A SUPER giveaway!

So first of all, the Garner-Afflecks finally released the name of their new little bebe girl and who am I to NOT tell you that one. Violet's new little sister's name is

.....Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck. ta da!

I, although probably biased, think it's a cute name. Now I don't know that I'd name my future kid Seraphina, but still it's cute and congrats to the happy fam! :)

Anyhoo moving on to something totally unrelated to celebrity bebes and their cuteness... the Super Bowl! (see, I know you were wondering what the hell was up with that title and now it has meaning, haha).

Haha, yeah that was an awful transition but really I'm going to talk about the Super Bowl. Now I really don't care too much about pro-football, I'm more of a college ball girl myself, but Matt was into it BIG TIME this year because he was in a fantasy football league. So I actually got to know some of the pro players and teams and what not and sort of started to like it, sort of.

Nonetheless, even if I didn't like pro football I'd still watch the Super Bowl. I mean how could I pass up watching amazing commercials, nip slips, drunk fans and hanging out with my guy friends as they scream and cheer at the game. Basically, Superbowl Sunday is awesome.

And you know what? It's going to be a little bit more awesome for someone this year. Because I'm giving something awesome, courtesy of the lovely Tara, the Ultimate Super Bowl Party Pack!

And what is in this party pack you ask? Well, let me tell ya:

  • 1 Football
  • 1 Beverage Pail
  • 1 Snack Helmet (how awesome is that?!)
  • 2 Key Chains
  • 2 Hats
  • 2 T-Shirts
  • 5 Pepsi 24 pack coupons
  • 5 Frito Lay coupons
I mean really, how sweet is that? You'll have everything you'll need for a grand ole Super Bowl party! (minus the alcohol of course, haha). And what do you have to do to win such a rockin prize? Simply leave a comment telling me who your football team is (college or pro) and why? And to get an extra entry tweet about the contest or post about it on your blog and post it in the comments. Woot!

I'll pick a winner at random next Wednesday, January 21st, so get going and good luck!

happy wednesday!

You definitely know the answer to my favorite football team...the Buffalo Bills!!! =) When you grow up in WNY you have to love them!

Seraphina gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from my direction. Excellent, gorgeous, underused name. And so much better than things like Bronx, Apple, Audio, and the other weird things celebrity babies usually get stuck with. Loving it.

how fun! I'd love to enter! My favorite football team first and foremost is the New England Patriots because they are my home team. My second favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys. Out of the blue one day when I was 7 or 8 I decided I LOVED the Cowboys and insisted that my parents buy me a cowdoys starter jacket...which I wore with hot pink snowpants :)

We're Bengals fans all the way in my house. We take great pride in our team that was one of the first teams to ever have a TIE on their record. But at least we beat the Browns! :)

And no, we don;t care one bit that half of our team is either going to jail or getting out of jail. That's the charm of Cincy baby! :)

New England Patriots. Because our quarterback (when not out with a knee injury) picks a Classy Celebrity who doesn't curse the team :)

LOVING the new blog layout by the way. I feel like I hear waves crashing in the background (does this suck up comment give me another entry) k thnx ;)

I was very excited to see the baby name!

Like yourself, I am more of a college football gal (OSU Buckeyes!! Growing up in OH how can you not love them!). I do enjoy Superbowl Sunday though and always watch the game. If I had to pick a NFL team--NY Giants.

I was pretty tickled
when I heard the baby
name the other name.
I like it. Mostly because
well...I am completely
bias. Heck, I like the
name Suri for cryin' out
loud!

Giveaways are funnn! We're
a Denver Bronco household.
(even if we do live in Philadelphia
and the whole city is bleeding
green for the Eagles right about
now) Pshh.

That's an interesting name for the kid, but not the strangest. I'll pass on entering this contest, as I'm not really into football at all. Olympics, yes, football, no. :-P

Um, I am not into NFL, either, but I love college football - go MU Tigers!

But my NFL team would be the Dallas Cowboys because I love Texas, and I love cowboys. But I have no clue if the team is any good anymore.

p.s. Love your new blog layout!
p.p.s. My word verification was WHOSSUPS, and it made me laugh.

GO EAGLES!!! BLEED GREEN!!!!

ahem.

obviously, my favorite team ever in the world is the eagles. my dad has held season tickets my whole life. i've had some of my best memories in veterans stadium and now the linc. i live about an hour and a half from philly, and south jersey is eagles country. i absolutely can NOT BELIEVE philly sports are having such an amazing year. first the phillies, now the eagles and hopefully next? the flyers. :) life is GOOD.

okay, now that i got that off of my chest, i almost flipped when i found out ben & jen named their baby seraphina. i love it.

xoxo

Okay, I am really not all that into football, but I do watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and the snacks. Although I tend to get all wrapped up in rooting for the underdog before it is all said or done. Or whoever has the better colored uniforms. Speaking of underdogs, my team is the Lions. I mean, really, is there any other team out there that could be under them at this point?

I will always be Forty Niners faithful since they are my home team...now if they could just play better

I am a very loyal Hokie and Virginia Tech football will ALWAYS be my jam.

Always.

I do sort of like the name Seraphina. It has a nice ring to it, but is the two middle names thing necessary?

My team is the Eagles!!!!!! Bleeding green, baby. Being from Philadelphia, you really have no other choice. My entire extended family is obsessed and every baby girl has an eagles cheerleading uniform, and every dog has an eagles outfit...It's a little crazy.

I like the Texas Longhorns (because their eyes are upon me all my live-long days) and the Tennessee Titans (because there are so many former Texas players on the team it almost seems like some sort of Texas football grad school).

Hook 'em!

Cleveland Browns baby!!! because i like to torture myself : )

New England Patriots!! Because when our superstar QB is injured, our backup starts with little experience and kicks ass and brings us to 11-5, at which point the playoffs are stolen from us. So proud of this team though. Go Pats!

The Florida Gators are THE BEST because they're National Champs! And they have cutie Tim Tebow as QB!

I'm a Patriots fan. It's complicated - I deny that my city has a football team (0-16 will do that to you), I've followed Tom Brady since College (go blue) and he's hot. It's a win win win!

GO DALLAS! ROMO=yummy! ;)

I'm a fan of anyone but the Dallas Cowboys, well or the Wyoming Cowboys. So really just no Cowboys :) Which means I'm a traitor since my hub is from Dallas, and my whole family went to the U of Wyoming. Fun huh :)

I'm a Chargers fan because I love to subject myself to knowing that there's always next year. Our powder blue jerseys are also one of the best uniforms out there.

On a side note, and though this is not part of the question asked, my least favorite team is the TOSU Buckeyes because they are extremely overrated on a yearly basis. It could also do with the fact that I love egging my Buckeye-loving friends on.

My favorite college team is the Miami Hurricanes. I am biased because I am an alumni.

Anonymous said...

Da Bears. Why? Well, because I grew up in Chicago. Plus they always had a cool skit on SNL. And who could forget that rockin' (awful) Super Bowl shuffle? lol

The raiders. They are my hubbys favorite team so i am always happy when they win.
I do think they are a great team and love watching them win

Fave team: Alabama's college team - Crimson Tide! I grew up in the south where SEC football is like, the most important thing in the world and that was my family's team! Otherwise, I love the MN Golden Gophers because that's my alma mater. I just love college football more than pro!

USC Trojan football!!!

My reason...? I'm a USC alumni, I've worked at USC for 6 years, and they are the best college football team. Oh, and coach Pete Carroll is hot.

NY Giants....because Bill Parcells was awesome and LT was a lunatic.

Andréa said...

I'm pretty sure you KNOW who my team is by now... I mean you do read my blog... I think ;-) But as you wish... my team is the NY Giants. Simply because my dad was THE biggest NY Giants fan and then we got transfered to VA from NY, and every sunday (ESPECIALLY when the Giants were playing the redskins) he used to parade me around the neighborhood in a NY Giants jersey, helmet and pants, so all the neighbors knew where we stood. I think, I take that passion to a new leven, sharing my obsession (scratch that) passion with the blogsphere :)

The Buffalo Bills, obviously! (Even if I am never able to watch them play a game because the Browns and Bengals always take over the stations in Columbus.) Some of my fave childhood memories are from those 4 Bills Superbowl parties... even if they didnt win.
