Today's post sponsored by the fine folks at IKEA.

I love IKEA, plain and simple. Granted I have no real need for IKEA and its fantastic furniture right now since I'm currently shacking up at home, with the rents, in the same bedroom I've had for thirteen years...but that's besides the point, a girl can dream can't she?

For example, if I had a place of my own I would want to own this:

and this

and this

and so many other things that I can't find online right now and don't have the patience to sort through and post. Ah. Basically I just want to live in their bedrooms and living rooms and pretend that I have that kind of style.

And one man from New York apparently has the same idea since he's recently moved in to an IKEA. Mark Malkoff is currently residing in the New Jersey IKEA while his apartment is being renovated! How awesome would that be?! Haha. He's even having a camera crew follow him around and document his bizarre adventure. Amazing. Granted none of the TVs or bathroom facilities actually work so I don't think I'd really be up for actually staying in the store. Maybe just transplant their design rooms to my imaginary apartment and I'd be set...ah to dream.

I have loved IKEA since I was 7 and lived in Germany.

Those ball pits? They're evil traps to get customers hooked at an early age. It works, too, because as a child you have this wonderful opinion of IKEA and it just sort've sticks.

I used to like Ikea when I was in Europe, but I have out grown it now. Although I do love the cube bookcase, I have it in black....

Living in Ikea?! That's sort of amazing and ridiculous at the same time.

Mmmm IKEA...I wish we had one here. They're building one in Cincinnati, which is exciting, because it takes FOREVER for shipping to arrive.

omg i've mentioned it a couple times on my blog, but my dream is to someday have a "boutique room" where you buy all the shelving from ikea to display your clothes out like a store, not a closet! hahaha until then..

I would totally live there... just give me a computer with wireless internet... I won't need the TV.

I love ikea, but every time I go there it makes me want to get my own apartment.

Haha that's awesome someone moved in. I love Ikea when it's not crazy busy (which is not often). And when I don't get lost (which is also not often). I reallyyyy like that cube bookcase though. I am obsessed with book cases!

That is too funny! Seriously I LOVE IKEA! I have the room, just not the money, to purchase anything new for the house. I will sit here and dream with you :)

IKEA has fun stuff - it's great to roam around and find neat things for your house - I couldn't imaginr living there wihtout *facilities*, however, there's no arguing over the decor!

I love IKEA since I need all the space savers I can get my hands on, however I had one of their tables (looks like that photo) and it was so unsteady and wobbly that we sold it on Craigslist
