A day in Hollywoo woo wooland.

Oh let's not waste any time there is plenty to share this week in Hollywood, so here we go:
  • Starting off this week's cuteness we have the oh so adorable Harlow Madden on another mommy and me date. Seriously she is all sorts of precious and is definitely going up the list of fave bebes.

can I get a tutu please?

  • Also in the cuteness department we have Angelina and the twins! Not the cutest picture of them but gah their little towheads and facial expressions are just too cute.

    so precious.

  • Moving on from the bebes and onto some Hollywood scoop...Ricky Martin is gay and the world is also round....Beyonce is a big sister again becuase Maury told her dad that he is the father to some lady's baby...Madonna's 13 year old daughter Lourdes is already taking after mom and is aspiring to be a designer, yeah if only I was that ambitious (or rich) at 13, haha...Apparently Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are getting up close and personal on their The Bounty promo tour, uh oh....and apparently Lilo and George Lopez are going at it on Twitter, well sort of, basically Lindsay...shut it.

  • And in some favorites...
Hey Sandy, that drink offer? Totally still stands. While Jesse's in rehab or whatever we can just hang out and eat cupcakes. Also, Matt and I watched Speed on Sunday and I must say you are awesome and you should probably call Keanu up for some consoling if you're not going to call me.

My movie buddy Courtney bestowed this gem on my Facebook page and how could I not share it? I mean I practically drooled...

oh le swoon, le swoon, le swoon.

Oh goodness, hellooooo Sam. And I must say, after watching Somersault last night you look MUCH better without the mullet, haha.

  • In Twilight news...
Stephenie Meyer announced today that she is releasing a novella about a bit Twilight character, Bree, on June 5th (just in time for Eclipse's theatrical release at the end of the month). I feel like a bad fan because I don't even know who Bree is, haha, but since I guess I'll just have to reread Eclipse to figure it out.

Speaking of Eclipse, the official poster was released and yeah. I love these movies too much it's slightly embarrassing.

  • In non-Twilight movie news...
Did you know there are 75 movie remakes or reboots currently in the works? How insane is that? Apparently Hollywood's getting a bit lazy.

Also potentially remade that's not on that list is Laverne and Shirley with my fave Jen Garner and Jessica Biel taking the leading lady spots. Um okay? Maybe? We'll see.

However in movie adaptation news, one of my favorite series of books is being picked up for the big screen. Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series starting with One for the Money has officially made it to the screen. However, Katherine Heigl is set to play the fearless and ridiculous heroine Stephanie Plum. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. I would have much rather prefered someone like Anne Hathaway or Amy Adams or Isla Fisher but I guess Katherine will have to do. Hopefully she'll do pretty well, now who's going to play Morelli and Ranger, that's what I really want to know, haha.

  • In TV news...
Top Model. Adios Ren! I was in no way sad to see that whinerface gone. And seriously, someone please explain to me how she was hand picked? I mean really. Not that exciting, at all. Also, I love seeing Laura in the model lounge because ohmygod she was one of my favorites last cycle, too funny. Anyhoozits, for the full gif-induced recap check out Four Four per usual.

Greek. Seriously how are we at a season finale already? That show just toys with my emotions, but at least it's coming back relatively soon I believe. But one, I heart Dale, he is so ridiculous and hilarious and aw just heart. And Cappie and Casey...um what the eff? What is this break up business? I don't think so. Work it out you two! Like now! And um Ashley, can we be bffs because you are all sorts of awesome? k thanks.

Scrubs. Don't know that anyone but me and Matt have been watching the new Scrubs but it won't be here much longer because it got canceled. Sad face.

Grey's Anatomy. Well for more Katherine Heigl news, Izzy Stevens has officially left Seattle Grace and won't be coming back. But whatever I'll live, I just vote that we have more Dr. Sloane and more or Dr. McDreamy looking like this:

    helloooo good lookin.

The Hills. Yes I have long given up on that show (well long as in I didn't watch the last season) and it has officially been canceled. It was a good run but ohmygod I could have done without the dreaded duo for whom I will not name because they have been banned from my blog.

Project Runway. Come back Anthony, come back!!! He was hands down my favorite person on that show and I am so sad to see him gone. I just hope they bring him back this week, if not a designer, a commentator perhaps because my goodness that guy is hilarious.

  • Lastly in today's WTF news we have a winner. Actually we have a woman that was arrested for causing a disturbance with a cab driver and used her one phone call from jail to call the police because she was being trapped, ummmright, like I said, Winner. To top it off she has one hell of a mug shot so go check it out.

Anything I missed? Let me know.

happy wednesday!

We're a Happy Star Mac family now.

So last week was sort of shitastic, hence the no post on Friday because I wanted to leave the blog on a happy note. But the no post yesterday? Yeah well you can blame Charter and their lack of internet for that one. No fun at all. Anyhoozits, I had one hell of a weekend to make up for the lameness so shall we recap? We shall!

Friday: Well the work day wasn't too bad. Afterwards I headed to see The Wiz at the high school where my mom works. Needless to say, "ease on down the road" was stuck in my head the rest of the night. It was a pretty good production and my sister and I had a good time picking our favorite dancers and singers, haha.

After the show I went home to hang out with Matt and play with our new Mac Book Pro. Um did you hear that? We got a Mac Book Pro!!! Basically I'm super excited to play around with it some more and actually learn how to use it because so far I'm clueless (so yes this means share your tips and Mac knowledge because I would really appreciate it, haha). But it's awesome to have since both of our computers are currently on the fritz. So basically the night was spent ogling the computer, drinking wine and watching TV, aka loverly.

Saturday: Day o errand running and DVR watching. Twas loverly having some time to myself while Matt was working with my dad. It was also quite loverly to buy some new dresses at H&M, I'm pretty sure I have a dress addiction these days, and it's lovely. Eventually Megan came over and it was time to go. We were headed to the LA Kings hockey game and even got to hang out in the Carl's Jr. suite. It was quite awesome. There was delicious food, Carl's Jr. snuggies and fun people to talk to, oh yeah and a hockey game to watch (even though the Kings lost 4-1).

Tara and me with the Happy Star, rocking our
Carl's Jr. snuggies.

Megan and I enjoying the snugginess.

the Happy Star and Bailey the Kings mascot
cheering on the team!

oh yeah, there was a game going on too, haha.

Basically it was a fun star-filled night and for even more pics and awesome check out Tara's recap of the night!

Sunday: After sleeping in a bit (hello 10:30 I love you) Matt suggested we go out to breakfast/brunch and I can never say no to that. So we settled on Green Steet Restaraunt and oh man was it delicious. We both had mimosas and egg scrambles and yeah it was magical and just fun. However, once we got home I pretty much passed out on the couch for three hours (um what is wrong with me??) before getting up to go walking. After walking the night was spent relaxing, yelling at Charter (both our TV and internet were messing up) and eventually watching Speed on BluRay (oh yes it's even better and just as awesome as I remember it).

And how was your weekend? Get some sleep? Watch any hockey?

happy tuesday!

  • Say Yes to the Dress. It's taken over my morning ritual of watch the Today Show lately and god I love it.

Hollywood go round.

Another day, another week in Hollywood and here we go.
  • Starting off this week's cuteness we have the oh so adorable Kingston and Zuma Rossdale enjoying some pool time with mama Gwen. Seriously this picture just makes my heart melt a wee bit with their oh so big smiles.

gah those smiles are so dang cute.

  • Next up in the cuteness we have little Honor Warren taking a ride with mama Jess. Seriously her facial expressions are precious.

    precious.

  • Also in bebe news, Kevin Costner and his wife are expecting another child (I believe this makes his total count seven, I think he's in a secret race with Mel Gibson); Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are also expecting a little sibling for Archie which is super exciting and cute; Also expecting is little (well not so much any more) Winnie Cooper aka Danica McKellar, precious.

  • In some non bebe news...Isla Fisher and Sasha Baron Cohen got married over the weekend, congrats to one of the funniest Hollywood couples...Shia LaBeouf ran the LA Marathon over the weekend, good for him...Reese Witherspoon stepped out with her new man for her birthday over the weekend and she just looks so happy so good for her...Aziz Ansari is going to host this year's MTV Movie Awards, well that should be interesting...and Iggy Popo has retired from stage diving after an unfortunate incident over the weekend.

  • And in some favorites news...
Of course after I said that my favorite Hollywood leading lady, Sandra Bullock, was having the best year ever something ridiculous has to happen. And not a good ridiculous a blah and I still don't have word for all this tattoo mistress, cheating Jesse and just gah all around. I hope it all works out for the best and Sandy is with her family and best pals (Keanu and Ryan I'm lookin at you!).

In happier news, Sam Worthington is on this month's cover of Details and holy hell that man is one hot Aussie. He's also pretty funny, his interview had me laughing while his pictures had me swooning. Le swoon, le swooooon.

    hello hawtness.

  • And in Twilight news...
New Moon came out on DVD over the weekend (and somehow I still don't own it yet) and apparently there is some sneak peeks and behind the scenes of Eclipse. Um hello June 30th, where are you already?

And in some Twilight star news, Ashley Greene was out and about enjoying some California sun and seriously I love her style.

    heart her.

  • In movie news...
The Hangover 2. Is officially set to start filming in November. I really want to know what the hell they're going to do for a sequel but I also can't wait to see it.
The Muppet Movie. Well another one is coming out and one of my favorites, Jason Segel is going to co-write, co-produce and star in it. I'm sort of really excited for it if it's anything like his Dracula musical in Forgetting Sarah Marshall it should be a winner.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4. Although I'm still not a fan of this idea without Orlando and Kiera, I am curious to see Penelope Cruz in it. She has officially signed on to play the daughter of Blackbeard and I'm admittidedly intrigued.

    007. A 23rd James Bond movie is in the works and Freida Pinto has officially signed on to be one of the new Bond girls. I think she is so gorgeous, so nice pick Hollywood.

  • In TV news...
Top Model. Oh man what a season this has been. So far two girls that I thought would be on it a while were kicked off (seriously I thought they'd last longer) and there is way too much screaming and crying, I mean really. And as always, for the best recap, check out Four Four and prepare to laugh like wo.

  • And lastly in today's WTF news we have a ridiculously dumb burglar who broke into a computer store, used the computer to access his Myspace account and look at porn and try to sell items from the store. Needless to say this idiot got arrested in no time.
So anything I missed? Let me know!

happy tuesday!

An oh so Stylish weekend.

Remind me to never stay up until 3:30 again (unless it's in Vegas, then it's acceptable). Anyhoozits, I had quite the busy and fun weekend so of course I have to share...

Friday: Woke up bright and early and headed to LAX to catch my flight to Seattle with Justine and Catherine from Brand About Town.

such a pretty city.

As soon as we landed we were on our way to Nintendo headquarters. Basically that place is awesome with DSi's and Wiis and all sorts of games to play. We got a short briefing on Style Savvy (which I didn't really need because it's sad how much I know about this game) and then we were on our way and checked into our hotel downtown. Basically I love staying downtown in any city because you can walk so many places (and the view of the water nearby helped also).

the view from my hotel room.

Eventually we walked to dinner where we saw this gem:

i'm so easily amused.

Once we got to dinner we had a great time chatting it up, eating some delicious French cuisine and just hanging out. Basically we had an earlyish night since we knew Saturday would be a long day but it was fun to have some time to myself in my room and just relax a bit.

Saturday: Slept in a bit, had some Starbucks (because hello I was in Seattle) and before I knew it we were on our way. Like I said on Friday I went to Seattle to help Justine and Catherine with a luncheon sponsored by Nintendo Style Savvy for a group of girls from the mentor program Powerful Voices.

It was so much fun hanging out with the girls and showing them the game and just listening to them talk and just having fun. On top of a delicious lunch we also got to meet celebrity stylist, Jen Rade, and hear her share her life story.

me and Jen, seriously she's so cool.

Basically Jen was awesome. It was so cool to hear her talk about stories from working on hip hop videos with Tupac and Snoop and Usher to working with Angelina Jolie now to going to Michael Jackson's last rehearsal for This Is It and all sorts of amazing things. She had such a great message too it was just inspiring.

Once the lunch was over we were on our way back to the aiport and back home. Matt and my friend AJ picked me up and we headed on over to Matt's mom's house to hang out for the night. Pretty much the night consisted of lots of dirty jokes, alcohol, some BBQ, more alcohol and ridiculous conversation until three thirty in the morning. It was a little nuts. I haven't stayed up that late in so long but man was it fun.

Sunday: Yeah I'm not meant to stay up that late drinking any more. Ask the twelve or so people I decided to drunk text (seriously now that I have so many texts I don't know what to do with them, haha) and the friends that saw me Saturday and Sunday. Oh and the family that made fun of me in my hangoverness, haha. Basically Sunday was spent having a delicious breakfast, ordering our wedding invitations, lounging on the couch, walking at the Rose Bowl (how I managed to do that and not die is beyond me), going to my cousin's birthday party and coming home to watch Boondock Saints II. Basically a very hungiover, unproductive (well minus the invite ordering) and ridiculous day. So is it Friday yet?

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

In the city of McSteamy. (and McDreamy).

So did I mention that I'm in Seattle right now? I didn't? My bad. Well, I'm in Seattle!

I love Seattle.

I mean how could I not LOVE this???

I first went to Seattle on a class trip in high school where we visited Olympic national park and stayed in cabins and skipped rocks on the lake and did day hikes and it was all green and glorious and pretty and I think it rained maybe half a day, out of a whole freaking week. The second time I went to Seattle was when my mom and I spent seven days checking out fourteen colleges between Seattle and Portland (to say it was a little nuts was an understatement). And the whole week we were checking out schools...freaking gorgeous weather again, not a single day of rain! So when application time came I actually only applied to two of those fourteen schools because I had to keep reminding myself that one of the schools had underground tunnels because it rained so much (and ohmygod that scared the bejeebus out of me) and I don't like rain, I'm much rather endure snow (hello Ohio).

So basically Seattle has spoiled me. And according to weather.com I'm about to get spoiled again with 63 degree weather, sunshine and a 0% chance of rain. Now hopefully I'm not jinxing myself or anything but three trips to Seattle with only like 3% rain ever is sort of a miracle right? I think Seattle loves me. And that's quite alright because I love Seattle too (I mean hello, Grey's Anatomy takes place there, how could I not love it!??! I kid, I loved it before Seattle Grace took over).

And why am I in Seattle? Because I'm hanging out with Justine and some other fabulous Brand About Town people to share my love of Style Savvy (no really, I'm obsessed. Matt will vouch for this. And so will Julie since 75% of our conversations are discussing this game) with some young ladies from Powerful Voices. Awesome right? Basically I'm quite excited to be back in Seattle and to be doing something I love.

Any fun plans for you this weekend? Are you a Style Savvy fan as well? Then we should be friends, haha.

happy weekend!

But I don't want the world to end.

So have I mentioned before how I'm a major wuss and am starting to become a bit paranoid? No? I haven't? Oh. Well. I am.

Let me just put it out there....I have an irrational fear of the world ending. Seriously, I'm not kidding. I hate end of the world themed movies (except Independence Day because you just can't hate that movie and hello! Harry Connick Jr. has a role [albeit brief] in it and I heart him big time) because they freak me out and hello I'm not a good swimmer so if a massive wave came there is no way I'd survive that and I was never a girl scout so I don't really have "survival skills" and the end of the world is just a downer.

So needless to say that all of the earthquakes that have been going on around the world have me a little on edge. And the fact that a 4.4 (yes I know that's nothing compared to other quakes worldwide but for all I knew it was "The Big One") hit LA on Tuesday morning did not help my paranoia (well that and the fact that there have been so many huge earthquakes around the world lately it's just nerve wrecking!).

Also, let's be honest, I just don't want the world to end! There is so much I want to do in my life and 2012 is just not enough time. So Hollywood, stop making movies that offer legitimate (well to me they sound legitimate) evidence that the world is going be hit by a giant hurricane or a ridiculous earthquake because my wussy heart just can't take it. That and all this 2012 stuff is messing with my psyche (right word? I have no idea) and I hope it's all a big flop like Y2K.

So um can we still be friends even though I'm a big paranoid weirdo?

Or are you afraid of big natural disasters too?

happy thursday!

Kiss me I'm (almost) Irish!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day today I decided to share what I'm thankful to Ireland for.
  • Irish nachos. I mean really have you had these?? They are freaking delicious.

  • Kelly Green. Yes, the color. And yes I know that Ireland didn't necessarily make it up but it is very much associated with the lovely country and the fabulous holiday it provides.

  • Pots of gold. Because who doesn't love pots of gold? I would actually appreciate one right now, that would be nice.

  • Irish soda bread. Have you had this before? I had it for the first time last year and man was it tasty.

  • Irish accents. Almost as hot as Australian accents but hot nonetheless and I mean really who's not a fan of accents?

  • Jigs. Jigs are fun and silly and ridiculous and how can you not love them?

  • Gaelic Storm. This band is awesome and provide me with such gems as "Pina Colada in a Pint Glass" and "Hills of Connemara" (which is from the steerage dance scene in Titanic and how could I not LOVE that!) and "Fish and Get Fat."

  • And what I want to thank Ireland for the most??.....Why Matt of course!!

    my most favoritest Irish man.

Hope you all have a fantastic St. Patrick's Day!

happy wednesday!

The Hollywood cuteness.

Now that award season is over it's back to normal in Hollywood, well whatever sort of normal there is for Hollywood. Annnnd go!
  • Starting off today's post with a whole lotta cuteness we have my favorite Hollywood family out and about enjoying some good ole California sun.

ohmygoodness how freaking precious is little Seraphina!

aw Ben and Violet are quite the pair.

  • Moving on to some more cuteness we have the oh-so-freaking-adorable Harlow Madden. Seriously her curls are all sorts of precious and I sort of hope my future daughter looks like her.

    oh so freaking adorable!!

  • Moving on from the cuteness and onto some Hollywood stories...Betty White, the baddest biatch in Hollywood will officially be hosting SNL May 8th, so set your DVRs!..Ladies tired of guys not looking you in the eyes? Try Forehead Tittaes, Marion Cotillard swears by them...David Schwimmer is getting married to his 24 year old lady friend, congrats...On the opposite end of that, Kate Winslet and her husband Sam Mendes split which is quite sad, I heart Kate...and Jessica Simpson is planning on having a baby with Ken Paves if she's not married by 40, ummmokay....annnnd Reese Witherspoon is seriously one of the most adorable women in Hollywood and I sort of really want her purple dress:

    love her, love the dress.

  • And in Twilight news....
So the Eclipse trailer came out and I'm ready for the next one, haha. I didn't love it but that doesn't mean I can't wait to see the movie. Also, this video for some behind the scenes footage is way more exciting.

Also, exciting? Rob Pattinson in a top hat on the set of Bel Ami.

    oooh la la.

  • In movie news...
As much as I don't love 3D movies, I will so be in the theaters when Titanic is rereleased in 2012 (100 years after the ship sank) in 3D. I mean really, how could I not see that movie again? I freaking love it!

Also, I watched Public Enemies on Sunday and here's what I thought.

  • And in music news....
In case you missed it, OkGo released a new music video and it's sort of freaking awesome. No really, you need to watch it.

  • In TV news...
Grey's Anatomy. Aw Lexie still likes Sloan and Sloan thinks he likes Teddy and Owen sort of likes Teddy and Meredith knows it and just all sorts of emotions going on here. For once the episode wasn't totally depressing and I totally love that Bailey is finally getting some action (and to a good looking man!) and

Top Model. Welcome to a new season of crazy girls and a whole lot of screaming. I don't really have any favorites yet but I do love the fact that there's going to be a whole lot more of the Jays, who are my fave. For the best recap around, check out Four Four and all the wonderful gifs.

The Mentalist. Are you watching this show yet? Has my incessant praise got you tuned in yet? Because you should. Last week's episode, albeit a bit sad, was pretty entertaining. Any episode where Simon Baker runs is guaranteed to be amusing. Basically I laughed a whole lot and it was superb.

  • Lastly in today's WTF news we have a man that decided to marry a pillow. Yes, a pillow. What is the world coming to these days?

Anything I missed? Let me know.

happy tuesday!

A sunsational weekend.

I almost forgot how much I love spending time outside, but this weekend definitely reminded me of that and I can't wait to get back out there.

Friday: After a lovely day at work I headed home and Matt and I headed to dinner at Bar Louie. It was quite a fun looking place, sort of reminded me of Yard House which was fun but their mac and cheese definitely did not live up to the one at Yard House. After dinner Matt and I met up with his brother and our neighbor to see Alice in Wonderland. I liked the movie, but I didn't love it. Basically I think I need to see it again to appreciate it more.

Saturday: After a nice morning work out (I'm looking at you Wii Fit/EA Active) Matt and I were on our way to Palm Desert. Seriously the drive was gorgeous, the sun was shining, there was snow on the mountains and it was just loverly.

Once we got to Matt's aunt's house we hung out for a little bit before heading to Matt's cousins' house. We spent some time hanging out at their house before heading to lunch and talking about our wedding ceremony because Matt's cousins will be officiating. It was fun to get to know them and talk wedding and all that jazz and just have a good time all around.

After lunch we went back to Matt's aunt's house and hung out for a bit and did some walking before heading to this aweosme steak house, Sullivan's, for dinner. Basically it was all sorts of amazing and delicious and I'm salivating just thinking about it again. It was a fun time hanging out with just Matt and his aunt since every other time we're together there are about three times more people and it can get a little hectic.

Sunday: Slept in a bit before having some breakfast with Matt's aunt before heading on home. It was definitely another perfectly sunny and wonderful day for a drive and a walk, which is what we did at the Rose Bowl when we got home. Basically we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and watching TV and what not and yelling at my computer that just didn't want to work (and still doesn't, ahhhhh someone fix it please!!).

All in all it was a lovely weekend and I am so excited about Daylight Savings and the fact that I'll have a sunny drive home after work today, wahoo!

And how was your weekend?

happy monday!

Friday, March 12, 2010

Some more engaging photos.

So remember how Matt and I took some engagement pictures? Well I only shared a handful of them before and I figured, why not share some more? That and it's Friday and no one really reads posts on Fridays anyways so pictures it is! Enjoy!

Basically we're just a silly pair and don't mind taking a picture here or there. And now I just can't wait to take our wedding pictures and get our friends involved in the silliness as well.

Anyhoo hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

happy friday!

A Night with Seth MacFarlane.

So remember last year when I went to Paley Fest for Fringe and met Joshua Jackson and it was all sorts of awesome? Well Paley Fest is going on again now and on Tuesday night Matt and I went to the night honoring Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy (and American Dad and the Cleveland Show). Basically I am the best fiance ever for forgoing tickets to see the Glee cast for the Seth tickets instead because I knew it'd be something Matt would enjoy.

And luckily I enjoyed it too. By the end of the night my cheeks were sore from laughing and smiling so much.

The show started with a Family Guy/American Dad/Cleveland Show montage which was all sorts of entertaining (especially since I don't watch any of the shows that often). From there the panel, which included Seth Green, Alex Borstein and several other writers and producers on various Seth shows and Seth MacFarlane of course, came out and the night, moderated by Bill Maher, began!

the whole panel, quite the hilarious group.

Everyone shared stories about how they met Seth, embarrassing Seth stories and a whooooole bunch of dirty jokes.

some one-on-one with Seth.

and a little more.

my attempt at a close up of Alex and Seth Green.

Some of the best things that were shared were:
  • Chris's voice was based off of someone daring Seth Green to audition using the voice of Buffalo Bill.
  • All of the characters voices have progressively gotten deeper over the years, not intentionally it's just happened that way.
  • Seth used to work at Hannah Barbera and has definitely been influenced by lots of early cartoons as well as musicals.
  • Alex Borstein has slept with everyone. (not really but it was a running joke the whole panel).
  • Peter's voice is based off of a security guard that worked at RISD and Stewie's voice is from a character in My Fair Lady.
  • Seth can do all sorts of impersonations, sometimes better than the actual star.
  • Seth's Kermit voice was one of the funniest parts of the night.
  • On the show they can't say "God Dammit" or "Jesus Christ" unless Jesus really is there, which is a likely possibility.

All in all everyone was so candid and switching between character voices and sharing funny anecdotes that it made the evening quite entertaining all around. Although I'm not a converted Family Guy super fan or anything it is quite a funny show and now just a little bit funnier since I know some of what goes into it.

Are you a Seth fan? Oh and if you're a TV fan in general, check out the Paley Center, you won't regret it.

happy thursday!

Oh it's Oscar time!

How are the Academy Awards over already? Seriously, it's just so sad. And man this recap would have been a lot easier and coherent if I had my computer out during the show, but alas I was too busy drinking belinis and clapping and yelling at the TV and hanging out with some friends that were over and eating candy and just having a good time all around. So this year my recap is pretty much my thoughts about the night in general and in no particular order:
  • I have no idea what Keanu was doing there and why he was asked to present but I did not object and I most definitely screamed like a school girl when he was on screen. But seriously can someone please make him shave!?!?!

at least he put a suit on, haha.

  • And ohmygod a man who was totally okay to be there and had good reason and I just happened to turn on E! as he was getting interviewed...SAM WORTHINGTON! Oh yes his Aussie made me swoon and he definitely almost dropped an F bomb and I laughed and then I swooned some more and luckily my friend Courtney was here to swoon with me as well and Matt was just sadly outnumbered, but oh yes back to the point, HELLO SAM!

Oh he is so dapper and handsome.

  • And some of my favorite ladies on the red carpet:

can I please have this dress?!?!
    I LOVE IT.

aw what a cute siblings and I adore
    Maggie's print dress.

love this color and shape and just adore.

Paula and Robin are such a cute couple, and man
that baby is going to be adorable.

    another fabulous dress, nicely done
    Elizabeth Banks, nicely done.

  • And for the "can I please look this hot at your age" winners I picked Meryl and Sigourney because man I loved their dresses, they were just appropiate for them:

can I please have this dress? No really
    I love it.

Meryl is just the epitome of classy.

  • And some of the ladies who's dresses and looks I wasn't too much of a fan of and don't really feel like putting their pictures up: Miley Cyrus (stop slouching woman!) and her mom (step away from the spray tan!), Zoe Saldana (umm a little too floofy for me, not a fan), Vera Farmiga (one. I'm pretty sure she was drunk before the show even began and two. I didn't like the fan look, loved the color though) and as much as it pains me to say it, Diane Kruger (not a fan at all, definitely prefer her second dress better well that and it didn't hurt that Joshua Jackson showed up with her at the end of the night).

    Josh where were you earlier?!
And I do sort of love the gray suit, tre fun.

  • NPH I heart you big time, for eva and eva, especially because the opening number had a Harold and Kumar mention.

  • I'm pretty sure there hasn't a been a year that the Academy hasn't snubbed someone big in the In Memorium section and every year they argue that there just isn't enough time. But there's enough time for some weird ass interpretative dance and a tribute to horror films (oh and by the way New Moon is NOT a horror film)

  • The whole "Kanye" moment was just so petty and I couldn't understand a freaking word that woman was saying anyways. I just think they both took away from what looks like a really poignant movie. So boo to two adults that couldn't work something out. Don't know what I'm talking about? Here's the scoop.

  • Ohmygosh the Ben Stiller Avatar moment was way funnier than I thought it was going to be and I definitely had a good laugh.

  • I'm putting it out there, Mo'nique bugs me. Her speech, her interviews, she just has this fake attitude. Like yeah I know you did a kick ass job in Precious and you're not just a Phat Girl but stop acting so ridiculous it's driving me nuts!

  • The Dude wins it. Loved his speech and I may or may not have gotten all teary at the dedication to his parents and man, just so cute.

    El Duderino.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHH SANDY!!!!! Yes she may have had it in the bag but sometimes you just don't know and I thought Gaby could have possibly won it. So yeah I screamed a bit and possibly even got all teary during her fabulous speech (oh and check out her Razzie speech as well, seriously I didn't think she could get more awesome) and was basically all sorts of happy for her!

    HEART HER!
(as if that wasn't obvious already)

  • And props to Kathryn Bigelow and The Hurt Locker. Although I probably would have voted for Up in the Air, I definitely think The Hurt Locker deserved the win and it was just so cute seeing how excited to whole cast and crew was to win it.

Whew that was exhausting, if you made it through that then I hope you enjoyed. Anything big I forgot to mention? All in all I thought it was a pretty entertaining (albeit long) show and Steve and Alec did a pretty good job. I also loved the intros for the best actor and actress nominees

happy tuesday!
