I'm a sucker for a Hollywood party.

Hip hip hooray! It's Friday! Woo! Do I know what I'm doing this weekend? No, not really. But that doesn't matter, it's almost the weekend!!!!

Anyhoo, in light of the weekend I'll give you the quick and picturerific recap of my Tuesday night that I mentioned in yesterday's post.

Well if you didn't figure it out, the fabulous Tara (you can see her recap of the night here and video here) invited me to go to the launch party for a new video game, Afro Samurai. And how could I say no to a party with celebs in tow in Hollywood and an open bar? I couldn't.

So anyhoo, my coworker Kimmy and I got to Geisha House walked around and immediately start recognizing faces like Donal Logue, Eva from Top Model, and some TV people and what not. Eventually we found Tara, got to meet her hilarious husband and another fellow blogger EStarLA. As we sit there chatting it up we see none other than Phoebe Price herself, Michael K's biggest crush. Now who is she you ask? Yeah I don't even know. But Michael K at Dlisted is obsessed, haha. So of course I had to sneak in a picture.

After chatting a bit and grabbing drinks Kimmy and I decided to mosey on upstairs and check it out. And who do we see right at the top of the stairs, none other than Samuel L. Jackson himself. Unfortunately he just just about to leave so I couldn't say hi, but hey I saw him.

view from the top

Me, Kimmy, Tara and Esther

After Sam left we saw Kevin Federline's first ex, Shar Jackson, hanging out in the VIP section and other random folks. My favorite of course had to be seeing Paul James, who plays Calvin on Greek. He was so incredibly nice and talkative and apparently was really happy to take a picture with us:

The guy on the other side is apparently going to be on this season of Greek also, so yeah, I got the inside scoop, haha. After my Greek run in we saw Sleepy Brown on the stair well, Lisa from Top Model, Quddus from MTV and some other randoms on our way to the bathroom. However one of the best run ins was while Kimmy and I were in the bathroom she looks at this girl and goes "Are you Samantha Mumba???"To which the girl said "yeah I am." I'm pretty sure I laughed out loud when Kimmy then proceeded to ask if she'd take a picture with her. It was awesome. Samantha said yes and then I couldn't get "Baby Come On Over" out of my head all night, haha.
Kimmy and Samantha "Baby Come on Over" Mumba

After the party started dying down Kimmy and I headed over to Les Deux for some dance party action. Although we had to wait a while, we eventually made it in and danced like crazy people and it was awesome.

Basically we rock. And what was even more amusing was when we were getting ready to leave and we saw the cameras! I'm pretty sure my reality TV loving heart fluttered a bit in hopes I would see some ridiculous Hills action. Alas, I did not. However we got a pretty raunchy performance from Kendra of Girls Next Door. *update to add, apparently she was filming for her own show*

she was crawling all over him

yeah he was really kissing her butt

straight chugging Patron, I am impressed

I know the Kendra pics aren't the best but some girls kept running interference and my flash takes forever, but I swear it really is her, haha. Anyhoo after the show from Kendra and the fact that it was getting late Kimmy and I posed for one more picture before calling it a night:

All in all it was a great night and I can't believe how many random celebs I've seen in the past week just when I was saying I hadn't seen any in a while, haha. Oh speaking of which, there are some professional pics from the partay here just in case you're curious.

Anyhoo, since Tuesday was like a weekend for me I'm pretty sure my actual weekend will be pretty low key and I cannot wait.

happy weekend all!

Letters from Tuesday night.

Dear Tara,

You are awesome. No really, you are. Thank you for inviting me to the Afro Samurai Launch party. You know I love some good celeb sightings and this was the perfect spot for it. So really, you rock.

Sincerely,
Katelin

Dear Samuel L. Jackson,

Can I call you Sam? Okay well, it was really cool seeing you, I just wish we could have chatted or something or you could have spontaneously yelled something about snakes or planes and used some curse words, maybe next time? Oh and thanks for saying "excuse me" as you passed, manners are always nice.

Sincerely,
a girl who's never seen Snakes on a Plane

Dear Phoebe Price,

Is it okay if I call you CC? You know, Chicken Cutlets? I figure Michael K can do it I can too. Seeing you on Tuesday pretty much made my night. You are like a white Bai Ling, you just pop up everywhere! I love it.

Sincerely,
a girl that wouldn't know who you were if it wasn't for Michael K

Dear bald guy,

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Nigel Barker? Because man, I totally did a double take.

Sincerely,
a girl that really wished you were Nigel

Dear Eva and Lisa,

I loved you both on Top Model even if you're both a bit crazy.
Just so you know.

Sincerely,
a girl on team Top Model 4EVA

Dear Cal,

Can I call you Cal? I couldn't remember your real name all night and Cal just seems right. In case you didn't hear me when I was talking to you, but I love Greek. I really do. It's like a secret addiction that's not so secret because I'm talking about it on my blog. But really, that's for indulging me and taking a picture and being overly nice, it was refreshing. You rock.

Sincerely,
a not-so-secret Greek lover

Dear Samantha Mumba,

I looooooved your song "Baby Come on Over" back in the day. Seriously, it was the jam. And umm thanks for taking a pic with my friend in the bathroom, we're classy like that.

Sincerely,
a girl that owns the NOW CD with your song on it

Dear camera crew at Les Deux,

Way to get my hopes up last night and make me think you were filming the Hills. I was really excited for a quick second. I was hoping to see Audrina or Lauren or Speidi just to say I saw them and laugh as they reshot scenes, haha. But alas you were filming a show, just not one I watch. Kendra however was pretty funny to watch go crazy with the patron bottle and climb all over her football fiance. I wonder if she learned that from Hef, hmmmm? So yeah how about next time you film a show I watch, k? Thanks.

Sincerely,
a girl who knows her trashy reality TV

Dear Katelin,

Why the eff did you forget me at home? I mean really how are you supposed to upload your pictures without me, I am pretty crucial. And that picture of you and Cal is awesome so I know you want to share it. So umm yeah how about you don't forget me tomorrow okay? Thanks.

Sincerely,
your camera cord

happy thursday!

A very Merry Unbirthday to me.

Three months from this last Sunday is my birthday. My birthday people, my 25th birthday to be more exact. I will be hitting both a golden age and a silver age all in one day. What am I talking about you ask? Well I've always heard that your golden birthday is when you turn the age of the date of your birthday. Well I'll be turning 25 on April 25th hence the goldeness of my birthday. And the silver? Well apparently 25 is silver? Who knew? I didn't.

But who cares about all this silver and gold business, what's most important is that it will be my birthday and it's on a Saturday! Which basically means it has to be awesome. And if you didn't know by now, I love birthdays! Not just mine, other people's too, but the fact that it will be my birthday is just so exciting!

And no I'm not freaking out about turning 25, in fact I'm sort of excited. Next time I rent a car it'll be cheaper (wahoo!) and ummmm I don't know what else gets better at 25 but I don't care I'm excited. 25 just sounds awesome, it sounds sophisticated, it sounds mature. Not that I am either of those last two, but still....awesome.

And ummm why am I talking about my birthday that is three months away you ask? Well, because I need your help!

I want this birthday to be awesome. It's on a Saturday, I have so many options but I just can't figure out what the heck I should do. I thought about renting out a couple lanes at Lucky Strike or doing a themed bar crawl or just having a party at my place or going to dinner with a ton of people per usual or going to the beach if weather permits. I just don't know!

So this is where you all come in, I neeeeeed ideas! Just note it should be something a lot of people can come to and they're all over 21. Other than that, help a sister out! This birthday is the birthday to end all birthdays so it has to be fantabulous!

You guys rock my socks off.

Woo!

happy wednesday!

It's Tuesday and there really is a Hollywood post.

Oh it's Tuesday and I'm actually talking Hollywood today? Why of course I am. The past two weeks necessitated some change ups but I'm back in full swing with a good ole Hollywood post, and here we go:
  • This week's cute bebe goes to little Valentina Pinault, the daughter of Salma Hayek. Seriously she is just turning into the cutest little thing, it's just too dang adorable:

    presh!

  • And this week's second cute lil bebe is little Heidi Klum and Seal's son Henry, seriously this picture just made me laugh and I love this kid's hair....obviously:

    adorable!
  • In music/musical news, apparently the Michael Jackson hit song, Thriller, is going to be turned into a Broadway musical. No I did not make that up.

  • In Twilight news (oh you thought I stopped didn't you? haha) apparently little ole Dakota Fanning has been cast or is incredibly close to sealing the deal to play Jane in New Moon. I actually think it's a pretty good pick and Dakota is growing on up so I think she could rock it.

  • In favorites news, Josh and Diane have finally been spotted together again, I was starting to get worried for a quick sec. But never fear their cuteness just melts my little heart, love them:

  • In other favoritests news, remember how I was supposed to go to Josh Kelley's concert last week but I couldn't find anyone to go with me so I wussed out and missed seeing him in concert even though he's one of my faves? You do. Yeah well I was pretty bummed to see that Katherine Heigl (his wife) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan went to the show! What the eff?! I missed seeing them and Josh! Ah. Next time Josh, I promise!

  • Oh and the SAG awards were last night..... yeah I didn't really watch and some of the usual suspects won, you can check it all out here. But I did see some of the fashion choices and seriously some just had to be shared:

Taraji P. Henson was working it, love this

clearly I have a girl crush on Kate, I can't help it

Claire, I want this dress, kthxbai

Okay I lied, Viola Davis I want this dress, WANT

I know there were a ton of other fab and not so fab gowns but these were my top choices of ones I'd like to own and wear to my own formal shindig.

Oh and for most awkard interview Giulana at E! wins the prize trying to talk to Angelina Jolie and Brad. Oy.

  • Speaking of the Sag Awards....So I saw Doubt this weekend and ummm. I liked it, thought it was good, but I sort of left the theater thinking "what the eff?" and "why is every Oscar nominated movie so damn depressing?". Don't get me wrong I love me some good dramas but I definitely have to space it out when I see them. Oh and I loved Meryl and Amy the best, both were amazing in their roles and perfect for it, love love.

  • And in TV news we have....
Fringe. Oh man. What a comeback episode for the second half of the season. Seriously this show is intense and crazy and did I say intense already because it is. So if you love Josh and weird Sci-Fi business you should definitely check it out.

Criminal Minds. Speaking of intense my goodness this week's ep of Criminal Minds was ridiculous. It was so freaky and bizarre and a family that kills people together and ugh, shudder. I still love the show but man I have to watch it in the day time all the time, haha.

The City. I may or may not be giving up on this show. I'm not sure yet. I missed last week's ep and I was okay with that and I'm in no hurry to watch this week's. Maybe I'll just stick to reading Working Girl's recaps, they pretty much nail it.

CSI: NY. Apparently they're letting anybody act these days because Ashlee Simpon and Pete Wentz filmed a stint for an upcoming episode where they play Bonnie and Clyde like bank hooligans. Ummmmm. Okay? Eck.

Ugly Betty. Now I haven't watched this show in a while but I do enjoy it when I do so I was pretty bummed to see that ABC is benching it. Now it's not officially cancelled but it looks like it may be heading that way. But come on ABC, don't do it! We need America Ferrara!

  • And lastly in today's WTF news we have.....Stains the dog! Now it's not really a WTF story but oh my gosh this dog is hilarious. Julie already talked about him and he's all over Dlisted but when I saw the clip on the Soup I could not stop laughing and definitely rewatched it, haha. And who is Stains you asked? Stains is a dog who's owners wanted him to stop stealing food from the kitchen so they hypnotized him (drugged him?) and it's just hilarious. Here, here Joel's clip sums it up best, enjoy. And ps. who names their dog Stains? I mean really.

And that my friends is Hollywood Tuesday? Anything I missed add it to the comments.

Woo!

happy tuesday!

"My friends say I'm crazy and I agree..."

Name that tune! Anyone? Anyone? I'll give you a hint, it's from my most favoritest band, O.A.R. Ah! Anyhoo let's get to the weekend shall we? Stupid Charter has left me internetless at home so alas the last minute weekend post it is. And go!

Friday: Friday oh Friday. Anyone that was following my tweets saw that my boss came through and got me free tickets to see O.A.R. and I was basically listening to them all day prepping for the big show. After work I headed home, grabbed Matt and we were off to Club Nokia down in the new L.A. Live area which was pretty sweet. Well we go to the pick up office and I tell them my name and then the lady hands back two tickets and two stickers. So we go to another guy who puts our wrist bands on with the big letters of VIP on them (holla)! And I asked what the sticker was for and no one knew. Eventually we get inside (so nice in there) and ask a security guard what the sticker is for and they're like "oh it's too go backstage after the show." I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the ground. Anyhoo after all of that Matt and I went up to the VIP area grabbed some dinner (sweet lord Kobe beef burgers are fantastic) and drinks and watched some of the opener who I also love, Eric Hutchinson, check. him. out.
Eric rockin out on stage

Matt and I enjoyed VIP status, haha

Eventually the show started and O.A.R. was awesome. Seriously I don't think they can put on a bad show. I even realized that I have now seen them six times in four different states, yeah I'd call myself a fan, haha. They even did this great rendition of "Hey Girl" which is my all time fave of theirs and I was pretty much in heaven. Eric Hutchinson even came out and sang with O.A.R. and it was sooooo cool. All in all I danced and sang my little heart out and it was amazing.
Marc rockin out

After the show was over Matt and I bolted to the back stage door where we were promptly rerouted to go upstairs to the VIP area and wait there. Well we got there, hanged out a bit, saw tons of random people that all seemed to know each other and waited for the band to make their way there. We waited....and waited....and eventually they all trickled in. I tried so hard to talk to Benji the bass player but he just wasn't interested, which was sort of lame. I got pretty disheartened and told Matt we could go and right as we are leaving, who walks in? Oh, oh just Marc, the lead singer. So after he chats with some other fans I tapped his shoulder and said hi and that we were big fans and if I could get a picture with him. He was so so nice and was like "of course" and his wife even offered to take the pic so Matt could get in it too. Basically Marc was super nice and really appreciative of the fans which I loved and made the night a whole lot better...

All in all it was an amazing night and good gracious I love O.A.R. :)

Saturday: After the awesomeness that was Friday night I spent Saturday working out on the Wii Fit and playing Cinderella. I cleaned pretty much all afternoon while Matt was at work and I'm pretty sure I got high on Scruby Bleach, haha. But hey the place does sparkle. After cleaning away all day I watched Catch Me If You Can, which I love. It was on TV and I was watching it then I realized I owned it so I might as well just watch the DVD, which I did. And oh Leo I love you. And did you know Amy Adams, Ellen Pompeo, Jen Garner and Elizabeth Banks are all in it?? I totally forgot!

Anyhoo once Matt got home we headed to dinner at Cheesecake Factory which was so good. My food was okay, but the white truffle raspberry cheesecake was freaking amazing, I highly recommend it. After dinner we just headed home to a night in with wine and catching up on the DVR, twas loverly.

Sunday: Slept in a bit, headed to a matinee showing of Doubt with my mom then off to the Rose Bowl for our six mile walk. Oh, oh but before I forget...before the movie I went to Starbucks and this guy walks in and I stared a bit because I swore I knew him. Alas I did know actually know him rather I recognized him. At first I thought it was from ER and I was set on that. But when I was walking and talking about him again I realized it wasn't from ER that I recognize him the most, it was Grey's Anatomy, it was Bailey's husband! Haha, so of course I Imdbed him today and his name is Cress Williams and aha! he was on ER too! So I was right! Anyhoo, I was excited to have my first two celeb run ins of '09 within 2 days of each other, haha. So yeah, after my run in, the movie and walking I went to my parents where Matt met me and we had dinner with the crazy fam. Once dinner was over we all played a game of ImagineIff, seriously the game is ridiculous but highly entertaining.

After dinner Matt and I headed home to relax, called Charter and find out why we have no internet, relaxed and Wiied it up before bed.

Seriously, my kind of weekend.

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

A Winner, A Hat and Hollywood.

And we're back to the regularly scheduled programing. On this fine Thursday I bring you the ins and outs the yays and nays and the hollas of Hollywood (minus the Oscar noms because I'm writing this a day early), so sit back, grab a mimosa and we're good to go:
  • Fist of all, without further adieu let's get to that Super Bowl giveaway winner.....drumroll please.......

Julie Q from the JQ Lounge

Matt picked the lucky name out of a hat, I would have taken pictures but alas I forgot. Anyhoo, Julie Q who even though her Pats aren't in it to win it this year, still gets to celebrate in style.

Thanks so much to everyone that entered and thanks to Tara and Pepsi for sponsoring the giveaway!

  • And for this week's cute bebeness we have kids. I know I said bebes, but these girls are kids and are super cute and it's only appropriate that they get the top spot this week....Sasha and Malia Obama. Seriously they are so cute and looked adorable at the inauguration.

    heart them.

  • Also in cute bebeness we have another newcomer that actually is a bebe, little Levi McConaughey. Seriously he's just a little cutie pie. And hey for all you guy readers his mom is pretty hot too, and only 25, what the eff?! She's only a year older than me, crazy pants. Anyhoo, moving on. Levi is a cutie.

  • In Oh-my-goodness-I-Love-Ellen news, Ellen decided to test out the latest fashion trend on her show....a hat similar to the one Aretha Franklin wore to the inauguration, and I must say, it looks divine, haha:

However, I think President Obama may wear it the best:

  • And in I-heart-you-where-have-you-been-hiding news, two celeb guys who I used to freaking love have emerged from the depths of somewhere to have their pictures taken just so I can post them here, aren't you excited??

Bachelor numero uno is the one and only Paul Walker. I mean how can you not love him, he was in Varsity Blues and The Fast and the Furious for crimenys sake!? Yeah that and my sister still loves him and is determined to meet him eventually so I thought I'd post a picture of him all scruffly and shirtless at the beach because that's what nice sisters do:

    you're welcome.

And Bachelor numero two we have the man behind a song that I played on repeat more times than my ipod could count, no not Craig David...but Ryan Cabrera! And ohmyfreakinggoodness he looks good again! I was never totally sold on his long locks and facial hair but I oh so love how he's looking now. If only he'd have another concert here that I could go to, yeah that'd be awesome:

    so cute!

  • In other hottie mchotterson news, Joshua Jackson was seen perusing the streets of Toronto in the funniest most adorable sweater jacket thing ever. Seriously I just want to snuggle him, then ask him to round up some friends and do the Flying V. Not too much to ask right? haha.

  • And in TV news....
How I Met Your Mother. I know I say it all the time, but if you aren't watching this show you are definitely missing out. Monday's ep was so cute, I love Marshall and Lily and their adorable quirks, seriously I want to be like Marshall and Lily.

CSI: Oh wow. What a way to end Grissom's career in Vegas. Such a good episode. The killers were so damn creepy I got chills down my spine. But props to Lawrence Fishburne for stepping in and meshing with the group pretty well. And the ending, oh the ending, so great.

Desperate Housewives. I thought this week's episode was so cute and it was fun to look back on the ladies of Wisteria in yet another flashback. And Eli was such a nice ole guy, I thought it was cute to see how he changed each of the ladies lives for the better.

Grey's Anatomy. Two points to my Momma McDreamy. Seriously, I thought she did a great job stirring things up at Seattle Grace. And ohmygosh I pretty much squeeeeeed when Cristina and Dr. Owen had their shower rendezevous and how nervous he was, so cute.

  • And today's WTF story goes to the biggest dbag I have ever heard of (well besides Spencer of course)...but apparently this kid was at home playing his Xbox and his mom called him down for dinner and he didn't listen so she unplugged his Xbox. He was so upset he slapped her arm and threw a taco at her, a taco! So yeah naturally she had him thrown in jail, haha. Seriously what is going on in America.

  • And lastly for today's post. Heath, even though I didn't know you, I still miss you. And congrats on the Oscar nomination :)

And that my friends is the Hollywoooood scoop of the week. Anything I missed?

happy thursday!

Yes we really did.

Why hello there dear freaders. I don't know why but I had such a hard time putting today's post into words, but I did. Unless you were living in a hole you know that yesterday Barack Obama officially became the 44th president of the United States.

And you know what....

It's' awesome.

Haha. I mean I don't really have better words for it. Today I would usually use to talk about Hollywood and the glitz and glam and hotties and bebes but I just didn't think that was appropriate for today. Today is the end of a trying time and the start of something new...

Now I know back in November I was overly emotional but now I'm simply serene. Yes I still fear that some whack job will try something against the Obamas but I'm also ready for the changes to slowly but surely start and America to do something different.

And I know I'm not alone, seriously there are some of my favorite pictures of onlookers from various places yesterday, simply wonderful.

However I think that this picture may be my favorite of the day, such an elegant and beautiful couple:

Well I know this post wasn't exactly poignant or sharing anything that we didn't already know, but I don't really care. Barack Hussein Obama is our new president and I love it.

happy wednesday!

*Oh and I know I said I'd announce the Super Bowl giveaway winner but I'm going to let it run just one more day. So enter!*

A Beach-ful, Party-ful weekend of woo!

Well hello there again, hope you all had a lovely weekend. I would be using today's post to talk about how exciting it is to be an American today, but alas I'm writing this post Monday night so I can't really reflect too much just yet. So tomorrow it is. Instead...I share with you, my ridiculous weekend, woo!

Friday: After work I headed home to a night of a delicious dinner, Wii playing and DVR catching up with Matt. Afterwards our neighbor came over to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and partake in Pirate Night 2.0, haha. It wasn't nearly as ridiculous as the last time, but it was still a good time.

Saturday: Spent the morning at the apartment dilly dallying around for a bit before Megan came over so we could head to the beach. Seriously it was a gorgeous day at Venice Beach and it was awesome to get there early. Me, Megan and Matt walked around the boardwalk area, saw all the crazies, my fave was a guy chilling that was holding a sign that said "F*** milk. Got pot?", haha. Seriously, Venice is like the Berkeley of So Cal, freaking ridiculous.

Anyhoo, we hung out in the hotel room a bit before starting the real party.

the view from the hotel room, lav it

Matt and JR actin all silly like

me and the birthday girl enjoying some wine, holla

Eventually we headed to the club where we drank and danced all night long, it was awesome.

some of the ladies enjoying the partay

the birthday girl and her boy

party! party!

me and my silly boy, love

oh what a crazy birthday girl

twinnies for life, haha

After the club, the night got a wee bit crazy, almost too crazy to post about so I'll just say we didn't get home til 3 and it took some major cab calling and maneuvering back to the hotel, haha. All in all it was a great way to spend Megan's birthday. Love it.

Sunday: Got home earlyish, relaxed, caught up on the DVR Went to an early showing of Revolutionary Road with my mom. I must say, it was a really good movie, Leo looked so good, Kate was amazing, but overall it was just so sad. A great story, but man so so intense. After the movie we did our six mile walk at the Rose Bowl, gotta train for the marathon in two months. After walking I came home and caught up on more TV, hung out with Matt and just had a relaxing night in.

Monday: Seriously can every weekend just be a three day weekend? It was great to sleep in, do some stuff around the apartment, run some errands, then I met my movie buddy, Courtney at the movies and saw Last Chance Harvey. It was a really awkward but really cute movie. Definitely more uplifting than Revolutionary Road and pretty quirky, definitely recommend it. After the movie I did some shopping then headed to my friend Katrina's house for dinner with her fam and got to play with her son for a bit which was great. Afterwards I spent my night with the new Wii Fit (seriously Matt is the best boyfriend eva!) and catching up on the DVR (I swear I'll always have shows on there, haha).

All in all it was another great weekend and I'm already looking forward to next week, haha.

And how was your weekend?

happy tuesday!

*don't forget to enter the SUPER giveaway, I'll be picking the winner manana*

We're all dreamers.

I know I posted this excerpt last year, but it is my favorite part of his speech and it's worth sharing again:

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."
(excerpt from the I Have A Dream speech, August 28, 1963)

This post is full of Awesome.

Seriously, it is. Because it's Friday and my brain has been fried from work and life and too much wine and Wii playing, I'm going to share all of the awesome that encompasses my life right now.

Enjoy!
  • Today is Friday! Friday = awesome.

  • This morning I woke up, did some Wii boxing, I'm getting fit...it's awesome.

  • Yesterday at work I got congrats for doing such a good job on a campaign...pats on back = awesome.

  • Did I mention it's Friday? Yeah that's awesome.

  • One of my bosses is amazing and knows people who work with O.A.R. so I'm hopefully seeing them next Friday and I can barely contain my excitement. O.A.R. = awesome to the max!

  • Speaking of music, Josh Kelley is performing at the Hotel Cafe next Wednesday at 10 if anyone would like to join me??? I need a concert buddy because JK = awesomeeee.

  • Tomorrow is one of my best friend's birthday, I wrote her a fabulous birthday post last year and I don't really think I can top it. So here it is for you to check out again.

    Happy Birthday Megan!

  • And for her birthday we're heading to the beach....in January....California = awesome.

  • Not only that but we're staying at a hotel on the beach, in a suite, where we can party, and then take a cab to the bar and no one will have to drive. Yeah, that's just awesome in a bottle. (I have no idea what that means, haha)

  • Yesterday I booked a free trip I had to Vegas for Matt and I in March. And it's not for a wedding! Two points to me for fun times and actually starting in on my New Year's resolutions! Free trip to Vegas, the boyfriend, fulfilling goals = awesomeness.

  • The Super Bowl giveaway is still going strong, so don't forget to enter!

  • Oh and did I mention that it's Friday meaning 6:30 is officially the weekend? I did? Oh. Well did I mention it's a three day weekend? No? I didn't. Because I forgot and lspoon reminded me? Yes. Yes a three day weekend is all sorts of awesome. Holla.

And that my friends is all that is awesome in the world of Katelin right now. Hope you have a weekend full of awesomeness. Woo!

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Hollywood news is just as cool on a Thursday.

Thursday? Already? Why thank you I'll take it! And since it's Thursday which sort of sounds like Tuesday, but not really, I thought I'd take today's post to write about what else is going on in Hollywood, besides the Golden Globes hoopla that took over this week's Hollywood spot. So are you ready? Well grab your Voss water, sit back and enjoy:
  • In this week's cute bebeness we have the ever adorable new big sister Violet who is proudly displaying her new role in the family:

    so cute!

  • In other cute bebeness we have mini-Marcias! Seriously Marcia Cross' girls are just so happy and cute, they should really have a play date with Violet soon, it'd be the happiest play date ever:

    presh!

  • Know who else is precious and cute and swoon worthy and one of my favorites? Joshua Jackson! Seriously I heart him and Fringe is coming back next week and I'm excited because really, I just love seeing him so frequently now, it's awesome. Now all I have to do is meet him finally. Goal for '09: Meet Joshua Jackson. Now that would be sweet.

Oh and check out this interview of him talking all about Fringe, so exciting, woo.

  • In other faves/ I-can't-stop-talking-Twilight news, apparently some of the big wigs at Summit weren't too pleased when Rob Pattinson cut his hair last month and he got in trouble, haha. Seriously people? Seriously? New Moon isn't even filming yet, give the guy a break and let him cut his hair. I personally think he looks good either way.

    mmmmmmm

  • Speaking of my faves, because it's my blog and I can do that, apparently Kate Winslet was on Oprah and Oprah confessed to loving Kate's boobs...because they're real, haha. I don't know if this is awkward or hilarious or both, but I heart Kate no matter what. And we both have real boobs and our names are Kate, so basically we should be BFFs now. Call me Kate? :)

  • In movie news, I'm still slacking. I mean really how have I not seen The Reader, Revolutionary Road, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button or Milk. I must see all of those before the Oscar's (which is February 22nd in case you were curious).

But as for a movie I do not in any way shape or form plan on seeing unless someone pays for my ticket, is the new Karate Kid remake will Jaaden Smith and most recently rumored...Jackie Chan as Mr. Miagi. Ummmm No thank you. Why are you people messing with a classic?! I mean first Footloose and now this!? Stop it and you stop it now!

  • In TV news....
CSI: Not that I ever talk about this show on here, but I've been a fan for years. I love it. It's awesome. I love the characters and love the show and the special effects and everything. And tonight is William Petersen's last episode, so sad. CSI: just won't be the same without the bug-loving-wise-crackin Gil Grissom. Hopefully Lawrence Fishburne will do a good job taking over and the show will continue to be awesome, woo. Oh but I do know the show will have some schnazzy guest stars, well at least one, Taylor Swift, she was spotted on set for an upcoming episode, fun times.

Grey's Anatomy. Well speaking of cast members leaving, apparently Grey's just can't hold onto people lately. Melissa George (aka Meredith's crazy friend) is peacing out of Seattle Grace. Is it bad that I'm sort of okay with that though? Her character sort of bugged me anyways. I'm just glad Dr. Owen is staying because him and Yang are amazing right now. And Sloane and little Grey?! Ah! What is going on in this hospital?! And seriously Shonda, Denny is dead. Or did you forget that you wrote that two seasons ago? He's dead, let it go. Kthnxbai.

Law and Order: SVU. Okay so I've been a bad fan and am just now catching up on episodes but that's not what's making news about the show. Apparently Oliv....er Mariska Hargitay is suffering from a collapsed lung! She will still be able to tape episodes of the show but she will also be spending a lot of time recuperating. Speedy recovery Mariska, Eliot needs you!

How I Met Your Mother. If you aren't watching this show then you are missing out? Seriously I love it. And if you want to catch up, Lifetime is airing episodes starting from Season 1, so get to it! And this week's episode was pretty funny and cute and sort of reminded me of the beginning of the Pacey/Joey days. And Barney, oh Barney, I heart you.

Speaking of NPH. Did you see him host SNL? I actually still have it on my DVR to catch up on, but I saw a clip of his opening and I couldn't stop laughing, seriously he's awesome.

The City. Umm. I'll be honest and say I didn't watch this week's episode yet, so check Working Girl's blog for a pretty accurate update, seriously seems like I haven't missed much. Oh Whitney.

  • And finally in today's WTF news I have two little tidbits to make you go "huh?". One. Ryan Seacrest. On American Idol on Tuesday he tried to high five a blind contestant. Oh Ryan, Ryan, you made Paula look normal on that show. Oy.

And the second WTF of today comes from this gem:

I really have no words for this one...except...WTF?!
Anyhoo that's all I got today folks, any Hollywood scoop I missed?

Hope you're revving up for the weekend like I am, one day away! Woot!

happy thursday!
