Reasons why my weekend rocked.

  • Double date Friday night to the theater (man that sounds fancy) We saw Don Juan, pretty funny but the second half I'm convinced Moliere was on an acid trip.
  • Got my hair chopped off. My summer cut is officially here...which means Summer weather needs to come back, no more of this cloudy business.

  • I finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and man I almost cried. Khaled Hosseini seriously needs to write a book a month just for me. It was amazing. I don't even know how to describe it, but I was so captivated and moved by this story, I may even almost like it better than Kiterunner, just maaaaybe.

  • I got to be lazy and lovely and hang out with Matt Saturday afternoon and watch random movies (I heart cable).

  • Fabulous Mediterranean food, and I mean fabulous.

  • Seeing lots of high school friends for a birthday party, love it.
    Matt and Steve

    Steve, Amin and Ian

Amin and Matt with the amazing fruitalicious hookah

Me and the birthday boy, Omar, woo!

  • I almost won a game of pool, almost.

  • Family from Arizona was in town and we had a delicious brunch (that I didn't have to pay for, always a plus)

  • I watched part of Dan in Real Life with my mom (I fell asleep half way through because I was so dang tired) and basically slept all afternoon, only waking up to watch random shows on TV.

  • Had some quality family and boyfriend time playing Last Word. Even though my dad didn't understand it, my little brother apparently thinks a baseball is flat and it was all around chaos, I still had fun.

  • Got to watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and I barely cried, it must be a record.

  • I played the Sims 2. It's been months. And oh how I missed it.

  • And then I got to sleep some more, oh heaven.
So basically I wish all weekends could be like this one, just add some more sun and we're set. What did you do this weekend?

happy monday!

Breckin Meyer was my BFF.

So I mentioned a couple days ago (okay not a couple, Wednesday, but a couple sounded better...moving on) I mentioned that Breckin Meyer and I became BFFs. And from that small snippet of reference several of you have commented (and by several I mean two, but still that totally legitimizes this random post) and asked about this story. So in leu of today being Friday and me not having a ton to talk about (well I do have a pretty kick ass weekend planned but I may just save that post for Monday...moving on again) I figured this would be the perfect time to share one of my best celebrity run in stories, ever.

The year was 2001 and my mom had (actually still has) one of the coolest friends in the world. She somehow manages to get tickets to pre-screenings of movies and sometimes even premieres. Well this time around she just managed to finagle tickets to see the premiere of Kate and Leopold. Yes. I know. I didn't say that the movies were good, but really, what did I care, I go to premieres to see celebrities...obviously. So my dad, me, and my movie partner in crime, Courtney show up at the premiere and get to stand right behind the interviewing people (more specifically some Australian network...this is important later, I swear). So basically we were in heaven. And finally, the stars start streaming in. I don't remember them all but I know Bill Paxton was there, Scott Patterson of Gilmore Girls fame (who looks sooo much like Jason Lee in real life it's crazy), Meg Ryan, Sting, Hugh Jackman and Breckin Meyer.

So I know this story is about me and Breckin but really it started with Hugh. Courtney and I were so excited when we realized we were behind the Australian station because that meant that Hugh would talk to them longer, he's an Aussie, duh. So as he talked to them we made everyone around us shut up so we could listen. And once he was done talking I for some reason yelled "HI!" and he said "hi" back. And then there was silence. That's about all I could get out. Shame I know. Because he actually looked like he would have had a conversation with me. Oh well. I was okay. And then there was Breckin. To be honest I didn't even know his real name when I saw him, I just knew he was the cute skater boy from Clueless, haha (luckily Court is much better with names than I am). So Breckin steps up to be interviewed and after he's done again I yell "HEY!" and he responds "Hi, how's it going?", ah, heaven, more than one word! So then that was that and we started heading towards the theater, and lo and behold who did we run into? Breckin! So me being the oh so cool person that I was walked up to him with Courtney and asked for his autograph. And oh man he was so nice! We chatted for a bit and made some small talk before we all had to rush to get into the theater.

So basically Breckin was awesome and I had just seen Hugh Jackman, I was on cloud nine. But it gets better. After actually getting to watch the movie from the verrrry front row of the theater and having a horrible watching experience we all started to head out. I had to run up to the bathroom and I purposely took my time as to be able to linger in the theater more and possibly have another star run-in (I know, I'm genius). So once I came down I saw this girl with a ridiculous shawl wrap thingy that I sort of kind of liked and not being one to hold back a compliment I told her I liked it. She said thanks and as I turned around I hit Sting. Yes that Sting. I said excuse me then saw him walk over to his daughter, wearing the crazy shawl, haha.

And as I'm walking away with Court and my dad, who do we see? Breckin, again! But we were walking in different directions this time and I got out a "Bye!" and I'm pretty positive he said "bye" back. It was sweet. And man how I wish I had a camera back then. I could have had some money shots. Oh well, I will live through my autograph book (oh yes I have one, that definitely highlights my best celebrity run ins ever, ah, presh).

So there you have it. Breckin Meyer is one of the nicest celebrities I have ever met and we were BFFs for a total of three minutes, but it was awesome.

have a fabulous weekend all!

Excellent!

My brain is all sorts of jumbled mumbled bumbled today (whatever the hell that means). I'm exhausted and it's all my fault. Last night I had a work party (which was awesome and delicious and fun) and then I came home and watched Gone Baby Gone with my mom (which turned out to be really good even though I predicted one of the big twists I still recommend it) and then I stayed up to watched a taped Top Model (which didn't record the whole thing because of a stupid basketball game, but I saw all the best parts and found out today that my girl Claire is still in the game, woo) and then because I am just so obsessed with my book I stayed up and read as much as I could until my eyes hurt and I finally had to go to sleep (only 140 pages left!). Wow that was one ridiculously long sentence, you would never know I was an English minor, ha.

So in a nutshell, I am tired. But today there is lots of food involved, so of course this makes me happy. Today's lunch involved fantastic Mexican leftovers from yesterdays work party and dinner is at some schnazzy Hollywood spot with some friends and Matt, woot.

In other news, Cris from the oh so fabulous Lipstick Bitches has awarded me an "Excellent Blogger" award, schweeeeet.

I would like to take this time to thank the mass amounts of candy I've consumed lately for giving me random bursts of useful posts, Keanu and Josh for always looking good and making me happy, Violet and Suri for supplying all the cuteness necessary to make a grown man say "aw", Matt and my friends for giving me random stories to share and of course all the loyal freaders out there who basically rock my socks off, that is if I ever wore socks, but you get the point. :)

So now I get to nominate some more kick ass bloggers. And if I don't nominate you know I still love ya, next time just bribe me with Snickers, haha.

Congrats all and thanks again Cris. You all rock!

happy it's almost friday but really it's thursday!

I say Tomato, you say WTF?!?

So I was full on intending to write a good ole sincere and lengthy post about something important that I did once back in the day or how this one time Breckin Meyer and I became best friends or the one time I got my hair cut so short I looked like a little boy and I cried about it for days and days. But alas, I have nixed all of those ideas because there is seriously some strange shit floating around on the internet today that I just have to share.

Numero uno. By far the most disturbing and weirdest story of the day (that I actually saw yesterday without a picture, but ooooh it's up now) is Thomas Beatie, a transgender male, is knocked up! No really. He's pregnant. How is this possible you ask?? Well no, he's no Arnold because somehow he is legally a man although he still has his vajayjay in tact, which allowed for such a "miracle" to occur. Weird me out. Can't wait til he explains to his daughter how she was born, oh man that's a story for therapy.

Numero dos. SAY IT ISN'T SO TY TY! Apparently Ty Ty and Jay Manuel have been having some issues on the set of Top Model and aren't speaking! The problems go so far that Miss Tyra is thinking of leaving Top Model, ah, no! Hopefully OK Magazine is just making up crap and this is all a lie...don't leave Tyra! Although you're incredibly self-absorbed and overly ridiculous I love you and I love Top Model. Don't leave! Ooooor if you do, I like Michael K's idea, bring in Naomi Campbell, she's the next craziest bitch around, haha.

Numero tres. Leave Keanu alone. Some dumb ass stalkeratzi is suing Keanu for hitting him with his car last year while he was trying to take pictures of him. Ummm. Moral of the story: Don't stand in front of someone's car while they're trying to leave. And don't mess with Keanu. Obviously.

Numero cuatro. Apparently Lars and the Real Girl wasn't all that far fetched....a guy in Georgia who's name is Zoltan (ummmsame name as the guy in Dude Where's My Car?...weird) has built himself a robot wife. He even has a "how to" page of robot girlfriend making. I really wish I had something more clever to add here, but I just think this story is so ridiculous and entertaining all on it's own, love it.

Numero cinco. And today's last tidbit of WTF news is apparently the newest fad hitting the internet (actually I have no idea, it seems ridiculous). Now I'm an avid fan of the Sims and I've heard of Second Life and all that jazz, but apparently those are games of the past, because everyone is striving to be Miss Bimbo. I am not even kidding. My coworker just sent me this site and wow...here's a brief snippit:
Enter the exciting world of the first ever, virtual fashion game ! Become the most famous, beautiful, sought after bimbo across the globe!
Did Paris Hilton create this game? I swear she had to. Oh man. What is the world coming to?!

Well that's what going on in the world of "WTF" today, let's hope nothing else crazy happens today, like Britney winning a Nobel Prize for making How I Met Your Mother's ratings sky rocket or Jessica Alba actually looking happy two days in a row, oh man, the world may end if that actually happened, haha.

happy wednesday!

The Hills are everywhere.

Welcome back ladies!

I so wish I had my computer with me last night so I could have live blogged the Hills, because really it was amazing. Basically it was extremely predictable and dramaful and so damn entertaining.

Several thoughts I had throughout the night:
Oh I like the "music box" on the screen, very useful, very marketerish.
How many times are they going to show the Eiffel tower?? I get it. They're in Paris.
I bet a million dollars the shoe store is going to be closed....where's my money?
10-1 says Lauren spills on her dress. Ooooh I was so close.
Why does Heidi actually look normal?
I want to go to Colorado, the snow is so pretty.
Shave Spencer shave!
Oh dear jeebus of reality TV the She-Spence is back and actually said something smart. In a word her brother's a douchebag.
Why am I watching this? Oh that's right. I love it.
Oh we're in Paris I forgot, thanks for showing the Eiffel tower again.
Hey Audrina glad you could make the party, can I have your dress too, it's yellow and it's fabulous.
Oh hi Mariah. You watch the Hills? Weird.
French clubs look just like LA, weird.
Oh man I want Lauren's new dress. Want. it. now.
Lauren why aren't you kissing the French man? Seriously. Just a kiss? Come on.
Well that was an interesting episode. I was expecting more.
Ooooh the season preview. Justin Bobby?!? Brody's gf??! Stephen?! Ah! Love. Okay. I regress, it looks awesomely bad.

Seriously, all of those thoughts went through my head last night. I just love the Hills and can't stop watching or yelling at my screen whenever doucheness arrives. So sue me. And on top of watching the premiere last night I have had a Hills filled morning. Let me explain.

I'm in my car driving to work and flip on KIIS fm and hear Ryan Seacrest interviewing the blonde bimbos. Gah! (but of course I had to listen). And what do they say? Oh they're not together at the moment (um what the crap were you doing on Sunday???), Spencer isn't living at the condo, they've never had sex (Heidi's apparently a virgin...ummmriiiight), and they break up and get back together all the time with no plans of marriage. Okay. Seriously. Gag me. And then I get to work and what's on People.com??? Heidi's new single! Ah. (and of course I had to listen) And as predicted, it sucks. I just can't wait to see the video for this one, haha.

And just to top it all off. Spencer's freaking advice column (Really? Really? What advice can he possibly give?!?!) debuted on Radar online today. I may throw up a little, gah!

Okay well I hope I didn't give away too much for all you Hills lovers and intrigued the batch of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, haha. Hope you have a most fabulous day!

happy tuesday!

I love to dislike on Mondays.

Love: I got out of work early on Friday, got paid and did some major retail therapy.
Dislike: I still didn't get as much as I wanted (sad, I know).

Love: I finally watched Talk to Me. And loved it.
Dislike: I was so dang tired afterwards that I was barely able to pick up my book.

Love: Instead of going to the gym on Saturday I went to the beach. I heart California.
Dislike: Matt is still more tan than I am, this really needs to change, haha.

Love: Went out to a party with Megan on Saturday night, with great music and cheap(ish) drinks.
Strongly dislike: I was tired at like 1 and fell asleep in the car. Oh to be 21 again.

Love: The Easter bunny got me Enchanted and Starburst jell beans! Woo!
Dislike: The Easter bunny aka Mom also dragged me to 8:30 mass (after not getting home until 3). Yeah I was a zombie in church.

Love: Watching my little brothers hunt for Easter eggs.
Dislike: It probably won't happen again since they're getting a little too old for it.

Love love love: The plethora of Easter food and goodies yesterday with Matt and all my family.
Oh so strongly dislike: My stomach decided to go topsy turvy on me all day and all night. And is still going. What the hell!?!

Looooove: The Hills is back on tonight!!! Team Lo all the way!
Strongly dislike: Spencer and Heidi and their ridiculous shenanigans, gag. Look only if you haven't eaten recently. And on top of that, the NY Post is calling Heidi a feminine hero...ummmmmWTF?

Loooooove deux: Greek is also back tonight!!!
Dislike: My house still doesn't have DVR so I have to persuade my dad to record it at 5 since my cable is on East Coast time. Oh the horror!

Love: It's Monday and this week has potential to be both chaotic and busy and fabulous and fun all at the same time. Woot!

What do you love or dislike today?

happy monday!

Kids say the darnedest things.

When I was little I was pretty sure of several things, heck I was more than sure, I was positive. I was positive that my stuffed animals all had hearts and I could never give any of them away because it would make them sad. I knew that Barbies were the greatest toy ever invented and that I should always keep them clothed because they'd get cold. I was pretty assertive to the fact that Michael Jackson was my boyfriend. And if that didn't work out, there was always Jordan Knight. I also knew that jeans were evil and bike shorts were the way to go. I was positive that Peter Pan was real but I would never see him because I didn't have a bay window in my room. I also knew that I would grow up to be either a dolphin trainer at Sea World or an acclaimed actress who got to paint on the side. I was a pretty smart kid actually, haha.

I was so smart that no one had to remind me to say "please" or "thank you" or "Merry Christmas!" I did it all on my own. And the same went for Easter. As a child I was pretty adamant about my Easter greeting, it was "Happy Easter Bunny!!!" all around. For me there was no "Happy Easter" it was only "Happy Easter Bunny", haha. Now don't ask me how this started because I really have no idea, but my whole family could easily vouch for the fact that that it is all I would say. And to this day, it's about all that gets said to me, haha. So with that, I hope you all have a most fabulous weekend and remember....

Happy Easter Bunny!

Here I am.

  • I will forever be a California girl.
  • I'm a democrat.
  • I'm voting for Obama.
  • Speed is my all time favorite movie.
  • I am pro-choice.
  • I am a selective Catholic.
  • I believe in reincarnation.
  • I watch bad reality TV like The Hills and America's Next Top Model without shame...okay maybe a little.
  • I'm a Dodger fan.
  • I like top 40 music. And country. And rock. And mostly everything in between.
  • I don't say I'm mixed African-American and Caucasian, I'm black and white.
  • I would rather watch a movie than a debate.
  • I don't like food with clumps of fruit in it.
  • I am in love.
  • I'm not afraid to stand up for myself and will tell you what I think.
  • I would be no one without my friends and family.
So there you have it. That's me. Although I feel like these qualities could easily have been included in my ongoing 100 list, I felt as though they needed their own post. I don't know why, but I wanted to put it all out there. So think what you will and say what you wish, but this is who I am.

happy thursday!

Random is my middle name.

Disclaimer: Today's post will be scatter brained and a little bit all over the place, so don't say I didn't warn you. Here goes.

I absolutely love reading a book and knowing that it won't take me forever to get through it. If you recall it took me quite a while to finish Wicked and it was so completely frustrating. As much as I ended up loving the book overall, it dragged on in places and I wasn't as captivated as I've experienced with other books which was a little disheartening. However, do not fear. My faith in books and fantastic authors has definitely been revitalized. On Monday I started reading Khaled Hosseini's latest novel A Thousand Splendid Suns. Now I don't know if I've mentioned it before or not, but Kite Runner is one of my favorite books ever. I couldn't put that book down. Although it covered tough subjects and was in no way an "easy read" I just remember while reading it, it was all I thought about. I thought about the characters when I wasn't reading it and wondering what was going to happen next, and that's what I love about reading. So of course I was so excited when the same thing happened on Monday when I started reading his new novel. He builds characters so passionately and intricately that I can't help but to wonder about them and grow attached within a matter of pages. So needless to say I am beyond excited to read this book and can't wait to see what happens next.

Why do I smell cheese right now? No really. Where is that coming from. Don't tease me cheese gods.

Ah! Hello Keanu. You shaved, I love it. Where have you been hiding lately? Don't you have a bad movie to promote soon? Speaking of which, as much as I heart you and see all your films this movie just looks beyond bad. And I really don't know if I can watch you play another cop that isn't named Jack Traven, because let's be honest here, that was your best role ever. However, thanks to the wonders of gift certificates I may end up seeing it and not feeling thaaaaat guilty.

Oh! Oh! Thursday at 7 am you can go to People.com to see exclusive pictures of the Lopez-Anthony twins! Oh! Ummmm. WTF People. I don't care thaaaaat much to see those babies. No need for a major alert on your page, seriously, come on now.

Speaking of celebrity babies, my girl Halle had her baby girl on Sunday and the name was released yesterday. Nahla Ariela Aubry. Um. Is she a Disney fan? Because really the name is like Lion King and Little Mermaid put together. Or as other people have speculated, Ariela sounds a lot like Areola which is a part of the boob...umm, Halle didn't you think about this? I had such high hopes for your child. Oh well. What she lacks in a name will be made up in cuteness I presume.

Last night I dreamed about Ace of Cakes. I had to serve cake to thousands of people, good god it was tedious, especially since it was such a difficult cake to cut in the first place. And there was a guy dressed as a tin man who kept coming back for seconds and thirds and I had to swat him away with a spatula, what the hell? Who dreams about that?

It's Wednesday, which means two things: spinning and America's Next Top Model. Fierce!

happy wednesday!

Did you know...

...that I love the band Gaelic Storm? You should too.

...they're the third class band in Titanic aka the best scene in the whole movie!!?!

...Angelina reads my blog? No really. Remember last week when I said my blog was lacking in the cute baby department? Yeah well she brought out the whole brood just for me, haha. Precious!

...Busy Phillips aka Audrey from Dawson's Creek is preggers? I certainly did not know this. Congrats!

...I used to hide zucchini in my socks when I was younger to avoid eating it at dinner? And then I'd flush it down the toilet. What can I say? I hate zucchini, haha.

...David Paterson was sworn in today as the first black and legally blind governor of New York??? And on top of that, he's already admitted to having multiple affairs?!!?! Crazy politicians.

...The Hills is coming back next Monday?!? Hollerrrr. I can't wait. Such a horribly fantastic show.

...in 7th grade I was able to name 32 places on a world map in a minute and was the best in my class? Hence why I've been so addicted to this game lately, trying to reclaim my fame, haha.

...there's a high of 70 today!?! Hello sun. :)

...I absolutely love blogging and all my freaders, you're the best!

happy tuesday!

Go green!

Well first of all, Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!

Hope your day is filled with greenness and jolly little leprechauns that want to give you all their money...man wouldn't that be awesome.

Anyhoo, moving on. I had a most fabulous weekend that was full of wonderously green things. Friday night I went out with Megan and some friends to this bar/club in Hollywood, Boulevard 3, and the entire place was decked out in an Emerald City theme. It was awesome. As soon as you walked in there was a giant green hot air balloon and a yellow brick road below. And once inside the walls were green and there was a house hanging over the dance floor with a tornado scene on a TV behind it, basically it just made me want to go see Wicked again, haha.

On top of that the place also turned into Step Up every two hours and had people dancing and what have you on stage. People were even dressed up as the characters from Wizard of Oz, pretty amusing. And probably one of the creepiest/coolest parts was the fact that there was a "flying monkey" roaming around the whole place and hanging off of the balcony the entire night.

All in all it was a fabulous night in Emerald City....

And then there was Saturday. Another night of Emeraldness, only the Irish version, haha. Matt ended up having a little St. Patty's Day shindig at his house with a couple of our friends. Let's just let the pictures do the talking:

Matt and Mike starting of the night with "Seamus O'Toole hands", haha

Embracing my inner Irish

The sis with green teeth, mmmmfrosting

The night wouldn't be complete without Irish car bombs

Well that basically sums up the night. I could have sworn I took more pictures, but apparently not, haha, oh well. Anyhoo how was your weekend? Green and fabulous I hope.

Okay well off to do some work, I take it that Prop 3-17 didn't pass, darn.

happy monday!

Friday, March 14, 2008

I'm Irish this weekend.

Man I so meant to post earlier in the day, but alas that little thing called "work" has gotten in the way, haha, I kid I kid (hi coworkers!). Anyhoo, since I waited too long my brain has currently turned into mush and I'm stuffed off of delicious pizza...mmmpizza.

Okay. Back to the blog.

Well I hope you all celebrate the most green and beverage filled holiday there is this weekend and have lots o' fun like the Irish. Two of my best friends are Irish (Matt and Jen), so basically I'm just Irish by association...meaning this weekend should be greenly fabulous.

And I leave you with these two gems of some of the best St. Patty's Day's I've ever had...

The 8 Great drunk at McP's. Spot the Irish girl!

My most favorite Irishman :)

happy weekend!

Around the web...and such.

  • My coworker posted this little diddy of a game and I can't help playing it, so far my best is 72 countries, I am determined to know more by the end of the day!
  • Spencer Pratt also know as "le douchebag of the year" has himself a new gig. Not only will we get to see him in all his doucheness on the Hills (coming back on the 24th, woot!) but apparently Radar magazine editors have been hopped up on some serious drugs lately because they gave him his own advice column!?!! Um explain to me people how this dbag is qualified to answer people's questions. Unless the questions are like "how do you make a quality music video?" or "how do I convince my girlfriend to get a boob job?", haha. Oh Spence, you really are too much for words.
  • Need to win over that little Spanish rose down the street? Well check out this video that shows you just how to do that, haha.
  • The final Harry Potter book will be turned into two movies (I hear money clinking), to come out in 2010. Although I haven't read the books I hear that the final one is just full of too much stuff to slim down, so two movies it is. Hey I'm not complaining, I love the movies. I just hope that Harry and co. don't look 25 by the time the movies are done, haha. Dawson's Creek what?
  • Top Model. Oh Top Model how I hear thee. Although last night's episode was a little grotesque. I'm too lazy to do a real summary so I direct you to Jamie because I pretty much agree with everything she said. Except Lauren is annoying to me (she's like the new Heather) and I'm glad Jaslene called her out, it was pretty damn funny. And Claire is my homegirl, heart her.
  • Speaking of TV, apparently a new spinoff of 90210 is being shopped around the CW. Um. I never watched 90210 but I don't know how I'd feel about a spinoff. I feel like none of the originals would come back because they're either in hiding (Andrea, where are you?) or on Dancing with the Stars (oh Ian whatsyourface) or getting knocked up again (Tori, hi, I'm talking to you). But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
  • Probably one of the most effed up stories that was floating around yesterday was about a woman that didn't leave a toilet seat for two years, two years people. Ah. Ew. Gag. I'm just sick thinking about that. I won't go into full detail about the strangeness but you can check it out here. But seriously who does that?!?!
Well that's about all that's going on out there. But I do have one question...where have all the cute babies gone? Violet? Shiloh? Suri? Where are you?! My blog is running low on the baby cuteness. Come back! Anyhoo. To satisfy the cute baby needs, I present my friend's baby...because he's freaking adorable, enjoy:

happy thursday!

Would you rock it?

So People.com always has this segment of voting of "would you wear this trend?" or check out the latest outfits famous people are wearing, woo. Of course I always vote and give my two cents because I just love checking out some things that are crazy but somehow look good or things that are crazy and should have been left at home. Anyhoo, so today I'm asking you all my lovely freaders...would you rock the following?:

Isla Fisher

the Hilton hos

Lauren Conrad

Lo from The Hills

Lo again

Mischa Barton

America Ferrera

Charlize Theron

Okay so after perusing the internet and only coming up with these outfits I realize that the major trend offenders are Lindsay Lohan and Mischa, and everyone else's outfits aren't all that outrageous or crazy. So umm. What's your fave one? Or what's the worst outfit you've seen out there this week? I love making fun of those :)

Anyhoo, hope you all are having a lovely day...only two days til the weekend, woo!

happy wednesday!

Why are you looking for that???

I love Google Analytics, it truly is a great source of entertainment. I love seeing how people have made their way to my blog and what crazy ass things people are searching. So since it's been a while since I've shared any of these gems I present you with some of the best:

how to patch crotch hole in pants - well I really wish I could help you out there, but seeing as to how I have three pairs of pants with holes in them and no patches, I can't really offer much insight.

i was hanging out at the airport reading "wicked" - really? What airport? did you finish "Wicked"?

Jordan Knight, in person - oh yes. Probably my most favorite search term since it really happened. Ah. Heaven.

90s neon scrunchies - gotta love those.

can you eat moldy pita - well seeing as to how I survived after my moldy pita incident, I'm pretty sure you'll be okay too.

does michelle damon have breast implants? - well one, who is Michelle Damon? And why are you asking about her boobs?

embarrassing black light stories - ah, glad I'm not the only one who's had a black light mishap. Moral of the story kids, always wear clean clothes when you're going somewhere with black light, haha.

famous girls called katelin - wow. I'm famous :)

i don't know how to love him interpretive dance - Um. Yeah. Why are you looking for that?

pacey whitter flip flops - oooooh. Did you find these? My birthday is next month! :)

anyhoo, back to work, woo!

happy tuesday!

Babies and Blondes and Babies, Oh my!

Well nothing too big and exciting in my weekend, I basically laid it all out on Friday, haha. Granted the weather was fabulous and I spent a lot of time outside playing basketball with the brothers and playing my my friend's kid, it was fabulous. I also saw a couple new movies which I may or may not decide to review in future posts...I have yet to decide. Anyhoo...today's post is dedicated to Hollywood Headlines. What's making the news and what I think about it...becuase that's obviously the most important part, haha, so here goes:

- Luciana Barroso is one lucky beyotch. Mrs. Matt Damon is pregnant with baby #2. But really this just means that Jen needs to get knocked up again so baby Damon can have another play buddy. Isabella has Violet to play with...now the new baby needs a friend too. Hear that Jen and Ben? Get to it! I'll help babysit :)

- Speaking of babies, apparently Jonathan Jackson has two kids and his wife is expecting a third! Wow. When did that happen!? He's like a freaking Hanson brother, popping out kids left and right, it's crazy. Did I mention I met him once? And he was quite nice, Courtney can attest to this. And if you have no idea who I'm talking about, just go watch Camp Nowhere, it's amazing.

- Okay if this picture doesn't scream super cute I don't know what does:

Jim Carrey holding Jenny McCarthy's son with Jim's daughter looking on at the premiere of Horton Hears a Who. Precious!

- In other pregnant people news, apparently Lisa Marie Presley is sooooo mad that newspapers were calling her fat when really she's pregnant, she's suing. Ummm WTF Lisa?! You are not the only celeb that's been called fat. So many celebs have been speculated upon when pregnant or having a bad picture angle day. You don't hear Kate Hudson or Mrs. Adam Sandler suing? So yeah, shut it.

- In skanky ho news, Paris Hilton was spotted this weekend rocking a diamond "BM" ring on her wedding finger. Um. Ew. Granted I used to say ew about Nicole too and look what the other Madden did to her, got her knocked up and now she's sort of likable. Maybe Paris should just get knocked up too...haha. Wait what am I saying, I still won't like her. Gah.

- Speaking of dumb blondes, Jessica Simpson is singing to the troops in Kuwait. Now there is something I can appreciate. Even if the troops may not appreciate a gem of a song like "A Public Affair" or "Irresistible", haha, I know that seeing Jess in short shorts and "singing" is definitely something to take their minds off of things, so nice work Jess.

- And just because I saw In Bruges this weekend, Colin Farrel in all his brooding man with drug problems hottness, haha:

happy monday all!

Say what?

Well I've seen this little gem of meme all over the place lately and I wanted to get in on the action. Granted it is pretty hard to narrow down my top movie choices, but here goes:
Here are le rules:
- Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
- Go to IMDB or Wikiquote and find a quote from each movie.
- Post them here for everyone to guess.
- Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
- GUESSERS: Don't cheat! please :)
- One guess per person please, don't want to steal the spotlight from everyone.
- Put your guesses in the comments section so everyone can see.

And go!

1.
Face it, girls, I'm older and I have more insurance.
Tuwanda! lspoon got this classic...Fried Green Tomatoes.

2. Hiya kids. Here is an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don't buy drugs. Become a pop star, and they give you them for free.
Angela really knows that Love is actually all around....aw Love Actually

3. Hey man, this is MY car, I OWN this car, it's NOT stolen.
It is now, move over.
My favorite of all favorites, Lacey I'm only giving you one :)...Speed.

4.
I'm a man who discovered the wheel and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and brawn. That's what kind of man I am. You're just a woman with a small brain. With a brain a third the size of us. It's science.
I'm Ron Burgundy? Oh Anchorman, how I heart thee...nice job Dolce.

5. And these are for your husband. Unrefined cacao nips from Guatemala, to awaken the passions.
Psshh. You've obviously never met my husband.
Well, you've obviously never tried these.
Best part of the movie Chocolat, woo to Lipstick Bitches for that one.

6. No wonder they call her "All the Way" Mae
Woo Kiki! We all know there's no crying in baseball...A League of Their Own

7. Thirteen million and you drive this piece of shit cross country to pick me up?
Hottest cast eva, haha. Nice job Lisa for getting Ocean's 11.

8. This pop isn't workin', Benny! I'm bakin' like a toasted cheese-it! It's so hot here!
You're killing me Smalls....yes the Sandlot is one of the best movies ever, SO@24 agrees.

9. I really love Rudy. He is totally enamored of me. I mean, I've had other men love me before, but not for six months in a row.
B2G got this classic, oh Jake Ryan where art thou....Sixteen Candles.

10. I would have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
This may be the best quote ever...since it's my birthday date, and of course my movie buddy Court knows it, woo. :)

have fun, and happy thursday!

I'm hiding....

under my sister's shirt...

Haha, well not really. But this picture does make me laugh because I did not see that stealth attack coming at all, my sister really is a sneaky one.

And that's all I got today.

And how's your Wednesday?

Tidbits of happy.

  • I feel like a celeb today (at least in the NKOTB world). My post from yesterday about meeting Jordan Knight has popped up in several NKOTB fan sites (even in France!Bonjour!). So Hi to everyone visiting. Glad I could confirm the New Kids rumors. :)
  • My friend Courtney sent me this old clip of Keanu back when he was promoting Speed and he talks about how great Sandra Bullock is and it's just so cute, check it out:

  • I finally finished reading Wicked! And yes I mean finally, remember I started reading this book back in freaking October! But lo and behold I made it through. It definitely was a book worth reading, but it didn't hold my attention the whole time. Some parts in the middle were just so slow I think that's why I put it down for a couple months. In short, it's a good book, just be prepared for some politics, some religion and some other stuff definitely not present in the musical. So if I had to make a decision I would definitely say the musical over the book. It's just more uplifting and fabulous and who doesn't love a musical?? Because clearly I'm obsessed :)

  • I got business cards yesterday. My very first business cards. With my name on it and everything. I feel so grown up, it's pretty awesome. Granted I don't know how many I'll actually give out, but it still feels cool to have them. (yes I know I am a huge dork, haha).

  • I'm wearing shorts to work today. Shorts people. And flip flops, let's not forget those. It's days like these I absolutely love my job and the fact that I'm in Southern California, it's pretty dang sweet.

happy tuesday!

Best. Weekend. Ever.

Well first of all I just want to thank Julie and Nicole again for taking over the blog and keeping everyone in the know with Hollywood and fun celeb run ins (I am definitely jealous of the Matt Damon encounter). But....let me just say that I have my own celeb run in to add to the mix that basically started off my kick ass weekend.

I was hanging out in the airport, reading "Wicked" (which I am so close to finally finishing) and making some small talk with an older man next to me when I happened to look up at the man walking by me on his cell phone. And I kid you not my mouth dropped. I had to stare to make sure I was seeing things clearly. Yes, yes it was Jordan Knight. The Jordan Knight. The Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block who was by far my favorite of the group. I had the Barbie dolls, the giant sleeper shirts and pins with his face on them, I loved him. Oh good freaking jeebus, it really was him. In the moment that he walked past me I called anyone who would be as excited as I was, but before I knew it he was walking back and people around me were trying not to laugh at me because I was basically falling over with excitement. But luckily I got guts and I asked the guy next to me to take a picture and I don't really even remember we talked about because I was so damn giddy. This moment was 17 years in the making and that's all I cared about. He was so nice and told me to have a good trip. I was in heaven. And even better, he walked past me again to his gate...with his brother Jon (eee!) and told me to have a great trip....now if this isn't a sign of a great weekend ahead, I don't know what is...

me and jordan, eeeee

Well basically I didn't sleep the whole flight over and read some "Wicked" and anxiously awaited seeing Jen....eee. So I got there fine, no delays, nada and it was fantastic! Jen picked me up and we went out to eat and catch up and I don't think I stopped laughing the whole time we were there. And the best part was that our waiter was telling us drink specials and said there were 3$ well drinks and Jen was like "yeah I'll have that." It was awesome, haha. Granted I wasn't much better and did the same thing when I got a manicure and the guy asked me if I wanted round or squared nails and I said "yeah that works." Haha, we rock. The rest of the weekend was spent shopping, eating out, watching Top Model reruns, having fantastic dance parties, drinking lots and lots and just having some kick ass fun... I'll just let the pictures do the rest of the work....

pregaming at Jen's place

"modeling" by the foosball table

woo foosball, haha

downtown Greensboro

not so sober cab ride home

rawr.

what a cute pic, i lav it!

So basically if you couldn't tell it was one awesome weekend and I can't wait to do it again. Maybe next time with all the lovely college ladies thrown into the mix :)

Anyhoo, time to get to all my millions of emails and back to the grind of work. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

and happy monday!
