Help: Summer tunes needed.

Have you ever have one of those mornings where you wake up and you just think "WTF?"

Yeah that was me today. I woke up with the "going steady" song from Bye, Bye Birdie in my head, yeah that one. Maybe it had something to do with that fact that I was watching Hairspray last night, who knows, but that is definitely one odd song to start your day off with.

And while we're on the topic of music, I need some help. Summer officially starts in two days and I need a new summer mix. Well knowing me, I'll probably make more than one. But it's practically tradition that I have a CD of summer songs that I can play all summer long (and then some) and automatically sing along to and dance in my car. Well this year's mix is looking dismal so far. Right now this about all I have:

Granted this is all I have from my computer at work and my playlist at home is probably way better. But I still need help. Who can I sing to? Who has the best car dancing music? And if all else fails I still have O.A.R., they are the epitome of my summer music...heart them.

So freaders, help a music lover out. What's on your summer playlist?

ps. yes I know that most of that list is poppy mcpopperson music, but I am totally up for whatever. Rock, R&B, Country even. I just need something to sing or dance to, sweet. :)

happy thursday!

I really love Robyn. Konichiwa Bitches is great. But the song I've had in my head for the past couple of weeks is Damaged by Danity Kane. I have no idea why, I've never been a fan but I love that song. And after hating Bleeding Love when I first heard it, I know love it.

Last summer, it was totally Corinne Bailey Rae. Or was that the summer before? Either way, that song is SO summery to me.

I'm no help now that you've got me singing, "Did she really get pinned, yeah, yeah." I had that song in my head a few days ago for absolutely no reason and finally got rid of it. Now it's back.

Well for summertime you have to go old school with Will Smith and his song Summertime! All time favorite. Also I am in love with Coldplay and Radiohead's new albums. Great stuff!

Said in my most sing sang voice, evahhh!
Love me some Bye, Bye Birdie.

My summer play list consists
of silly girly/country/poppy music.
Your list is rocking, PS.

I love some old school N'Sync,
Backstreet Boys, Britney...you know the works.

Kenny Chesney-Summertime is great! And well most by Kenny I enjoy. Along with Brad and Keith.

Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
Chris Brown - Forever
Santogold - Lights Out

Other than those new additions to my playlist, I have been listening to a lot of Rilo Kiley and Kanye. :)

What is a freader? You bloggers and your slang.

I'm going to have to go Toby Keith on you and suggest "Stays in Mexico", "I Love This Bar", and "Shoulda Been a Cowboy".

Sigh. I think I'm in love.
