Wednesday: Went to the Autry National Center of the American West with Matt and his brother Brad. It was actually really interesting to learn about the West and see movie clips and all sorts of fun facts from the West. Matt and Brad even managed to go to jail while we were there.
All around a very educational and lovely afternoon.
Thursday: New Year's Eve! In the afternoon Matt and I joined my dad and his army buddies in a convoy ride down Colorado Blvd (aka the Rose Parade route). As always it was like we had our own mini parade and it was all sorts of fun.
After the ride Matt and I headed over to his mom's house to relax and get ready for our party! And before we knew it the party started and New Year's Eve was in full effect with friends and some family and a whole lot of awesome.
ready for a partay!
I have a feeling 2010 will be a great year for us. :)
sisters lookng good for New Year's.
haha love this pic of my sister.
Matt and Gianni ready for the New Year.
Yeah I think Brad's just a weee
bit taller than Court.
Who knew Mike's hands were so tan? haha.
me and Gianni rocking some sweet glasses.
Pretty much it was a great party. I drank too much champagne, wore my tiara all night, wore the glasses every now and then, laughed so hard I cried, talked to lots of friends and couldn't have been more excited to ring in 2010.
Friday: Happy New Year! Missed all of the parade and made my way to my parent's house for chili, clam chowder and all sorts of deliciousness and the Rose Bowl game and quality time with the fam and my godmother and her girls. Basically it was all sorts of a loverly relaxing day.
Saturday: My day pretty much consisted of seeing NINE, which I actually really liked...like a lot...and I may or may not now have an itsy bitsy crush on Daniel Day Lewis, haha...with my mom and aunts. The rest of the day was pretty much a whole lot of nothing and relaxing and TV watching and wonderousness.
Sunday: Went to a birthday brunch for Matt's dad with my parents and Matt and his brothers and Michaela and her dad and it was quite lovely. Then I pretty much spent the rest of the day wishing I wasn't going back to work today, haha.
And that my friends is part of the week I had. I wish I could be on vacation like that more often because my goodness it was all sorts of glorious.
How was your week? Please catch me up if I missed anything since I have yet to look at my reader and I'm a wee bit afraid to, haha. But I hope it was lovely and 2010 is already looking up for you!
happy monday!
