Fuzzy brain thoughts.

I know, I know I probably should write a real post today or at least pictures of the apartment, but clearly that isn't happenin yet, so instead I leave you with a look inside my brain (not literally of course, that would hurt):
  • I wonder if my neighbors can hear me blasting girly music while I get ready in the morning...

  • Do they sing along?

  • Will all 300 of Matt and my DVDs fit in our new holders? I seriously hope so because it will look awesome.

  • Where can I get a cute green table cloth for our fabulous dining room table?

  • I smell bagels....mmmmmm....did you get one for me?

  • I'm seeing Wicked again on Sunday! I should probably listen to the soundtrack again and again just to prep. Ah! Love Love Love.

  • There is a library within walking distance of my apartment and I love it, I will keep reading even when I get cable...I will, I will.

  • I've had six meetings this week so far. Just call me the queen of meetings.

  • Does North Dakota really exist? Who actually lives there?
(ps. I know, I know it's a real place, it's just a fabulous joke I had going for a long time, Homer Simpson even agreed with me, haha)

  • I like the dress, but why the shoes Solange, why?

  • Queen's "Somebody to Love" is awesome. Seriously awesome. Hello repeat button.

  • Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are one of the cutest couples ever. Viva Noah and Allie!

  • Why is it so effing cold in my office? Seriously people we are not in the arctic.

  • Almost the weekend, it's almost the weekend, come on now...

Yeah there's a lot going on my brain today. And what's on your mind?

happy thursday!

I'll have a Zima with my Hollywood news.

So really, I take a break for one day and all of Hollywood breaks loose. I kid, I kid, Hollywood is always full of random ass stories of pregnant ladies, bad music videos and every now and then some real inspiration. So let's go shall we?
  • So apparently I feel the need to talk about a baby or a pregnant lady every week, and this week is no different. However the two ladies knocked up this week are way out my ordinary realm of discussion. And who are these fine females...none other than the Queen of Porn herself Miss Jenna Jameson and the third Mrs. Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller. I don't know why but I find both of these pregnancies hilarious. Jenna Jameson...a mom? What is she going to teach her kid? How to pole dance and get naked? Haha. And Brooke, oh Brooke. You've only been with Charlie a couple months and you already want his baby? I don't know if that screams Money money or just money, haha. But hey maybe I'm being mean and both these ladies will be fabulous moms...ummmmaybe?

  • In other celeb mom news, the uber fabulous Gwen Stefani gave birth to another baby boy last week named Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale. Now just let that one sit with ya. Take that in. Do you not think of the glorious Zima when you hear that? However plenty of people have explained and theorized the reasons behind the name, so pick for yourself the meaning of little Zuma's name. At least he's part of one of the most fabulous families of music awesomeness.

  • Now if you have eaten lunch recently I advise that you don't watch this video. I'm not even going to embed it here it's too horrendous. It's scary. It's ugly. It's gross. It's gag enducing. It's Heidi Montag's new music video. Ahhhhhrun for the hills! (haha, get it?). Well I guess it's better than her first attempt at a video, "Higher", but it's still awful. So don't blame me if you hurl up your lunch after that, and don't say I didn't warn you.

  • In other Hills news....um. I don't know. I haven't seen this week's episode!!! The blashpemy! But I do know that the Hills stars make more money that I do and that Whitney is in NYC with some hottie schmottie. How about the Greek premiere? Ah! Missed that one too! Frick! Ah so is life with no internet or cable yet...hopefully this weekend Matt and I will get it, I can only go so long. At least I have plenty of movies to keep me company.

  • In other reality TV news, apparently American Idol wanted to spice things up for next season and have added another female judge to the panel. I seriously hope this woman is as crazy as Paula then maybe I'd start watching it again, haha. Another reality show that is making it's way back is Dancing with Stars who officially announced the new lineup for next season. You can check it all out here. Now I don't really watch the show and only voted once when Mel B was on because clearly I heart her but I may have to watch just for Misty May-Treanor. Yay volleyball!

  • Moving on. Hayden Panitierre stole my birthday outfit idea. I'm not even kidding.

I totally plan on rocking shimmery gold stuff and a ridiculous hat on my birthday next year, I mean who wouldn't? haha.

  • Okay so I also posted Hayden in her bathing suit to appease some of my male readers because I am totally about to go uber girly on you and swoon one of my favorites....Joshua Jackson. Seriously, I heart him. HEART him. And apparently last night was some soiree for Fringe and he looked just dashing and on top of that gave one uber cute interview with InStyle, love.

Isn't he just so freaking cute? Yeah I thought so too. :)

  • So I'm reading The Notebook and I'm almost done and I can't decide if I like it better than the movie or not. I don't know, there are definitely some diferences and there are scenes the movie explores more than the book and vice versa but I can't make up my mind just yet. I'm still up in the air about the Devil Wears Prada versus the book too. Have you guys read and seen both books and movies? What do you think?

  • I don't usually get political on here because I'm not really a political person. But it's almost impossible to not be interested in this year's election and what have you. And on that note I just wanted to share the link to Michelle Obama's speech at the Democratic Convention because seriously if she was to become First Lady, I think I'd be okay with that. Great speech Michelle!

And that's all I got today folks. Anythig else happenin I missed in the Hollywoodsphere?

happy wednesday!

Annnnd break!

So I know today would usually be the Hollywood round up day but seriously, I am tired. And not having internet at home yet is making it hard to work on my posts especially when I have so much to do at work. Oy vey.

So today I am taking a little break, I'm pretty sure Hollywood will still be wild and crazy come tomorrow.

For now I will be dreaming of taking a nap and working my little tushy off all day long. Woo woo.

Stay fabulous blogland.

happy tuesday!

The keys to grownupness.

What a weekend! As you all know I moved this weekend and man was it crazy. I don't even know how to do it all justice. That and I'm exhausted and still can't really put a whole bunch of words together coherently. So instead I bring you bullet points, woo!

Friday:
  • Matt and I went to sign the lease and got the keys! Woo!
  • Matt went to his place to pack up, I went to my parent's for dinner (yummy free food).
  • Mom and I hit up the mecca of moving, Tarjay for some cleaning essentials for the place.
  • We cleaned a bit, organized a bit, got the place ready for the big day.
  • And of course we took a picture because I couldn't stop smiling :

  • Matt and some friends came over with a big load of his stuff.
  • Moving party, moving party!
  • All go home for lots of sleep before the big day!
Saturday:
  • The Big Day!
  • Wake up early(ish). Finished up packing my room up, took the pictures off the wall.
  • Started loading up my car and my dad's truck. Best part of the day, my dad asks me if I have it all loaded up, I said "yes" confidently. Then he goes "What about the clothes in your closet?". "Oh yeah, that'd be good to have", haha. Good thing my mom's car was empty, hello new closet.
  • Moving became a family affair, my parents, brothers and I all headed to the new place and unload all my stuff. Matt and the guys showed up a little later with all the big stuff.
  • The moms were awesome and cleaned all our dishes and put them away for us while the boys all brought in the big stuff. It was quite the team effort.
  • A couple hours later the moving crew left (except the family team) and my dad went to get us all In-N-Out (heaven!)...seriously it was amazing. We worked up quite the appetite moving.
  • My aunt showed up later with muffins (gotta love the family close by) which was awesome.
  • Later after everyone was gone except me I turned up the Britney full blast and was dancing around the place with a lei on my head and cleaning up, it was awesome.
  • Mid dance party my aunt, uncle and cousins showed up with a housewarming gift, so incredibly sweet. Got to give them the tour and show them around the unmade place.
  • Matt came back later and we hung out a bit, enjoyed using the word "roomie" and then we were off again and went out to dinner.
  • After dinner came back hung out with my sis and her friends, watched some TV and had some drinks, it was loverly.
  • Finally called it a night and went to bed in the newwwwwwww place, woo.
Sunday:
  • Yesterday felt almost as busy as Saturday, Matt went to IKEA with his mom and I hit up Tarjay, Bed Bath and Beyond and Wallmart with my mom. It felt like I shopped all day long and still didn't get everything we need, haha.
  • I got home way before Matt since he had his Fantasy draft last night, so I indulged in way too many girly movies over the day. I'm not even kidding. In the morning I watched Mrs. Doubtfire then later I watched The Notebook with Megan. After Megan left I went and grabbed some food at VONS then came back to be uber girly and watched Crossroads (oh yes the Britney movie, I own it and I am not ashamed, haha). And then I ended the night with Bend it Like Beckham. Seriously I'm a movie fiend. That and we don't have cable yet so I'm pretty much stuck with DVDs, haha.
  • Matt came home mid Beckham and relaxed for a bit with me until the urge to build some DVD towers kicked in, haha.
All in all it was a good weekend, a tiring one, but good nonetheless. Basically we have the best friends and family ever. So a big thanks to them for helping so much, otherwise I don't think we could have done it all. We still have a lot to do to make it feel totally like 'home' but we're making progress one day at a time. And I know I said I would include some pictures but I want to wait til things are a little more permanent looking.

But here's one to end the post on, the new roomies proudly displaying our key, woo!

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

The Loves and No Loves of moving.

Tonight is the beginning of the rest of my life. Haha. Okay not so much. I just wanted to sound uber serious. But no really, Matt and I get to sign the lease and get the keys to our apartment Tonight! Tonight! As in hours from now. As in ohmyeffingeeee we're moving tomorrow!

And with that I was going to use today to write some uber sappy post about moving out of my parent's house and growing up and starting a new chapter in my life, but let's be honest, I'm not too sappy. Okay scratch that I cry at commercials for pete's sake, yes I am sappy. But do I write sappily? Not so much.

So instead I present you with my love/not to love lists of moving out.

My parent's house:
Love: Rent free, free food, free laundry, free car washes (thank you little brothers).
Not to love: Ummmnothing about free can be wrong.

Love: Little brothers to play board games with, watch cartoons with and keep me young.
Not to love: The same little devils that bug the ever living crap out of me.

Love: Coming home to dinner waiting for me.
Not to love: I get home so late my family never waits to eat with me.

Love: A big nice bathroom with a hot shower and a fantabulous medicine cabinet that fits all of my stuff.
Not to love: Sharing it with little brothers who constantly leave toothpaste on the sink or clothes on the floor, oy.

Love: Our ginormous television.
Not to love: The lameo DVD player that always skips on movies.

Love: Watching TV with the 'rents. (surprise, surprise, I watch TV, haha)
Not to love: Watching the Hills with my dad and explaining why I love the show.

Love: Asking my mom or sister for clothing advice.
Not to love: I mean what's not to love about that? Everyone needs a second opinion from other females.

Now obviously there are tons of things to love (and not love) about living at home with a big family, but those are just a few.
Now for my next adventure of not only moving out of my parent's house but moving in with a boy, here's what I think....

A la apartment with Matt:
What I'm going to Love: Living with Matt! I mean really I practically live with him now and now I won't have to schlep my stuff over to his parent's house every other night, woot.
What I probably won't Love as much: I don't know really. Maybe just the future squabble that will happen when I want to watch Greek and he'd rather shoot himself than watch such ridiculousness, haha.

What I'm going to Love: Grocery shopping!! Seriously it's wrong how excited I am to go grocery shopping again. I haven't food shopped for myself in two years and I can't wait to do it again. Wheat Chex and Bagel Bites here I come! :)
What I probably won't Love as much: Paying for said groceries. Damn. Why can't they just pay for themselves, sheesh.

What I'm going to Love: Decorating! Even if I seemed nervous about it I know that it will turn out wonderfully and together Matt and I will find our inner Martha's to create a masterpiece of awesomeness, haha.
What I probably won't Love as much: How much I'll second guess myself and how angry my wallet will be with me.

What I'm going to Love: Sharing a bathroom with one boy, a boy that is twenty four and not twelve or eleven.
What I probably won't Love as much: Matt leaving the seat up? Granted I don't even know if he does that now. And I really won't mind that much, I just have to put it down. Compromises people, compromises.

What I'm going to Love: Having all of our DVDs out on display! Yes people, it's the little things and my DVDs have been living in a box under my bed and I can't wait for them to shine in all their movie glory, woo.
What I probably won't Love as much
: Finding a place to put them all (we probably have 200 between us) without overdoing it.

What I'm going to Love: Meeting our neighbors! Don't ask me why, but having new neighbors just seems so cool. Hopefully they can handle us, haha.
What I probably won't Love as much:
If they're crabby people that don't smile or say "hi." That is just not acceptable (granted it would make for good blog material, I kid, I kid, haha).

What I'm going to Love: Having people over! Seriously I can't wait to have friends over again. It just never really happened as much while I was living at home. You can't really pre party at a house with twelve year olds present, haha. And hell just to have friends over to watch TV without the interruption of five other people, oh yes it will be awesome.
What I probably won't Love as much
: I don't know what I can't love about that!

Same as above I know there are probably so many things I am going to love and things I won't love when I move out, but these are just a few of the big ones that are on my mind.

What I'm trying to say here (without bringing on total sap) is thank you. Thank you family for not kicking me out when I got back from college two years ago and being totally awesome. And of course I love you. Love Love Love, basically lots of love. And as much as I whine and rant you truly are the most chaotic yet fantastic family ever.

and just think we're only five minutes away...so laundry next weekend? :)

I mean really how can you say no to these faces?? :)

happy weeekend all!

Yes I am addicted to TV.

On Monday Dana posted what shows she's looking forward to watching in the Fall and you know what? I want to share my excitement as well.

Brace yourselves I watch a lot of television, haha.

Mondays:

Now I started watching this show late in the game and caught up on all past episodes online and finally started watching it when it was on TV and you know what? I'm in love. No really, this show I love it. It's so happy and hilarious and I am always entertained. The season left off with a lot in limbo, Ted proposed to his gf, Barney is in love with Robyn but no one knows it and oh so much more goodness. Oh and for fun here are three sites to check out from the show: Ted Mosby is a Jerk, Lily and Marshall's Wedding, and Barney's Blog. All of them are so legen.....wait for it......dary!

I honestly couldn't tell you what happened in the finale besides the fact that someone got shot and someone showed up and some new hero appeared. I really really hope they run a recap episode before the premiere. But I can't wait for it anyways, it's Heroes, it's gotta be good.

Well seeing as to how this dramaful show started already and I already posted about I don't have a whole to say. Except I do hope we see more Whitney and way less Heidi and Spencer, good god they make me want to vomit.

Tuesdays:

This show has Joshua Jackson in it, do I need to say anything else????? As you all know I was taunted by Grey's and then the freaking writer's strike happened and a TV return for my favorite man on the Creek just didn't happen...until now! I really couldn't tell you what this show is about...apparently it's like Twilight Zone meets CSI: or something like that, I don't know, but obviously I'll be watching. Obviously.

Okay this show is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. It's so bad it's awesome. The season left off with Casey and Ashleigh skinny dipping in the ocean on Spring Break and some guys taking their clothes...awesome. And Cappie had to comfort the queen bitch Rebecca because her dad was in some scandal or whatever, eh who cares. I just hope the Rusty gets some more screen time this season and that Casey finally gets her act together in the guy scene, come on now.

One of my all time favorite shows. Olivia and Elliot are one hell of a duo and I just heart them. The season ended with them being fine (I believe) whereas Novak was suspended (ie. Diane Neal is leaving the show sadly) and Detective Lake shot a guy and was arrested. Crazy pants, simply crazy pants. I have no idea where the show will resume except for the fact that Luke Perry is guest starring

Wednesdays:

Fierce! I love this show so much it's ridiculous. It's so addicting and easy to watch, looooove. I even love Ty Ty in all her craziness. I think Julie summed it up best. And even better there is a transvestite on the show this cycle. Should make for quite the show.

Talk about a season finale. This show had one of the best around this season! For anyone that didn't watch just know that someone died at the end of the show and we don't know who. Everyone got into black suburbans separately and then one blew up! I think I jumped out of my seat screaming. I can't wait for it to come back, ah, please don't kill any of my faves!

Thursdays:

So shall I tell you how they were filming Grey's down the street from my job two days ago?!?! Yeah they were. And did I get to see anyone? No. I was hoping I would have a McSteamy run in or Cristina Yang, but sadly no. Maybe next time? But anyhoo back to the show. I am such a Grey's nut. I love it. I own every season and have watched every episode. I love Cristina and Meredith is finally getting on my good side again. And McSteamy just needs to find a woman that's not a closet lesbian. And maybe we'll see some romance budding between George and little Gray? Maybe. Oh so many things can happen, I can't wait til the season premiere! Woo!

Ever since the people at ABC decided to put Grey's at the same hour as CSI: I've sort of been slacking on my favorite Vegas folks. But I still watch it whenever I can. And sadly I missed the finale so I don't really know what to expect in the opener besides the fact that Warrick may or may not be returning despite being shot and left for dead from what I hear? And Grissom is leaving half way through the season and I don't know how I feel about that. But it's all very interesting, veeeeery interesting.

I love this show. The suspense. The missing people. The drama in the bureau. Ah. So good. Now can I tell you what happened in the finale? Ummmmmno. I'm a bad fan and I really hope they replay it before the season premiere. But really you should watch the show, it's awesome.

Sundays:

Hands down my favorite season finale of all of my shows. They finally wrapped up everything that had been culminating throughout the season with Catherine and everyone else and man was it good. And even better the show fast forwarded five years into the future and seriously it was genius and definitely added some new spice to the show. Everyone's future was so incredibly different and I can't wait to see how it plays out this season....awesome.

And to add. How the heck did I forget CSI: NY, Brothers and Sisters and Scrubs. I most likely be watching those too, haha.

And that my friends are my shows. I can't wait til they come back and I will actually have DVR and cable by then and can maybe have a life along with TV watching and it will be fabulous, haha. Woo.

And what shows are you looking forward to coming back?

happy thursday!

Hollywood with a side of drama.

For today's Hollywood recap I bring you some music, some sad news, some drama news, some baby pics and all around randomness. Enjoy!
  • So last night Matt and I went to the Dave Matthews Band concert with Matt at Staples Center and it was a great show. However the show was overshadowed by a very sad event, the band's amazing saxaphone player LeRoi Moore passed away earlier in the day. I honestly don't know how the band kept on playing, but playing they did, for two and a half hours and dedicated every song to LeRoi. Everyone in the band was dressed in black and they played every one of his favorites and Dave added in small anecdotes about him throughout the show and it was just so touching. I think everyone at Staples cried at some point, hell I got teary. LeRoi you were one amazing musician and you will definitely be missed:

  • In happier news, the Hills is back. Granted I haven't quite decided if that's a good thing yet since I may break my television by the end of the season. Seriously this show drives me nuts. First of all Lo, stop being a bitch. I mean really. I know Audrina has some odd friend but no need to be so mean about it. Secondly, Whitney I love you. Always and forever you are my favorite. Thirdly, Doug you are cute but really don't act dumb, you know what Lauren's been up to the past couple years, ummm she's been everywhere dumass. Fourthly, Heidi don't say you don't want your family all up in your relationship business because all they have to do is flip on the TV or open up a magazine, honestly, don't be so dumb. Fifthly, Holly your hair is not cute and you are a worse actor than Heidi and that's hard to beat. Sixthly, I love this show. For a very detailed account of the show check out Angela's recap, she covers it much better than I do.

  • Babies, Babies, Babies. They're everywhere! For starters, I think the Hanson brothers are trying to take over the world. I am not even kidding. Taylor Hanson and his wife are expecting their fourth child, fourth child people! That will bring the total amount of Hanson offspring to seven! What is going on? Seriously. I wonder if they sing "MmmmBop" to put their kids to bed....that would be awesome.

  • Another cute baby who we haven't seen in a while is little Matilda Ledger. She just looks precious riding her scooter with mama Michelle (yeah I totally wrote Jen first, oh I miss Dawson's Creek) looking on:

Even more precious is that Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Collin Farrell have all donated their paychecks for finishing Heath's last movie to little Matilda. Gotta love good guys with good intentions.

  • And one last bebe to round out the day, little Suri was caught having some in depth conversation with her doll yesterday. Cuuuuute. Wonder what they were talking about?

  • Update to the baby department: My faves Jen and Ben have officially confirmed bebe numero dos is on the way! Not like there was any way to hide it. But still, yay! Violet will be the best big sistah ever. :)

  • Okay moving on from all the cute baby talk...how about sports, that's pretty non-girly right? So in case you've been living in a hole Michael Phelps has officially become the most decorated Olympian around. And they already have a magazine cover to prove it:

Congrats Michael! You've made the US proud. Now no more DUI's okay?

  • And of course I have the WTF news of the day....Apparently Hasbro felt the need to catch up with the times and they updated the most amazing board game ever, Clue. Why would they do this? I don't know. I guess the mysterious people in the game of Clue needed first names, super powers and scandalous backgrounds. I don't know. I'm not buying it.

  • And one more WTF story of the day. Some freaking weirdo from Puerto Rico died recently and requested that he not be put in his coffin at the memorial, but rather standing up straight for the ceremony. And they did it! Ahhhhcreeeeepy. I'm not posting a picture of it but feel free to check out the whackness here, wow.

And that's all the news I got today folks. Anything crazy I missed out there? Leave it in the comments.

happy wednesday!

Swissness.

So usually today would be Hollywood recap but obviously since I was gone yesterday the recap just has to wait. And did you know The Hills is back? Oh. Man. So yeah all that good stuff coming at ya manana. In the meantime, I know you're all just so anxious to hear how my Swiss adventures went and I'm not one to hold back and there are plenty of pictures to go around. But first, gratzi to Mr. rS27 for taking over yesterday I was laughing the whole time and really who doesn't love Cool Runnings?

Anyhoodles. So I go up to Northern California every year for a big Swiss Picnic with my huge extended family for a grand ole time. This year I brought Matt up to meet the gang and man was it a great time. Here I have some pictures (of course) so check, check, check it out:
Matt was such a fabulous driver

my sister and cousin enjoyed their spots in the back

all the boys around the bonfire

seriously the kids just keep gettin cuter

the cousins that drink together, stay together, haha

brotherly looove

right back at ya Kourt

I just loooooove this bebe, he's so precious!

so attractive I know

candid shot by the sis, I love it

my family is full of great thinkers

and chicken dancers

I'm pretty stellar if I do say so myself

we've got some weird ones in the fam, haha

I'm all about the flower power

ta da! the family's even bigger than last time.
I believe there were 65 of us this year, woo!

And that my friends, is a weekend with my ginormous family. If you couldn't tell from the pictures, it was a great time.
Some key moments to note:
- Apparently birds on the road want to commit suicide. We had at least five birds dive bomb in front of our car on the road. Luckily Matt never hit any of them but man did they come close.
- We saw a car that had a bobble hand in the back window of their car. It was so weird. We also saw a guy shaving as he drove, very impressive.
- I am and will never be 21 again. My liver reminded me of this fact after I passed out at 11 on Saturday after too much wine. Tisk tisk.
- It also reminded me to watch where I walk when it's dark and I've been drinking. I definitely fell off some stairs, good job Katelin.
- I can't get enough of cute babies. No really there are so many cute kids in my family it just makes my heart say oooh and awwwww. I love it.
- My stomach has no limits on a weekend with the big fam. I ate more than I knew I could and man was it good and totally worth it. I'll go to the gym tomorrow, haha.
- There are some big people in my family, all of whom asked if Matt was a good guy and if he wasn't they'd change it, haha. Needless to say there was no questioning and the fam loved him.

Other than that it was just the weekend I hoped for, family time and lots of fun, woo!

and how was your weekend?

happy tuesday!
