went out for a fantabulous date night. We went to Island's for dinner (seriously I love that place) then watched Wolverine. And oh man, I gotta say I loved Wolverine. I love the X-Men movies and I thought this was a great prequel, great special effects, hot guys (hello Hugh, we're friends, remember me? Nice job in the movie), awesomeness.

why hello there Hugh

After the movie Matt and I came home, relaxed, drank some wine and it twas loverly.

Saturday: Woke up earlyish and headed over to Santa Anita to see Matt's younger brother graduate from culinary school. For a graduation it wasn't too bad, they served food and beer, but you couldn't really hear any of the speakers and everyone in the audience talked the whole time. But hey it was a graduation and Matt's brother did it, so woo! Time to celebrate!

Matt, Brad the graduate and Ryan

the whole group celebrating

After the graduation Matt and I went home for a bit to relax and run some errands (yeah I know those two words don't go together but run with it, haha). Eventually we headed over to Matt's dad's house for dinner with everyone to celebrate. We got to eat some tastiness, watch some Robin Williams LIVE and just hang out. Twas loverly.

Once dinner was over we headed over to Michaela's family's house to drink some more, hang out some more, laugh some more, all in all hang out some more. After that Matt and I came home and watched some SNL (ohmygosh Justin is a SNL gem, love it all) and drank some wine. Another solid night.

Sunday: Happy Mother's Day!! Matt and I headed over to brunch with my family and my grandma and it was delicious, I mean who doesn't love brunch? Afterwards Matt and I headed over to Michaela's family's house again to go swimming. It was awesome. The weather was perfect, the pool was perfect, and Michaela has some of the cutest nieces ever, it was so much fun. After swimming I took my mom to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past as a Mother's Day treat and it was actually pretty cute. We headed home after the movie and my dad and Matt cooked dinner and it was delicious. Eventually Matt and I headed home for another lazy night of catching up on the DVR and drinking some wine.

All in all it was another pretty spiffy weekend (yeah I said spiffy what of it?) and I'm already counting down to the next one (but really I mean who doesn't do that? haha).

And how was your weekend? Enjoy the good weather? Drink some wine? Have some good times? Woo!

happy monday!

Terrible Twos.

So I know this blog has been all about birthdays lately but there is just one more birthday I can't pass up on sharing....my blog's!!

Happy Birthday Blog!
Woo woo Terrible Twos today*!

I can't believe it's been two years since I started this thing. I mean, my first post was silly, I wrote in different colored fonts every day, I had no direction and yet I kept blogging. And I am so glad I did. I really can't imagine my life without blogging now, that's how much I love it.

I love sharing random celebrity facts and recaps of my life and making friends I may never meet but still love all the same. I mean really, who knew blogging could do so much for one person?

Now when I try to tell a story some of my friends say "oh yeah, I read that on your blog", haha. It's both hilarious and ridiculous and I do not mind. And because I've made it two years I have to give out some much deserved thanks and praises:
  • Matt. Thank you for understanding that I have to post before I go to bed and letting me talk about our lives freely and sharing with strangers how awesome you are.

  • The Hills. Without you I wouldn't have nearly as much stuff to make fun of.

  • My top 5. I've met three of you in the past year and by goodness if I meet the other two my blog (aka me) may just explode of happiness.

  • Ty Ty. You are crazy. And I love it.

  • My freaders. You are all rock stars, I heart each and every one of you and I hope to meet even more of you in the future (yeaaaah Vegas! and BlogHer '09) because umm that's awesome.

  • Apples and cheese. You truly are delicious so I want to thank you for that. Keep on being tasty.

  • Violet Affleck. You are adorable. And pretty much started the "cute celeb bebe" posts, so stay adorable and normal and I hope whenever I have kids they are as dang cute as you are.
I know there are tons more people and places and things I should be thanking but that list could go on for days. So anyhoodles, thanks for sticking around and seeing this blog to two whole years, woo!

Oh and just so you know:

So very very true, muaw haha.

Anyhoo hope you all have a most fabulous weekend and hug your moms or friends that look like your mom or mom-like people, hug someone who's mommish :)

Oh! And have a cupcake! Blog birthdays require cupcakes, obviously. And champagne if you're feeling frisky, haha.

happy friday!

*actually it's tomorrow, but same thing right?

A Re-Welcome.

In case you didn't see my tweet yesterday, I found out my little ole blog was featured on Blogger.com's "Blogs of Note" list and ummm WOW. I even screenshotted it in case non-Blogger.com users didn't believe me:

(yes I am a screenshotting nerd but I couldn't believe it! heck I still can't)

And since I have been featured I've acquired some new readers or some new onlookers so I just wanted to take a chance to welcome you and give you some fun facts so you can catch up. Annnnd go!
  • My name is Katelin (if you couldn't figure that out then you should just leave now, haha).

  • This is what I look like:

  • I just turned 25 and got engaged, so life is pretty good.

  • One day I will meet Keanu Reeves and I'll say "Wo" and it will be magnificent.

  • I hate zuchinni.

  • I own one pair of tennis shoes.

  • I blog a lot about celebrities and Hollywood and it's totally useful. You'll probably use the knowledge in every day conversations.

  • I would be okay listening to Craig David and New Kids on the Block non-stop.

  • I can't function without a planner.

  • If I could eat pizza, enchilladas and cupcakes every day forever I'd be pretty content with that. I'd also be a thousand pounds but hey at least I'd be happy right?

  • My curly hair pretty much displays my personality, all over the place.

Anyhoodles, that's pretty much me in a nutshell, need to know anything else? That's what the archives are for :)

Have a most fabulous it's almost the weekend day! Woo!

happy thursday!

My Fiance has a birthday.

Dearest fiance (I love that word),

Today is your 25th birthday. So.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Although you are currently recuperating at home with a pinched nerve and a sore back and a bruised ankle (aka you have the body of a 90 year old, haha) I hope your day is fabulous.

Last year on your birthday I shared some of my favorite quirks about you and this year I couldn't get past the part where I can call you fiance instead of boyfriend :)

I mean really, how cool is that? Best birthday present ever and it just keeps on giving right? Right? Okay but really, I'm glad you had a great time racing over the weekend (even if it didn't really help said injuries) and hope today/tonight is just as awesome, woo.

I love you and I hope you have the happiest of happy birthdays!!

25 and so pensive

Love,
Katelin
